I went to this Hobby Lobby because I am hosting a friendsgiving this weekend and wanted budget fall decorations for my apartment. When I first walked in, I noticed a bunch of Christmas decorations but then walked a bit further and the fall decorations were there. They were all 50-75% off which was amazing! I didn't want to spend much because it's almost time to decorate for Christmas, but I really wanted to make my apartment vibey for friendsgiving. I bought fake florals, a bag of pinecones, small pumpkins, and other fall nature items, a table cloth, decorative paper plates and napkins, and more small pumpkins. I bought all of that for about $30 which is crazy to me!!! I am so happy with my purchase and the price I got all of my items for. I can't say much about service, but the lady at the cash register was nice. I love this place! read more

Beware! Hobby Lobby will not replace or refund defective products. I am 67 years old and have been a sewist for more than 50 years. I purchased Pellon SF101 at HL, a product I have used hundreds of times. I fused it as I always do, following manufacturer instructions, to preshrunk expensive Michael Miller fabric. The SF101 bubbled and buckled, ruining the fabric that I tried to bond it to. When I brought the ruined fabric and a 2nd test piece to HL to return the defective SF101, I was denied a refund because I "could not prove" that the SF101 was the problem. I opened a dispute with my credit card company and won a refund. I am unhappy that I had to dispute the charge via my credit card company to get a refund. I will not shop again at HL. read more

I went to this Hobby Lobby to have wire hangers added to some pieces I framed recently. The framing department was busy which meant I had to wait a little longer than I hoped, but the person working there communicated well and did an excellent job. I browsed while waiting and I was very impressed with the selection and prices and how well organized the store was. This is a good one. read more

Love the store there are so many beautiful decorations for every season. Went there on 1/18 got a few items to craft and grab some items for home decor that said they were 40% off got to the register and was told all of my items were not on sale only the Valentine's Day things were so I asked to take off a few things I normally wouldn't have bought but grab because they were supposed to be on sale. Once I got home and checked my receipt only to find that I was still charged for 2 of the items I asked to be removed. Called back to the store and was told by management that I would need to bag up all of my items come back in the store and they will watch the cameras and see if I was charged for extra items. Why is it a store in 2025 is still entering prices manually instead of using a scanner to verify the actual bar code and item so you are able to go back and check your inventory to see what is going out of your store.. I have a feeling this isn't the first time it has happened and this company is pocketing a lot of unknowing customers money.. sad!!! I'll take my business to Michael's might pay a little more but at least I know I will be paying the correct amount and receive all of my items I paid for!!! read more

I have been going to this location for many years now & can only say- it is a good thing I hate the human race as a whole & avoid coming into direct contact with any associates because I have never, ever had any associate ask if I've needed assistance- ever! The cashiers are usually friendly but the manager with the short blond hair is never nice and any returns you might have seem like the worlds biggest inconvenience to her routine. They are better than Patcatan's but not as up-to-date as a Michale's & I often feel they do not have enough new product to keep up with the most recent trends. But sadly, they are only 5 minutes away vs. 30 minutes & so I am stuck :/ The company as a whole is a disgrace! If any of you ever choose to do some random research on the owners of Hobby Lobby and their standards, you will discover that they are not supporters of female health & do not respect ones choice to prevent an unwanted child from being conceived. They also shove their religious views down your throat- which is not cool. I can respect someone for being religious but keep it to yourself, do not try to spoon feed it to your staff or customers by littering your shelves with crosses, bibles, and religious quotes. It's suspost to be a craft store, not vacation bible school! But overall, if you're in a bind ; you usually can find what you need at an over priced fee. read more

This is my favorite Hobby Lobby store!! It's an easy drive from my home. I love the seasonal merchandise as well as the craft items. I'm not happy the corporate office took away the weekly 40% off coupon. I'm also displeased with the carrier surcharge, which I was told by the home office in OK was assessed by the carriers. Yet it magically disappears if you order $80 of merchandise. Right. The carriers know when you hit that magic number. Again, corporate office decision. But the Stow store is my favorite for two reasons: Customer Service Manager Tom and a cashier named Brook. They are kind, helpful, and very personable. It's worth the trip to Stow to meet them!! read more

