Purchased 130.00 of decor and party supplies I love the home decor sections but cannot recommend party supplies I purchased tissue Pom poms one set of purple ones and three of the fiesta colored Pom poms the purple solid colored ones were great tissue paper was sturdy the Pom Pom was fluffy and full but the ones I really needed for fiesta decor were horrible and would have actually taken back if it wasn't the day of party they were skimpy ripped due to tissue paper quality not sturdy and one actually came apart at the seam they were ugly just had to scotch tape and make due the mustaches I purchased for kids the backing was difficult to remove and they ripped. Kids were disappointed the mustache pinata they hit only once and fell apart again kids upset. the roll of tablecloth was so thin and transparent it was also sticky due to heat it looked like green Saran Wrap on a table horrible I stopped and didn't even open the lanterns or the mustache streamers so I could recoup some of my money. Taking them back tomorrow with my receipt unopened . so I cannot recommend their party supplies the quality is just not there oops except for one a little sombrero hat that was 5.99 each and they only had a few but my granddaughter wanted one to wear with pink mustache that's about the only item that worked out one party hat. read more

I went here to get a custom frame made for my dad's Christmas present. I had never had anything custom framed before. I worked with Randy and he explained everything to me. The choices and why which ones were better. When I went back to pick it up the photos were out of order. Randy fixed them on the spot. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my frame. Went to pick up my custom framing order and was helped by Candice T. on both drop off and pickup. I noticed today during pick-up on my receipt it stated under a section labeled Art Condition stated: Was in plastic tube, finger prints, rolled. The art had no fingerprints and Candice was the first person to take it out of its shipping container. I asked her why it said my art had finger prints listed on the receipt. Candice stated she is required to put that phrase on the receipt because that's what the store likes her to do. But if there is not finger prints why would you state it has finger prints? I told her she was the first person to handle the artwork. She said I know, but thats what they want me to put there. Customer beware Hobby Lobby's policy to direct employees to make false statements on customers receipts is unethical. I'm sure its to cover their butt just encase someone does touch the artwork they can claim it already had fingerprints on the artwork. They paged THREE times, still no one came until the guy walked by and I asked and he came. He didn't nor anyone listened to the page throughout the store. Ridiculous service. OMG I am so disgusted with this place. I ordered some family photos in a 12x12 looked online where I can go buy a frame and it pointed me in the direction of Hobby Lobby. When I arrived i went straight to the picture fame department and could find nothing close to what I was looking for so after walking around to look for someone to help me I went up to the register and asked the young lady if she could call someone to help me and she said yes. I walked back to the department and waited 7 more minutes before I went up to the front again to ask for help again. A lady who I assume was a manger told me to go down this aisle and make a right I asked her if she would please show me. She looked at me like I was crazy and said I can't leave when I have this badge and she pointed to something around her neck. I then asked her to get someone that could help me if she couldn't. she called an older man that did the same thing go down there and make a right I asked him if he could show me he grunted as if I just told him I wanted him to carry me. Lol we get the section and he just points and says in there I looked at him and said "and you guys winder why you have shitty reviews on yelp" just the mention of the review and he jumped up and showed me right where they were. What should have taken less than 10 minutes took almost 30 just for waiting for someone to help me. I then get the register and the lady tells me its 50% off both frames well then the lady that couldn't leave because of her badge comes up to tell the cashier only one of my frames were on sale. I just can't with this store. I'm over it I would rather go to Walmart then Hobby Lobby and that says something. read more

This place is awesome! I love how they have different themes displayed all along the store. Somehow I feel like they always have a Christmas area though Christmas is months away! But, not gonna hate Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. They always have a sale going on and have an app that will add on to the already great store savings. This store is located in the old Stockton Mervyns store. It is bright, clean and has a huge selection of crafting supplies, home decorations and holiday gee gaws. My husband is a portrait artist was disappointed by the small selection of frames. However, This is his go to location for model rockets. I don't think I have ever paid full price for anything as they have weekly sales as well as a 40% off coupon. The staff are friendly, it can get a little hectic around the holidays but all in all a great addition to the Stockton crafting scene. Note that the store is closed on Sundays - a nice family touch. read more

