I got an ear curation bone by Liv! She was so easy to work with, kind, communicative, and knowledgeable about her work. Her office is the cutest piece of Barbie Land and I cannot wait to go back and get even more piercings done by her!!!

Super high quality, straight (like laser straight) lines, beautiful accents and shading. STOP Looking for another tattoo shop.... Seriously, This is the best place in town hands down. The quality of work from Nick Bones, Swarm, Chad & Mike is unprecedented. Simply amazing. They will take the time to truly understand what you want and will deliver. This is some of the completed work I've had done by Nick Bones. The Mando Tattoo was a very difficult coverup. The prices are very fair and reasonable especially with the quality they put out. Go see them and you'll thank me later.

I have known/know of 4 of the artists for years as a long time client of a different shop. When one of them decided to open his own place and three others jumped ship, I followed as I'm loyal to my artist. I have to say, I am so glad I did as Hive Tattoo is awesome! All the artists are amazing, friendly, and professional. They truly like each other and are friends, which makes for a very relaxing and fun environment. It's a family atmosphere as many of the artists have their SOs, kiddos, or other family members visit regularly. The shop itself is super rad - it's very clean and the wall art is fun/eclectic. They have a beautiful big screen TV playing your favorite Star Wars movies and shows, Marvel movies, or sports. I'm working on a long term project with Chad James and couldn't be happier. But all of the artists are top quality so check out "the buzz" at Hive Tattoo!

I got tattooed by Jose Hurtado. I had reached out to him back in August to schedule an appointment and i gave him a photo of what i wanted. I found Olivia through instagram, and immediately loved her personal style + work featured on her page. Her little office, inside Hive Tattoo, is clean and cute (and Barbie-themed!), and she has just the most calming and professional demeanor. I got my septum pierced by her, and honestly could not recommend her more - all I felt was the slightest little pinch, and I felt so cute! Liv is absolutely dope. I love her. My daith piercing was giving me issues and she gave me so much patience with assisting me in figuring it out. I saw Olivia on TikTok and decided I'd visit for a piercing. She was super nice and knowledgeable. I was a little nervous but she walked me through the whole process and eased my mind. Olivia gave me all the after care instructions and went over them with me. She explained the healing process and what to expect. Since the Penn and Teller show had been canceled, my mom and I decided a tattoo was a worthy thing to do in place of their show. We met with Lindsay, and she was a sweet girl. Love her! I decided to get the Penn and Teller Ampersand on my arm in color. And she did an amazing job! Fell asleep during the tattoo! She has a very relaxing touch! Jose Hurtado is hands down one of THE best tattoo artists out there. His work speaks for itself. I literally just explained the subject matter and showed a couple references and he came up with this all this on his own. Truly remarkable. It's funny I got to meet swarm for the first time many years ago when he was at studio 21. He did my new orleans saints tattoo. He took my design and made it Art. Now fast forward to 2021 I went back to studio 21 for another tattoo but swarm was gone. I didn't know he had opened his own shop. I met Jose Hurtado. He did a little mermaid tattoo that when finished was above and beyond any expectation I had. It is truly gorgeous. When my furry son passed away in April of 2022 I called Jose for a memorial tattoo. To discover he was now at hive and swarm was the owner! Some of the top tattoo artists under one roof! I couldn't ask for more. Jose did the most beautiful tattoo of our fur-sons paw print for both me and my husband. The design truly honored my boy and I cant thank him enough. I will definitely be back for my next tattoo. And I must mention the shop it was really nice and very clean. I was very comfortable there. If you want a bomb tattoo this is the place!! read more

Really clean, welcoming place and everyone working in there were friendly and funny. I was totally comfortable from the second I walked in the door. I had got a tattoo by Dan. He was unprofessional as he was more focused talking to my friend than tattooing me. He had negative comments about all my tattoos. I wasn't going to get judged on my tattoos I was going to get tattooed. Also just had a lot of unsavory comments. I'm also just plain unhappy with the finished product. I won't go there just because of this experience nor would I recommend them. I wish I could give 0 stars read more

