This caused a complete waste of my time and disrupted my plans. What was even more disappointing was the interaction with the office manager, who was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, I was simply told to change my insurance. This level of scheduling mismanagement and lack of basic respect for patients is unacceptable for a medical office. I've been to this office twice, first visit I realized quickly the unkempt appearance of the waiting room but was in dire need to be seen for a back related injury. I've been dealing with that for over a year and not once have ever been called back by this office for any type of follow up after my MRI, even to go over results! I instead went to a chiropractor whom has helped me since. This visit today was supposed to be a physical and request for bloodwork to address some issues. I finally got an appointment after calling every few weeks but being told the Dr is on vacation or booked. My husband took off work to watch our kids and I go in today at 10:40 for my appointment at 11. I was not acknowledged by the front desk so I sit down in a full waiting room. I wait 45 minutes while taking in not one person has been called back to be seen by the dr. Another patient walks in to wait and the front desk tells them there is 8 people ahead of them and the dr is running behind. The lack of consideration is appalling. I have one day to get my appointments in order so my husband doesn't miss more work days and pay and so I have a dentist appointment as well. With 7 people ahead of me and during 45 minutes not one person was called back I would be waiting all day and would miss my next appointment. I go up to the desk and tell the woman I need to cancel my appointment because i have another one to get to and with the dr running behind I won't make it. She tells me the dr will be out of the office for the next week so if I want to reschedule it will have to be after that. Why bother? It's ridiculous that in the span of having this Dr the few times I've needed to go because I've been sick he's been on vacation every time and I've had to go to urgent care instead. They had perfect opportunity to tell me they were running behind at 10 am when I called this morning to confirm my appointment since I received no confirmation from them at any point this week. I would have not wasted the time of my husband taking time off work to watch the kids nor my time driving down to the office. He's been a practicing and successful physician for 54 years and at the same location for over 30. His office may be old as she points out in the picture, she posted but it's always very clean. The thing with doctors is that our personal evaluation is always subject to our own bias. Many times, we blame them for not taking care of us fast enough, not listening to our concerns closely, etc. However, my experience with Dr. Ho has been totally the opposite. I used to have Kaiser and wait months for appointments. By the time I was seen, I was already "cured" of my illnesses because I tried home remedies or ended up in urgent care. With D. Ho, I have called when I need to be seen quickly and his professional staff has always accommodated me, despite his schedule being packed all the time. During my visits, he quickly remembers how my health has been during prior visits to determine how I am in comparison today. He makes sure to give me a quick follow-up visit to see if my condition worsens or improves, and he is quick to give me any referrals I may need. This has been my family doctor since I was 8 and I am now 47. He always listens to me and is always available to me. He treated my whole family as a child and I brought my husband and both kids to him as well. First doctor that did a house call when my Dad was dying of cancer. He is absolutely amazing and has helped me with personal problems also. In 2012 I was diagnosed with MS and he made another neurologist look at all my work to confirm what they first doc told me. I went in for a stye. First thing he says when he walked into the room was "why you so big?!" I'm here for my stye but if u want to help me lose weight help me! Give me a nutritionist or some pills or something he replied to me "just don't eat!" Then after prescribing me antibiotics for a stye which I asked if I was getting drops he said " no they just fall out of the eye" I said what about something for the pain, he said "oh you big baby" . So I took the antibiotics he gave me and after day three was stuck in bed with a bad fever chills vomiting and diarrhea. The antibiotics he gave me were never suppose to be taken with the blood pressure meds HE prescribed me. Dr. Charlie Ho has been my primary doctor for little over a year now from what I recall. Recently I've been having a lot of issues with not only with Dr. Ho but with some of the nurses as well. It all got started when I was not told of a result that lead me to the emergency room for three days. It's been downhill since then. I then later on ask for a copy of my whole file,Which I had to pay for which was fine with me. Going through some of the paperwork few days after I found another patient's information at it with my file. At the time I was very busy with both of my jobs and school, So I didn't have the time to call them and let them now. So my mom being in the same insurance made the call for me. I went today to get another blood work because I had an incident. I always use protection with my boyfriend but I'd like to make sure because we are sexually active. Today dr. Ho started making a face and saying that I'm coming weekly to get tested and how I'm wasting government funds and his time getting all these test. I have been getting tested maybe once a month to maybe once every two months because I like to make sure. After explaining to him why I want to get tested he started laughing and saying what's the point of getting tested when you're keep on coming back every week. That's when I told him I'm not coming every week and I'm using protection with my boyfriend either way that's an inappropriate question and comment to make from the doctor to a patient. read more
