Hobby lobby is a love hate relationship for me. I bought slime and wanted to return it. It was two days since I had gotten it. I went into the store w the receipt and slime and they said they couldn't find it in their system on their iPad. A manager-looking woman came over and said she would go back to the aisle and look. When she came back she said I couldn't return it because it wasn't a product in the store. At this point my blood was a simmer. I say "here's the receipt, here's the slime. It clearly looks like your product. Whether or not you have it come up isn't my problem" The manager looking lady doesn't care and reiterates that if they can't find it, I cannot return it. I decide to go back myself. Imagine the surprise when I go back and find it! This wasn't the first time I had a hassle w returns. They have an old system and they don't take electronic payments. it's just kind of wonky how they do everything at that store. Hence the love-hate relationship! I love this store. They always have the cutest decor and staff has always been friendly. The only thing I think is ridiculous is they do not honor first responders or military personnel with a discount. This isn't the locations fault but the company's fault! It's a little odd that they sell a variety of patriotic and military career themed decor but then don't offer service (wo)men a discount. read more

2 weeks ago, I had a glass shelf fall on me in the lamp aisle from lifting one up to find the price. The bracket holding the glass shelf, wasn't in all the way. It landed on my foot and the glass shattered. My foot swelled up and turned black and blue. Their Risk Department contacted me and asked what happened. After my version of the story, she was quick to say, you will not be happy with what I have to say. A make-believe man on a ladder was in the same aisle and saw me pull on the lamps. I asked her why a manager two aisles over was first to come to me and why the make-believe man didn't come down from the ladder? I also wanted to know why a few aisles over they had aisle blockers while stocking, but the made-up man wouldn't have one around him? She only came back with they would cover $240 for out-of-pocket expenses. So much for a Christian store!! Liars!! read more

I can count on my hand how many times I've been to this store. Overall it was a good visit. I found some of things that I needed and the rest I'll go elsewhere. It seemed that there was enough staff around but it was a bit tough to find someone to help me after I walked around for a while. Eventually I found a few things that I could use for my crafts and they had quite a few 50% off deals that I took advantage of. Depending on what craft or project you have, this location can be helpful but it's not a one stop shop. I will say it was useful in helping me determine what supplies I need to order online. read more

Whenever I need something framed, I immediately come to this store. I've never had a bad experience and this last time did not disappoint. Hannah was extremely helpful not only in helping me pick out frames and matting, but also in helping me bring my beautifully framed items to my car. I offered to tip her, but she informed me that it was against policy....I don't like that policy! So, I thought telling everyone how amazing she is would suffice. Thank you Hannah! read more

Came here to find some simple paint supplies, tape, brushes, etc and the store, although having lots of little trinkets seemed randomly organized. There were multiple aisles with the brushes I was looking for with somewhat random pricing. It's the closest arts/crafts store near me, so I could see myself coming back, but I'm not sold on the store and the way their products are organized. read more

Not a Hobby Lobby fan. I just find the stores confusing. I know, probably me. But I wish they had signs up. How hard is that? Coming here I felt like I wasn't totally welcome actually. From the minute we walked in, looking for some folding paper, we were confronted with religious items. Weird. Pricing is ok but not as competitive as I have found Michaels to be. Hobby Schlobby I can't say enough about Hobby Lobby! The one in Niagarara Falls is next to Walmart, so its all the cheaps stuffs you want in one giant paved former woodsey lot. if your looking for the worlds largest selection of crappy picture frames and plastic flowers, than you have the right place! I went in mistakenly thinking I would find lots of hobby stuff, but its more like stuff you'd find at a Christmas Tree Shop or Big Lots or Family Dollar. Isles and isles of things Gramma gives you for Christmas that are boxed kits of felt and glue, no talent needed. I wish this was just the lobby to an actual hobby store. PROS: It's big. I came in here a few months ago and I was completely overwhelmed with the amount of cool ideas that they had in here. Not only did they have lot's of stuff related to Arts n' Crafts, they had many cute trinkets to around the house. I must say that I am a HUGE fan of crafts, especially with acrylic paints. As an artist, I can always count on Hobby Lobby to have the supplies I need. They have a pretty decent selection of different medias and I can spend hours in the store looking at all the different choices that are available. Not only that, I can go for other things too. I love scrapbooking, making soap, making jewelry and just shopping about to make my house look nice and I can get things in all of these areas with a great selection. It's quiet and peaceful with instrumental Christian music playing in the background which isn't noticeable to non Christians. To those complaining about it being closed on Sundays and not knowing, it's not hard to check open hours online ;) read more

I'm a Catholic and a quilter, and there's no better place to go for supplies than Hobby Lobby! First of all, it's run by fellow Christians, so there's tons of holy-roller fabrics for my projects and I can go there when it comes to Christmas shopping because they've got a nice selection of decorative crosses to choose from among other things. I feel at home there. I also like it that they're closed on the Lord's day of rest. I was raised to believe that you're supposed to keep holy the Sabbath, and for us Christians that's Sunday, when they're closed. I really respect them for that. They fight to uphold other moral principals like standing up for the culture of life, and that's big with me too. This country was founded on the Judaic/Christian traditions, and I think it's one of the most genuinely American stores this fine country of our has to offer! If you deny Christ, He will deny you! They take a stand and LIVE the faith, and I admire them for that. read more

TERRIBLE customer service at the Niagara Falls location. We spent over an hour looking for mangnetic printer paper (which the website says is in stock at that location) asked one of the employees who was standing around near the art canvas where this would be located, she stated she "thinks" its in isle one or two, so we go look, not there, we tell her its not there, she says "then maybe" its in the isle with all the drawing paper, off we go to look, not there, back to the same girl, (who hasnt budged one inch yet) she then says she "has no idea" and walks away (hey at least she finally moved. We start to leave the store pretty unhappy, another employee walks by and she asks if we need help, we explain what the other girl did, she walks back with us and looks (really, no computer system to tell you if you have an item in stock and where it is in a store that large???) She is unable to find it and calls the manager. My husband, who works in retail, said to the manager that we were unhappy with the first employee who wouldnt budge from her spot to look, he said in his store employees were fired for that sort of thing, the manager replied "well we have a limited number of employees (really, making excuses to a customer, and a bad one at that!) Then he tells us that he in no way shape or form will be able to find that item, he states "we have over 6000 items, I cant know where every one of them is" Congratulations to Hobby Lobby Niagara location, before I stepped foot in this store I always maintained that home depot had the worst customer service going, that distinction now belongs to your manager and so called employees. read more