Got to visit Chad James at Hive Tattoo and I am so glad I did! From the minute I walked in everyone was so nice and welcoming! (Tattoo shops can be intimidating but I didn't feel this for one second here) everyone said hello and Chad was ready ON TIME, He showed me the stencil and we were ready to go! He took his time prepping my leg and placing the stencil and made sure I was happy with the placement. I reached out to Revolt before coming to town. I described in great detail what I wanted. I was…read moreclear about 12 characters, the size and placement of the tattoo. The only variable I didn't define if the font. I assumed the tattoo artist would know best what would work. For some reason, they wanted me to provide artwork. I get it, you do a lot of work and everybody wants something different, but I just wanted a name and date, since the size was specified, the only thing left to debate was the type style. For some reason, they couldn't or wouldn't quote me, I was told that there was a good chance it would be the shop minimum, but they couldn't confirm and with it being 110 degrees, I didn't want to be shuffling up and down the strip when any competent shop should have been able to quote me in advance. I've been to a few piercing shops around Vegas. Even once went to a piercer a couple of times who was in this industry over 25 years... Liv took better care of me than my last few piercers. I've had SEVEN piercings from her (and counting!). She's delicate to the touch, quick, but also very informative. There were things I didn't know I was not anatomically fit for but she helped me understand why not to get it done again, whereas the other shops took my money without me explanation. She is AMAZING. The owner then stated that Americana Tattoo Co. was not technically open. As the owner, he should take responsibility instead of using that as an excuse. The door was open, I was allowed inside, and there was no clear communication indicating that the shop was closed. If Americana Tattoo Co. does not want customers entering before its official opening time, the door should remain locked and the hours should be clearly displayed. Anyone placed at the front should also understand the services, pricing, and basic artistic process or know how to connect customers with someone who does. This is an ownership and staff training issue that Americana Tattoo Co. can correct. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and creates a more professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming experience for future clients.

You initially forgot to charge me for having it made gold. I was the one who reminded you of the charge. Because you did not want to process another transaction, you ultimately told me it was fine. Those are two very different things. What is most concerning is the response to even semi-negative reviews. Rather than acknowledging legitimate feedback, the tone comes across as dismissive and unwilling to accept any constructive criticism. A business should be able to hear feedback, even when it isn't flattering, without becoming defensive. We will happily be finding a new piercing home, one that welcomes and respects all walks of life and can accept constructive feedback professionally! Thanks :) ---- I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share our experience so others can make informed decisions when choosing a service provider. My sister and I decided to have a girls' day and ended up visiting this piercing and tattoo shop downtown. There is quite a bit of construction in the area, which made getting to the parking lot a little difficult, but as locals, we completely understand that this is sometimes unavoidable and it wasn't an issue for us. Unfortunately, our experience inside the shop was less positive. When we first walked in, we received very little acknowledgment and did not feel particularly welcomed. I recognized the owner from social media and noticed her sitting on a couch in the studio working on a project. A male employee eventually asked how he could assist us, but his overall demeanor came across as noticeably unwelcoming. I was interested in getting a Medusa piercing and had a few reasonable questions about how it might work with my anatomy. I also asked if I could see the specific jewelry I would be pierced with because I wanted to make sure the size and style would be appropriate for my face. I had to ask several times before he brought the jewelry out for me to see. Once he did, I was actually very happy with the piece and appreciated being able to see it beforehand. My questions, however, seemed to be met with visible frustration, which made me feel uncomfortable asking for clarification about a permanent modification to my face. While he was retrieving the jewelry, my sister and I tried making conversation with the owner. We asked whether she had any suggestions for my sister, who already has several facial piercings, and what she personally thought might look cute or be popular right now. We were simply looking for her professional or personal opinion and were not asking her to create anything custom. I ultimately decided to get my piercing, and I am happy with the jewelry and the piercing itself. My sister, however, was so uncomfortable with the overall customer service that she decided not to get anything done. I also feel it is important to mention that we are both African-American women. I cannot say what anyone's intentions were, and I do not want to make an accusation that I cannot substantiate. However, throughout our visit, we both had the uncomfortable feeling that we were not particularly welcomed or that we didn't quite belong in the space. That feeling is difficult to ignore when you are spending money at a business and simply trying to feel comfortable and respected as a customer. The shop itself is very cute, hip, whimsical, and fun, and I genuinely wanted to have a great experience there. I simply wish the customer service had felt more welcoming and inclusive. A little patience, warmth, and willingness to answer questions would have made a significant difference in our experience.