Recently moved to the Kent area and was very excited to visit hobby lobby as I craft all the time. When I first entered I asked for directions the first cashier was very helpful. Through out the store when I needed assistance, everyone was very dismissive and not helpful at all. I didn't think much as they are busier around this time. I then waited in line for about 8 or so minutes while Nicole B checked out another customer having a great and friendly conversation. Love to see cashiers interacting with customer. When it was my turn, Nicole didn't even acknowledge me, she didn't even look at me, instead she asked another cashier several questions while scanning my items. Disappointing! She then didnt say my total just hit the button for me to enter my card then handed me the receipt. I grabbed my bag and then the next customer walked up and Nicole then said Hi how are you doing, did you find everything you need. While I understand todays issues, customer service is customer service. I am very disappointe! I am the first to speak about treating ALL people the same, I truly felt like I wasn't assisted because of my skin complexion. As I was walking out another customer of darker complexion walked in and no one greeted her either. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT HOBBT LOBBY KENT/STOW again. Very unhappy with the services and I will return my items for a refund and find another store to purchase from here on out. When I called for a supervisor, it was a very dismissive and not really helpful conversation! Hobby lobby has lost a very frequent customer! Terrible first experience at this store! Large! I've only been here once as I don't live in the area, but it was stocked and filled to the brim. If you're a crafty person, this is the place to go. Clean and neat shopping areas and carts to wrangle the kids, although I wouldn't bring mine here. If you can find a person to help you, they are knowledgeable. Large parking area. read more

Kind of overrated in our opinion. The prices leave a lot to be desired; it's no discount store, and hobbies clearly can get expensive, but several times we've clipped coupons out of the paper only to have the lady at the register tell us the coupon was out of date, which it wasn't, or did not apply to the item we were buying, which it didn't say there were any exclusions for that either. We felt ripped off by what appears to be this bait and switch tactic. With several large craft chains in the area (Michaels and Pat Catans), we thought Hobby Lobby would be more accommodating and competitive. read more

OH MY GOODNESS. What a backwards company this is. Returned an item which I purchased 4 weeks ago. Had my receipts with me but they could not match up the receipt with the purchase price. They don't use part numbers on their receipts so it is a big long production in order to get the appropriate credit. Their computer system apparently is antiquated and employees including the manager were untrained on how figure out this credit. Gave me excuses like it was elimitated from their stock lists?? I recently had some framing done and I was very pleased with their knowledge and patience as I made my choices. I was also very pleased when I picked up my framing with the sales associate explaining what they had done. I have had decent customer service in the Stow store but only if I seeked out an associate. It is typical of most stores in that if the employee doesn't make eye contact, they won't have to be interrupted. read more

When the store opened up the customer service was a five-star as well as having multiple registers open for speedy service. Now when you walk in I find that asking any employee for help is like asking them if you can remove their skin with a pair tweezers. They either get low low wages and don't care how they treat their customers or the manners are totally out the door. I find that some of their merchandise is not stocked on the shelves or has been previously opened or they just don't have a very good well-rounded variety in some of their departments. Last month I needed to buy ink for a fountain pen and arrived at the store 20 minutes before closing. However myself and three other customers were stopped at the front door and told that the stores closing come back the next day, keep in mind that the store was still open for 20 minutes. And I knew exactly what I needed to get and where it was located in the store, but that didn't seem to matter. So in my opinion I gather that the Hobby lobby in Stow must make hand over fist when it comes to money that they can actually afford to chase away customers 20 minutes before the store officially closes. Today, I decided to give them another chance - basically because it was convenience that I decided to give Stow location another chance before taking my business someplace else. Late this afternoon, my husband and I went to purchase a large white board and proceeded to walk to one of the registers that still had an employee standing no customers behind the register. The phone rang and an employee picked it up answered it and proceeded to speak with somebody on the other on the other end. We walked towards her register and were 5 feet from it only to have her reach under the counter grab the sign and slap it up there in front of us that said sorry register closed. Didn't acknowledge us, did not make any eye contact or excusing herself for a couple of seconds from speaking to the person on the phone and address us, properly. If this doesn't seem like the proper way to handle the situation then how about putting the sign up that say, 'sorry this register closed', and ring are purchase up since we were only standing 5 feet, if that, from her register. I want the Stow store to know that we actually go out of our way to the Macedonia store for better customer service. The only person that rung us out was the poor girl that was by herself at the customer service desk with five paying customers waiting to be checked out. And how many registers do you have.....? I actually would rather pay a couple of dollars more at a craft/art store a few miles to the north that recognizes me as a customer and offers to help or even check to see if I'm finding everything okay or can I help you find something or just to give advice on a project that I'm working on. I apologize for this review being so long but I am sick and tired of paying for bad customer service, rude disposition in employees attitudes and the lack thankfulness towards their customers that shop at their store with their hard earned money. If the store says that it closes at 8 o'clock then it closes at 8 o'clock, not quarter till eight, not 20 till eight. If the store says that it closes at 9 o'clock then the doors stay open at 9 o'clock. In other words the store stays open until the clock says that it closes at the time that the sign says that it closes. read more
