This is a great place if you like to have a rotisserie chicken for dinner. The chicken is tender, juicy and marinated just right. For about $20 you get a choice of 2 sides. On a recent visit we opted for the grilled cauliflower and cubed sweet potatoes. Both were outstanding. If you're pressed for time and want a quick, delicious dinner stop in here on your way home. I highly recommend this place for catering. They did an amazing job for my dads Shiva. The gentleman in the kitchen and the one that came around to pick up plates and cups and refill food were lovely. Everything tasted delicious. Great and tasty food. Staff needs a bit of an attitude adjustment. Went in for their packaged dinners. They didn't have the starch portion. I asked what they substitute with. They said nothing. But also didn't take anything off the price. I asked if they could at least provide some bread. She took a loaf from the front, brought it to the back while talking to someone in another language and then they were laughing, clearly about something with the bread. When she brought it back to the register, it was cut into pieces in a bag and she and the other guy were smirking at each other. Needless to say the bread went into the trash when I got home. I don't trust what they may have done to it. This is not a first time incident, staff always has a little bit of an attitude, otherwise I would definitely go there more often. read more

Prime catered my daughter's baby shower yesterday. The food was more than amazing. They have an incredible menu to choose from and I was guided by their expert and Chef Marc as to the best choices for my event and number of guests. The waitstaff, chef and bartender were all fantastic. They were friendly, efficient and helped make the day perfect. They anticipated my every need. All 35 guests let me know that the party was wonderful and elegant, the food was fantastic, the staff was the best and all took contact information so they could use Prime for events in the future. Went into Prime Catering Shop next to Barnes Frame store in Garden City South on Nassau Blvd. Before I tell of the food and goods there, I must bring up something to those readers of this review. PLEASE NOTE: To open the door at the front !!! there is a step up and the door opens out. If you are not very careful, the door can hit you upon entering. Apparently, it has happened before, according to the women who came out after a time of my few minutes of pain, to ask if I wanted ice for my bruised knee. Now; that said, They have a small area of grocery type items on the side that I took a glance at and in the back raw cut meats for purchase. They also have a board listing of packages of made meals with 3 different prices depending on the order. They come with 2 sides - at least that is what I thought I heard the young masked man behind the counter say. I opted, not, to order a meal but rather to choose some side dishes for the chicken cutlet that I had and cooked at home. A beef barley soup, I am not sure if the soup was home made or not though it tasted ok especially on a cold rainy day. I also got grilled sweet potatoes, some cooked chicken meatballs that were quite tasty and one item not yet eaten , which I think is a quiche, though the outside container says fancy pasta salads. However, I was shocked to see that while they require customers to wear masks (which is great), the majority of the staff was not wearing masks or was wearing them incorrectly (ie. On their chin, not covering nose, etc.). It made me feel incredibly unsafe. When I called to discuss the issue, the man on the phone was dismissive. My family were scheduled to get together to celebrate two of my daughters' and husband's birthdays. My daughters and their partners are from out of state. I was debating whether we should have their celebratory dinner in a restaurant or stay at home, be more comfortable; take our time and catch up. I opted to get catered food and thought of Prime Fine Catering. I ordered half trays of wonderful Italian food-- OMG, there was plenty for everyone(there were eight of us (half trays serve 8-12); second servings and still plenty to take home with them. The food was hot and ready to serve when I picked them up. We had a great time celebrating their birthdays in the comfort of our home. Great food; great company; opened gifts; ate cake ; sang Happy Birthday and ate more great food !!! I highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking of serving great delicious food. The food they prepared for my daughter's "Amalfi coast" themed bridal shower was top notch, creative, fresh tasting, and beautifully presented and served. I had many guests comment on the quality of the food. The staff was extremely professional and friendly and took great pains to make the day successful. Breakfast / Lunch on a whole other level. We have been using Prime for a few months now for our lunch time selections and the whole office is loving them. I had seen them for some time but they are a tad far from the office so I never gave them a second thought until I learned a few months ago that they delivered. We checked and they were willing to deliver to our office. After trying them the first time we were hooked. They will fax you a daily menu of specials and such and we have never had a bad anything from there - ever. They have a chicken burger that is killer- but as I just stated, everything we have gotten so far is just top notch. At this point, I have coworkers who are ordering dinner to be delivered with their lunch so that they don't have to cook when they get home! I've never set foot in the place but I've seen their website and it looks nice- someone else can review the actual brick and mortar location. I can settle for Prime if all I want is a salty, soggy egg white wrap or overpriced grilled veggies. They're food is average at high prices due to their catering services. Service is inexplicably slow. So if you are ordering call at least 20-30 minutes ahead. My advice: keep walking up Nassau blvd to Adelphi Deli where you can get something fresher and a little more affordable. read more

