This place looked tempting and I wanted to see what it was all about. I sure was hoping for the best. My significant other and I walked inside. We stopped at the Rewards Club. I signed up and they gave me a cool card with $5.00 free play on it. I stopped at a pepsi machine and got a complimentary pepsi with ice. It was refreshing. The first thing I played was Single Hand Blackjack on a machine. The Min Table Bet: $2.00 on this one and I chose that denomination for most of my bets. I played quite a few hands with different bet amounts and even added the Lucky Lucky side bet on some of them. Unfortunately, the dealer got Blackjack and not me. I got up $9.00 for my short session, so that was good. After that, I decided to play at the Wolf Run machine. This one was 1¢ for the minimum. I put in $1 and then used my $5.00 free play. I started off by betting 1 Line Play 1 Per Line to learn the machine. I ended up betting each denomination all the way up until 20 Lines Play 5 Per Line. It also had a Repeat The Bet button, which came in handy to use multiple times. After a good amount of bets, I was up $5.00, so it was time to press the Cash Out button. The Cashier was in a convenient spot and it was fast each time I stopped there to claim each Cashout Voucher. The service throughout here was great. I didn't have any issues. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. I won't hesitate to come back. Date of visit: Aug 22, 2024

First the hotel: I had an accessible room on the first floor that had a sliding back door. It was nice that the "do not disturb" or "housekeeping" were each a magnet to put on your doorframe instead of a paper card to place and close inside your door. There are some insignificant dings in the walls of the rooms where the doors hit the walls. The bathroom had a large shower with zero entry. There was a drain in the middle of the bathroom floor itself. A sturdy seat folded down inside the shower to hold at least up to 500lbs. There is a bench across from the bathroom with a deep drawer underneath. Next to this is a closed closet. There are loose hangers, an iron, an extra blanket. There was a side table next to a soft chair. This was the first hotel on my 11 night trip that still provided pens and pads with their name on them. There is a microwave and refrigerator near the TV. Second the casino: Smaller than most. Smoke free is a definite plus! Masks are optional but completely accepted by security as long as they can get a clear view of your eyes. I just got my players card here for the first time. The employee was fun to talk to. He provided me with all the information that I needed. I played only about $.75 - $1 per pull on slot machines. My best result was a hit that was over $36. But I left it behind before I left. Lol! I felt safe, was well rested, could use the bathroom and shower and had a great time here. It was everything I needed! But a bit more maintenance and/or preventative maintenance type of products for the rooms would definitely be in order!

While it's not as flashy and grand as some of the newer casinos in the midwest (even after remodelling), I do enjoy spending a casual afternoon at Ho-Chunk Casino. There is definitely a large selection of games available and the atmosphere is fairly laid-back. Mixed in with free soda and generous spacing between different sections and it's easy to spend some time gambling either by yourself or with friends. There is also plenty of parking available. On the other hand, there is nothing to really make the casino stand out from other large ones in the Midwest either. But the decor and design do lend itself well to fitting in with the resort concept of the Dells.

Have only one bar in entire casino. Not enough seats around the bar. Plenty of slots and table games, but need a bar in the back section

I had never been and there was no signage…read moreoutside for where exactly the conference meeting rooms were located in relation to the hotel entrance and casino entrance (note: it is much closer to the hotel entrance). The parking lot is gigantic and obscenely far from the hotel entrance. Check in for the hotel was easy and the lady was so friendly! My room was on the complete opposite of the hotel, so I had to move my car - thank goodness the back parking lot was less crowded and had easier access to the hotel. My room was surprisingly nice compared to the reviews I had read. It had a little kitchenette, complete with a sink, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The room itself was large and had a neat pull-out table to use as a work space and a large balcony with a patio set. The bathroom had plentiful counterspace, hair dryer, and complimentary sized-bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, bar soap, and several makeup towelette wipes. The bed was clean and comfortable. The pillows are quite soft and squishy; perhaps you can ask for firmer pillows, but if you like a firm pillow I would suggest bringing your own. I was unable to enjoy the pool area, but there is a pool, hot tub, sauna, and workout room. And then there is the casino side, which was very quite during the week. There is a small food court in the casino area. It is kind of confusing because you sit down and there is waitstaff - at least if you wish to order Mexican. The food was okay; the chips and salsa was nice; I ordered a combo plate and the burrito was fine, but I would not recommend the chile relleno. Overall, quite expensive - definitely paying for convivence rather than quality - and no margaritas :( They do not offer a continental breakfast, and there is only a small café onsite that serves a few breakfast items. The hotel is not crazy fancy, but overall clean and well maintained. Food options are limited. It was very nice for a conference and I would book a night here in the future.

The patio door's inner privacy curtain was also torn. The good: The soap and body lotion both smelled great. The place looked clean and there was plenty of towels.

While they say on the site you would get a full refund everywhere prior to cancellation, once you cancel you get only 90% and it states you only get 90%. The 90% is not even on all the fees or full price. So on a nearly $90 reservation we received back about $75. We will not be adding our reservation back and will go elsewhere. Upon further thought if they are not honest and up front on pricing, they may be like other prices and cut corners on the ad retired experience as well. If we are driving an hour or more, we'd like it to be worth it. Plus I hate being ripped off.

It was a fantastic trip, everything was thorough and planned out and we had a great time. I saw a lot of individuals with different abilities have the best time. I had always heard good things, and this was the company to go to. I had recommended them to previous places of employment, for individuals to use for trips. Now, I have been having individuals I support go on these trips the past year or so. It has been a completely different experience. I had an individual attend a multiple day trip (not their first). They ended up having really bad bowel incontinence. I wasn't notified of this until pick up. They weren't given any PRN that was sent with to assist with this issue. We were then told since this was the first time this has happened, they could have one last chance. If it happened again they would need to be picked up and would need a 1:1. Okay, we agreed. Their next trip is coming up, and we get a phone call. They need a 1:1, an extra $650. I explained that this behavior has not happened since then and we were told they could have one more shot. They discussed and nope, needs a 1:1, and need to know by today if they can pay that much and are going. We also had a conversation about the possibility of having a female chaperone vs a male, due to their past. Nope, only the same gender can assist as 1:1. Well that doesn't always work for people. I asked if the money for this trip could be set aside for day trips, that they could attend. Yep, it can be, but they have to be a 1:1 for those also now. Uh...why? Never had an issue on day trips. Sadly, we pulled money out from Able Trek and took them off the trips. Also took another individual out of the trip. This is so so sad. This is a person that is completely capable of doing most things themselves. Not a total assist in cares. If you have an individual that wants to attend make sure they are able to completely do everything 100% independently. Otherwise, they may not get the support they need on these trips. Which in all honesty is disappointing, you shouldn't have to be worried about weather someone is being taken care of or not. On a trip that is advertised to assist with individuals that need it. The assistance they provide is someone to assist with money, medications and be a tour guide. That is about the extent. Which should be more for what these trips cost. The sole purpose of this company was to make trips for people to attend that couldn't normally. It doesn't seem to be their focus any longer. Which is highly disappointing...for a company I had heard so many good things about in the past. Something has changed.
