The Sausage Smash with a cup of coffee was the best breakfast I've had in a long time! Great local ingredients. Very well prepared. Reasonable price. Peaceful atmosphere. Prompt service.

Love this place so far. I've just gotten lunch a few times but they have a bit of everything on the menu with options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Plenty of vegan and gluten free options! I've tried the vegan banh mi, vegan reuben, vegan brown sugar cookie, blondie, and Italian soda in lavender and vanilla. The marinated tofu used on both the banh mi sandwich and reuben is delicious. Lots of veggies on both of the sandwiches. The banh mi wasn't traditional - the mint and cilantro were more like a pesto instead of whole fresh herbs and the marinated tofu is a little different - but I really liked their take on it. Both desserts were really good, but in particular the gooey blondie with the flaked salt topping. I'm also grateful for the option to add cream to the Italian soda here - I love Italian cream soda but this is the first place I've been in a while that makes it. The atmosphere is very casual as you can place your order and pay at the counter and then seat yourself, but it's still nice and comfortable, and kept clean.

We stopped into the Hive looking for something quick and not fried. You order at counter get a number, and they bring it out to you. I enjoyed the chill vibe. I grabbed a Cortado coffee to go, and it was great! The Banh Mi was good. Not authentic, but had good flavor. I liked how it was wrapped in the parchment for cleaner eating. I could have used more veggies in it. The chicken pot pie was very flaky and good. Soup and rice and beans were comforting. We also got a smash burger that was ok, it was good, soft bread, but not our favorite.

I've been to Hive a few times and it's a solid option for breakfast and lunch. Hive is a stand to order type of place/counter-service, immediately upon entry. The chicken pot pie was a bit too sweet for my liking. Baked goods are pretty good. Their matcha (notoriously bitter) was surprisingly done well. Service is usually timely. We came at an intense Sunday brunch rush hour and they were good about letting us know that we were close to their max capacity so that we were more prepared for ordering. They have comfortable seating both indoor and outdoor.

AWESOME place! One of my absolute go-tos in Bloomington for breakfast and brunch. I love their all-day breakfast menu, and the tater tots are unbelievably tasty -- perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. Their weekend brunches are even better -- the blueberry pancakes and quiche slices absolutely rock. Tons of great breakfast and lunch options, so there's always something new to try. The vibe is very casual and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly. You order at the counter, and they bring your food right to your table. Prices are reasonable, and they even have a rewards program, which is a nice bonus. I also appreciate how clean this restaurant is in general, too. A must-visit if you're in Bloomington -- Hive never disappoints!

Loved the outdoor seating and the coffee was quite good. We thought the food was good, not out of the world amazing, but good. We tried a variety of dishes, a breakfast sammie (loved the challah), two different burgers and avocado toast. I liked that we could serve ourselves coffee and soda. The hot honey and jams were delicious. Definitely a solid choice if you are looking for a quick brunch or lunch a bit away from campus.

We have been visiting Hive at 10th and the Bypass since their opening. One World has a great tradition of good food at Lennie's and the we have been so happy to have this option on the East side. Lots of parking Pies so many delicious pies Indoor/outdoor seating Some fun menu offerings that make it a little more distinct Love the velvet soup, roast chicken, the bahn mi (so delish), and the Hive out of course. The grab and go pickup is wonderful. I love sending in an order and having my husband just run in on his way home and it is ready to go on the shelf with no waiting in line.

This was my first time trying Hive. I've heard so many good things about the tater tots so I had to try them. This is the type of place where you order at the front, sit down, and then they bring your food to you when it's ready. I liked how spacious it was with lots of natural light and outdoor seating for when it's nice out. We ordered the smash burgers and these were decent burgers. I expected a little more flavor but it's okay. The bun is really soft but the meat and toppings slip out really easily. The tater tots were honestly life changing--a 5/5! I loved the sauce they came with. I would definitely come again to try other items on their menu, especially the brownie pie!