I used Prime for catering a few times for offices in the area. Their food is actually quite delicious, really. It's healthy. However, they are overpriced, and for the money paid on catering orders, you would think they'd at least give free paper plates and utensils, right? Wrong. I find it ridiculous that they charge a few dollars extra per person for paper plates and utensils. Even beat down pizzerias give free plates with delivery orders. They don't sell liters of anything to drink so that's an extra couple dollars they sneak in per person for individual drinks. At the end of the catering order, I realize I can get double the food with free utensils and plates for the price of what prime charges, elsewhere. It's tasteless of them to lack courtesy for customers who would use them more for catering deliveries if they managed their customer relations a little better. It's really unfortunate because I, along with others I know in my field, would use Prime for orders if they were more reasonable. read more

The goto place for family meals. The chicken and roast beef are equally yummy and the Brussel sprouts are a must. Dine in is also very popular at lunch time with a great selection of hot meals and some monster size salads. You'll notice that there are a fleet of catering vans down the side of the shop and based on the quality of food it's no surprise that they need the numerous trucks. Well done Team Prime! I highly recommend the prepared foods at Prime. My husband and I have already ordered three of their meals this week. The chicken cutlets (with delicious honey mustard), mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes are my favorite. I have been calling in my order and picking up curbside - the experience is beyond easy and a total pleasure. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and helpful. So far everything we have ordered has been absolutely delicious and so easy to heat up. Definitely give them a try!! read more

Prime is so much more than a deli. Ask for a meal - you get 2 sides and a protein for $10-15 (ranges based on what protein you ask for). They give you so much food that i always have leftovers for a snack later on. You can also order by the pound on each. They have plenty of paleo options.... Vegetables, protein, paleo mayo, and "paleo desserts." My favorites are the sweet potato, grilled veggies, mashed califlower, chicken meatballs, chicken salad, and the ribs. They have everything in a glass case so you can see exactly what you are ordering. There is seating if you do not want to take it to go as well. read more

The food here is very good. I have purchased their meats, I have eaten their prepared foods, and I have attended events they catered, and I was extremely pleased with their work. If the owner could snap some sense into the counter staff, or at least teach them to smile, I would gladly add additional stars (note that the staff at the catered events were great, it's the folks behind the counter that need help). OMG! Where do I begin with Prime Fine Catering? First off.....it is one of the best off site caterers I have EVER had the pleasure of dealing with. I was referred to this place by one of my neighbors in the Hamptons. I was planning a welcome home/psuedo wedding party for my brother and his family. I met with Henry and he became my event planner. From tent, to tables, to chairs, to flatware, to china, to glasses, to servers, to cooks, to bartenders, and THE FOOD. The event went off without a hitch. The servers were good looking, personable and helpful. The cook was unreal. They just used my kitchen to make the spectacular feast! They set up all the tables, arranged the place settings, passed the hor d'overes (sp?), cooked the food, grilled the food, set the food out, made the drinks (I supplied the alcohol). When the party was through they wrapped all the left overs up, put everything away, prepared all the rentals to be picked up by the rental company. They left my house cleaner than when they arrived. Everyone raved about the food and to this day (the event was during the late summer of 2010) when I mention Prime Caterers, everyone just says oooohhhhh. read more

Compliments to Prime! I ordered a 3 ft Italian style Hero, a delicious salad, and cole Slaw for a party at home and everything was delicious. The meats on the hero were so tasty and the bread (I believe from Monreale Bakery in Hicksville) was so fresh. Best cole slaw I've had in a really long time. Where do I start. Everyone who works there is amazing. Once you start going they are good with names and will remember you pretty well. I work a few blocks away and get lunch here almost every day. They can make anything taste delicious and all the food is always fresh. Also a great place if you want to stay healthy as they offer various diet foods especially paleo. My favorite sandwich is either the one with chicken cutlet, Monterey Jack cheese, bacon and spicy mayo (add Cole slaw) or chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and balsamic. Always get the 7 grain bread it's the best and all his bread is delivered from tomcat bakery every morning so it's always fresh. The chicken burger is healthy juicy, and bursting with flavor that makes you forget your eating healthy.
