Just to get it out of the way, they really need to fix their door. It slams and it's apparently been happening for awhile because delivery food drivers carefully closed the door after them. We had our sandwiches to stay--a fried mushroom sandwich and the nashville hot chicken sandwich. The Nashville could have used a bit more heat. The sandwiches were not good. The chicken cheese steak was too salty. The other sandwich we ordered was not what it was described as. A piece of chicken cutlet on bread and nothing else. Holy cow - I've never had such good sandwiches ever. I am not exaggerating. My bf said this place was good, but I didn't think it was this good!!! Ordered the Meatball Sandwich and the Finger Licker. I'm not a huge fan of meatballs but this was out of this world. The sauce it was tossed in was amazing. The garlic taste was exceptional. The Finger Licker had a nice honey touch to it. Oh boy what a lunch. I've been following Hoagitos on Instagram for several months. I've always wanted to stop in but never have. Today I checked and realized they're 10 min from where I was. I wandered in to a smaller restaurant with a handful of tables. The menu was written on the wall in chalk. There were sliders and some chicken sandwiches listed. I asked the guy at the register what I should have. He asked me a few questions about my tastes, if I liked spicy food etc. he recommended the forbidden chicken sandwich. This sandwich is a boneless chicken thigh, deep fried. Dipped in a sweet and spicy sauce and I think it had some cabbage slaw on it. I made it a combo w fries and a drink. I was told to sit and they would serve me. About 5 min later my little bit of heaven arrived. What amazing crunch and flavor this sandwich had, my nose was running from the spice but then the sweet was stopping it. The fries came in a huge portion with a some chipotle Mayo. This is one of the best chicken sandwich spots I've ever had. The forbidden chicken is to die for! The sweetness of the sauce complimented the chicken thigh so well. We also got the dude ranch sandwich -- it was basically a chicken cutlet BLT sandwich but made with love. I would definitely recommend the chicken sandwiches here so be sure to take advantage of that. As for the sides, i would skip it in the future and maybe try the hand cut fries. We had gotten the risotto balls and the mac and cheese. The risotto balls were underwhelming. It didn't give me a wow factor that made me feel better on splurging $7 on 3 balls. Not worth it, skip it. For the mac and cheese, it was delicious but nothing i would go out of my way with. If you are craving it then go for it but honestly the star of the show would be the delectable forbidden chicken. read more

The blackened chicken sandwich was the monthly or weekly special so I had to try that. They didn't have one of the ingredients but it was still good. Their sandwiches are smaller but are full of flavor. I would say order 2 if you want to leave full. The turkey sandwich also did the trick. The sopressata was a nice take on an italian sub. My favorite were the southern comfort and forbidden chicken. The fried chicken was tender and had a nice crust on the outside. I can't keep track what ingredients are on each sandwich but it worked.
