On the phone before coming in I was told the gunsmith would need to see the gun to give an estimate, so I brought it in. In the shop I was told that I would get a phone call to give me an estimate when he got a chance to look over it. They never called to give an estimate. When I dropped my gun off I also left the new sights that I'd bought online. They came in a bag with all the tools and manuals with them. This bag - and my old sights - were thrown away. I also have posted before and after pictures of the damage done to the slide during the process. Overall for paying over $130, I expected better results and service.

I even called the manufacturer to try and find a local authorized distributor with zero luck. However the manufacturer suggested I call American Gun & Pawn in Dry Ridge Kentucky, as they were an authorized distributor. I made contact with American Gun & Pawn and they were able to order this rifle part for me, and since it was a serialized part -- they coordinated with a local FFL gun store to ship my item to, and to complete the DOJ registration locally. I am extremely grateful to American Gun & Pawn for making it possible for me to obtain this rifle part, when NOBODY else had access to it.
