Super high quality, straight (like laser straight) lines, beautiful accents and shading. STOP Looking for another tattoo shop.... Seriously, This is the best place in town hands down. The quality of work from Nick Bones, Swarm, Chad & Mike is unprecedented. Simply amazing. They will take the time to truly understand what you want and will deliver. This is some of the completed work I've had done by Nick Bones. The Mando Tattoo was a very difficult coverup. The prices are very fair and reasonable especially with the quality they put out. Go see them and you'll thank me later.

When one of them decided to open his own place and three others jumped ship, I followed as I'm loyal to my artist. I have to say, I am so glad I did as Hive Tattoo is awesome! All the artists are amazing, friendly, and professional. They truly like each other and are friends, which makes for a very relaxing and fun environment. It's a family atmosphere as many of the artists have their SOs, kiddos, or other family members visit regularly. The shop itself is super rad - it's very clean and the wall art is fun/eclectic. They have a beautiful big screen TV playing your favorite Star Wars movies and shows, Marvel movies, or sports. I'm working on a long term project with Chad James and couldn't be happier. But all of the artists are top quality so check out "the buzz" at Hive Tattoo!

I got tattooed by Jose Hurtado. I had reached out to him back in August to schedule an appointment and i gave him a photo of what i wanted. On the day of my appointment, he took my idea and gave me a much better version! I'm so glad I went with him. Any questions I had about the aftercare process, Jose responded right away. I found Olivia through instagram, and immediately loved her personal style + work featured on her page. Her little office, inside Hive Tattoo, is clean and cute (and Barbie-themed!), and she has just the most calming and professional demeanor. I got my septum pierced by her, and honestly could not recommend her more - all I felt was the slightest little pinch, and I felt so cute! Liv is absolutely dope. I love her. My daith piercing was giving me issues and she gave me so much patience with assisting me in figuring it out. I saw Olivia on TikTok and decided I'd visit for a piercing. She was super nice and knowledgeable. I was a little nervous but she walked me through the whole process and eased my mind. Olivia gave me all the after care instructions and went over them with me. She explained the healing process and what to expect. Since the Penn and Teller show had been canceled, my mom and I decided a tattoo was a worthy thing to do in place of their show. We met with Lindsay, and she was a sweet girl. Love her! Jose Hurtado is hands down one of THE best tattoo artists out there. His work speaks for itself. I literally just explained the subject matter and showed a couple references and he came up with this all this on his own. Truly remarkable. It's funny I got to meet swarm for the first time many years ago when he was at studio 21. He did my new orleans saints tattoo. He took my design and made it Art. Now fast forward to 2021 I went back to studio 21 for another tattoo but swarm was gone. I didn't know he had opened his own shop. I met Jose Hurtado. He did a little mermaid tattoo that when finished was above and beyond any expectation I had. It is truly gorgeous. When my furry son passed away in April of 2022 I called Jose for a memorial tattoo. To discover he was now at hive and swarm was the owner! Some of the top tattoo artists under one roof! I couldn't ask for more. Jose did the most beautiful tattoo of our fur-sons paw print for both me and my husband. The design truly honored my boy and I cant thank him enough. I will definitely be back for my next tattoo. And I must mention the shop it was really nice and very clean. I was very comfortable there. If you want a bomb tattoo this is the place!! read more

Really clean, welcoming place and everyone working in there were friendly and funny. I was totally comfortable from the second I walked in the door. I had got a tattoo by Dan. He was unprofessional as he was more focused talking to my friend than tattooing me. He had negative comments about all my tattoos. I wasn't going to get judged on my tattoos I was going to get tattooed. Also just had a lot of unsavory comments. I'm also just plain unhappy with the finished product. I won't go there just because of this experience nor would I recommend them. I wish I could give 0 stars read more

Got to visit Chad James at Hive Tattoo and I am so glad I did! From the minute I walked in everyone was so nice and welcoming! (Tattoo shops can be intimidating but I didn't feel this for one second here) everyone said hello and Chad was ready ON TIME, He showed me the stencil and we were ready to go! He took his time prepping my leg and placing the stencil and made sure I was happy with the placement. I went to frank for a tattoo thinking I was about to embark on a meaningful, spiritual journey of self-expression. What I actually embarked on was a psychological thriller directed by someone who once saw a tattoo machine in a YouTube ad and said, "Yeah, I can do that." First of all, this man's studio looked like a storage unit that lost a custody battle. The "vibe" was somewhere between abandoned dentist office and haunted vape shop. There was a single folding chair that sounded like it was begging for mercy every time I breathed. Now let's talk about the tattoo. I actually had to take a lap around the studio because WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT'S ON MY BODY FOREVER AND IT'S PERFECT??? The lines are so clean they look AI-generated. The shading? So smooth it feels illegal. The placement? Spiritual. Cosmically aligned. If I stand at the right angle I'm pretty sure it unlocks inner peace. I keep catching myself staring at it like it's a new pet. I have shown it to strangers. I have adjusted my outfits to make sure it's visible. I moisturize it like it's royalty. If it asked me for rent, I would pay it. The pain? Worth it. The adrenaline? Elite. The emotional attachment? Concerning. This tattoo has changed my personality. I now say things like "yeah, my artist..." as if I've been part of an underground art collective for years. I have zero chill about it. If you make eye contact with me for longer than two seconds, I will show you. Five stars for talent. Five stars for making me question reality. I walked in mildly nervous and walked out feeling like I had just been branded by a mysterious but benevolent art deity. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I understand him any better? Probably not. Do I care? Not even slightly. Anyway, 10/10. No notes. I would absolutely let this happen to me again.

I wanted to fit into the theme of north arrows but I didn't want to be literal as I already have a compass tattoo. I'm from Oregon and wanted a stalk of lavender and a bee. Tony understood the assignment and made it so artsy I can't stop looking at it. I'm not sure if I asked for an arrow, as I was exhausted from being out as sober support for my other surveyors after hours, but there is a shape of one with the bee and flower. I traced the lines on a photo because I am that professional and so my qa/qc . I truly love it! The whole appointment was a wonderful experience and now we both have a bee tattoo. I never get spontaneous tattoos and I'm so glad this worked out so well. I doubt I'll do it again unless I find Tony! I'll likely find him/travel if I get another larger tattoo in the future. Also, I want to note he was very respectful and aware I was a child of trauma with issues and a fidget toy. He not only watched for any buddy language, but also empathize with me in his families life experiences. Easiest tattoo experience I have had and it erased a "bad" experience relating to another tattoo artist, though their work was also very good.

I've been to a few piercing shops around Vegas. Even once went to a piercer a couple of times who was in this industry over 25 years... Liv took better care of me than my last few piercers. I've had SEVEN piercings from her (and counting!). She's delicate to the touch, quick, but also very informative. There were things I didn't know I was not anatomically fit for but she helped me understand why not to get it done again, whereas the other shops took my money without me explanation. She is AMAZING. I'm so happy I've found a steady piercer Hive is also a great environment -- non controversial, the artists are friendly and super cool peeps.