Hobby Lobby has great stuff, but this review is more for their customer service. At Christmas time, I had purchased a lot of floral items as I made wreaths for gifts. I had a ton of supplies leftover, untouched and actually never removed from the bags that were given to me at the time of purchase. I literally had not looked over these items from the time I purchased them. The cashier was hesitant to return two items, which honestly was fine. What was not fine was the treatment I got from the managers. One was a younger Latina who's name I did not catch and the other was a manager named Michael. They belittled me right away and treated me as if they were somehow in some great position of power. They even checked surveillance footage of me to validate the two items in question. I ended up telling them if they were not going to return my money, that they could go ahead and trash the items. (I want no business with this store meaning they can keep the money and the merchandise at this point) the manager literally threw the items in the trash right in front of me. If that doesn't give you a clue how they feel about their customers, what does? Also, at the time of purchase my cashier could not be bothered to stop her personal conversation to ring me up and I experienced the same today as I waited for a manager to assist me and she was busy speaking with two of her friends. I used to come here all the time to buy my decorative stuff and art supplies. Came back to return decorative leaves I had purchased and they accused me of cutting the vines and leaves off . So they were not able to accept my return. I bought them the way I returned them, I didn't even have use for them ! That's why I returned it and yet instead of looking into it they assumed I had cut the vines when I bought them like that! Next time you come to this place make sure to point out all the flaws or anything that could be wrong with your merchandise . I shop at this store a couple times a week and usually have no issues. But today I had a weird experience. My cashier Julissa apparently did not want to be at work today or was just trying to be rude. When I walked up to her register, I smiled and she just stared at me. I was a bit taken back. She wrung up my couple of items and glared at me, asking if I found everything I was looking for and almost rolled her eyes. I said yes and asked her a simple question about if they ever do special orders. She sighed, rolled her eyes, and said "The sewing department do rainchecks occasionally." I could see she didn't care, so I didn't push the matter. She gave me my total and never put in any of the discount codes for the items already on sale. I politely waited a moment to see if she would notice, but I didn't, so I politely pointed out that two of the items were on sale. She scoffed and looked up the codes, arguing over one of them that was even shown in the ad. I didn't even show my 40% off coupon. It wasn't worth it at that time. I just wanted to leave. read more

I use to come in during breaks from the office but soon realized that I don't want to leave once I'm inside.. So don't go there during breaks from work or you will lose track of time! When you walk in the workers don't greet you they act like they don't see you. If you're walking around the store looking the workers never ask you if you're finding everything ok or if you need help finding anything and you know what is worse than that, the managers/supervisors do the same thing! I've worked in customer service for years and this store gets an F rating for customer service. You have beautiful décor, art supplies, etc. BUT the product doesn't carry the whole store. There has to be some type of interaction between shoppers and the employees working here. The overall customer service experience is what makes the shopping experience worth while. read more

I went to hobby lobby in Stockton CA as a first time customer and spent $400 on the new cricut maker (never owned any cricut product before). We asked up front if this item could be returned, and they said yes with a receipt. here is hobby lobby's return policy... Hobby Lobby welcomes returns accompanied by an original sales receipt and customer ID within 90 days of purchase. Store credit, a merchandise exchange or a refund in the original form of payment will be issued. Check purchases require a waiting period of 10 calendar days for a refund. Hobby Lobby may refuse any return without a receipt (we were standing there with receipt in hand). We tried to return this machine broken right out of the box and were told by store managers at the Stockton and Lodi CA locations that their policy did not apply to cricut product (while that is not in their written policy nor is it posted anywhere or even mentioned to you during the purchase), while they said the opposite during the purchase. One of the managers got cricut on the phone with us and they refused any kind of refund as well. So we have a $400 product broken right out of the box and neither the manufacturer or the store that sold it will do anything at all to help... If you are thinking of doing business with cricut or hobby lobby, I strongly suggest you re-consider. We were treated with absolute disregard. This is not over, it takes me a while to earn $400. read more