GREAT RESTAURANT FOR A WEDDING REHEARSAL DINNER IN BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA…read more================================================== My son and his wife reserved the back room at Farm Bloomington on Friday, June 19, 2026 and it was very nice. Our group of about forty filled the room. My daughter-in-law put some things on the tables which was a nice touch. We had a set menu with appetizers and main course options along with two drink coupons each. The room was very nice, the food was good and the service was great. I would highly recommend booking this room for a large group.

They're incredibly unique and their appetizer portion is HUGE and great for a group of people. 2. Their drinks - also unique, and really good. If you're looking for a good cocktail this is a great option. 3. Vibes - the space is cute, the vibes are fun - great for a dinner with friends or a date night. (Or a girlie brunch!) I give 4 stars because sometimes their menu feels boring - not much changes and it's a pretty small menu. I have to be in a very specific mood if I'm going here, and there's usually only 2 things I'll order. Id love more seasonal menus or just more options. Their service can also be hit or miss. I've been and had wonderful service, and I've been and felt like they forgot I existed. No one wants to be waiting around to order a drink, or to get the check. Overall - I'd definitely go. Make a reservation because they do get busy.

Hubby had the tenderloin breakfast #9 and said it was delicious. Tenderloin was melt in your mouth good. Opt for the 3D fried potatoes instead of hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly and toast was liberally buttered. Fantastic and delicious! I had the #13 skillet. Very tasty and not over cooked like many scrambled skillets. We both had 1/2 biscuits and gravy - also delicious! Not salty so you can add your own to taste and also pepper. Makes it perfect for both of us! We will definitely be back when we are here next time! Oh and our server was absolutely lovely and very attentive despite having a ton of tables and running around like crazy. Great food every time, with plenty of variety. I even strayed from the norm on this visit and ordered the breakfast burrito. To be fair, I prefer the large breakfast platters (and biscuits and gravy) but I knew I had a big lunch ahead so I ordered small. The burrito was great, though the sausage distribution was uneven. Half of it was amazing and full of sausage. The other half less so. My son had on of the platters and I apologize for forgetting the name, but it was ham, eggs hash browns and toast. Loved it of course, and probably would have ordered more if I let him! Service always quick and friendly, and it's a place we repeat often.

Long ago, Dats used to be Yats, but while retaining the Yats format, they changed. It's not quite as good as Yats in Indy but it's still pretty good. This is inside of a tiny market, and they serve Middle Eastern foods, too. We ordered Cajun, a Thai Chili ettouffe and another with spinach artichoke and crawdad etouffe. These are served over rice, and come with garlic bread. These had been simmering for a while but were still pretty flavorful. Unlike Yats, there aren't a selection of hot sauces, but they were pretty nicely-spiced. Warn them if you can't handle spice. You get a beverage from a cooler, and many are available. There are seats for about 25 or so inside, more outside. The price isn't high for this restaurant row. Parking on the street costs money, unless it's Sunday. It's low-key, reasonably good food and a wide variety of it. We'll be back to try the Middle Eastern items, like falafel. The store is somewhat tiny and caters to Middle Eastern and South Asian tastes, with a few Latin additions. It's like a bodega in some ways, perhaps Bloomington's version of a deli with seats and variety.

The sandwich, which is a vegetarian version of a Reuben with roasted veggies instead of meat, was delicious. They really piled on the veggies. Some fell out of the sandwich, but I just ate them with the home fries. The home fries also were nicely seasoned. The tea was a little off. It's possible it was the tea itself that didn't taste how I expected, but it kind of tasted like I was getting the flavour of a different tea in the pot. Breakfast: Apple pancake and bouquet latte (seasonal special - lavender Ceylon tea latte with honey and rose syrup). The bouquet latte was wonderful and had this beautiful red swirl latte art. The pancake was nice and fluffy. One pancake is something like $5, but one is enough for a complete meal, maybe with a protein side if you're especially hungry. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The food didn't take very long even though they seemed busy.