Overall it's a good store to find items for your home or for the holidays. I love the Christmas gift wrapping supplies the most. However, I notice they price items way above retail and mark it as "50%" off which ultimately brings the price down to the average retail amount for the item. They also are very bad with their signage. Often times sale signs are placed in an aisle without specifying. For example there was a 50% off sign on the floral arrangement aisle yet you only get 50% off if the arrangement is already in a pot. Which the sign does not specify. Cashiers are often very rude and seem inconvenienced by their jobs. The lines are pretty long as well. Usually only one cashier open. read more

Not sure what Honoring the Lord means but as a Christian I try my best to treat others how i'd like to be treated as far as today was concerned I did not receive an inch of exceptional customer service. The ladies in the department I shopped in acted like they were too busy to help me but yet quickly and immediately sparked a conversation among themselves as soon as I disappeared (which was in the next aisle). Not only that, I was reprimanded for opening a small package (which I was about to repackage after looking at it) then I thought, " Well maybe if you were doing your job with customer service and helping customers then I wouldn't have had to open this package as a display to see if its fit for my project." Then I overheard her and her coworker speaking badly about someone who disorganized their dept. Stalking me while I shopped made me feel uncomfortable and UNWANTED. Absolutely zero Customer Service, I really hope they do no label themselves as Christians or any affiliations of the sort because the way i was treated this morning was ridiculous. Aloof, Stoic, and Unfriendly. Falls back on Management, Speaking of Which the Manager wasn't friendly either as she hovered over the cashier as i was rung up. Lets get it together Hobby Lobby. I am a regular customer to the hobby lobby. I go almost every week. Today, that changed because of the rude and unfair treatment I received. After leaving the store, a worker literally chased me down like a criminal for the beanie babies I bought my child with autism and demanded to see our receipt (which I showed them). Other people watched in amusement (including other workers at the front). They completely humiliated me, wasted my time and didn't even apologize for making the mistake. i like to go here for any crafty idea i have up my sleeve. they have everything from fabrics to picture frames to acrylic paint. the only reason they have two stars is because their customer service is horrible. even though there may be a bunch of employees working, they definitely make it known that they're there to fix the store versus help you find what you need. so as long as you don't mind taking a couple hours to roam around and explore the store while finding what you need (without any assistance whatsoever) then this is the place for you. i will still shop here. i just won't expect much of the employees. read more

Terrible customer service..I have two teenage kids and we shop for hobby/ project items for school projects all the time, I work in customer service as does my wife...I'm appalled at the customer service tonight at the hands of the manager Cynthia.there was an item a poly resin boat on a shelf with wood and metal boats...there was a sign posted that said 50 percent off all metal and wood boats...long story short...after waiting for the manager at the register for ten minutes Cynthia walked up never addressed me..simply said..no that's not on sale then complemented the cashier for catching that the item was not on sale...it was a 12.99 item..in the end I could care less about a few dollars..but the customer service absolutely crap... read more

Finally checked out this place after a friend told me about it located in the old Mervyns Department store. This place is hugh with every arts and crafts, home decor items, party goods you can think of. I would describe it as a Home Goods store on steriods. They have the largest number of seasonal items for fall, Halloween and Christmas I've ever seen. Their fall and Halloween items are currently on sale at 40% off. You would have no trouble finding ideas here for some fun projects you're working on. However I thought some items were a little expensive. The 5-6 inch wide candles were $30. A small bunch of artificial flowers were $16. The only thing I bought were a couple of small items that are used for holding up decorative plates that was 50% off. I really love this store and you can go hog wild in a place like this. But they're going to have to have some really good sales in order for me to frequent the store more often. read more

I'm a regular customer there, but yesterday I felt like an uncomfortable shopping customer, the employer keep eyeing me cos I had a stroller with me, and some items under the stroller ready to be purchase, which u can see the item clearly...not hidden. But the employee keep standing there and watching me, not even asking me for help. So I went to ask for help instead but he didn't know what I was looking for. Just because someone has a stroller ESP with their two kids, doesn't mean they are stealing. I give u a bad review today because of that, and the manager that work there never greet me, even if I go there all the time, so rude. Very disappointing yesterday. read more
