Everyone was masked and physically distancing. We placed our order and waited about ten minutes. Other patrons arrived and they were doing a very good business. The entire area was permeated with the aromas of fresh food being prepared. I got the bar-b-que beef brisket sandwich others got nachos and fries. The sandwich was very good with a lot of tender, tasty beef. Served on a hamburger roll. A bit sloppy but I ate it all. The nachos were good some of us did not like the brisket in there. The fries could have been crispier. The proprietor informed us he was running out of various supplies so needed to be creative with substitutions. We all enjoyed our meals. Total $46 for four nice lunches. A good value. I would try something different if I ran into the truck again. They had a complete menu with crab, beef, pork and a vegetarian offering. Very good. No hint of a water bath or any of the cockamamie things some cooks can do to pork meat. Not super smokey but it doesn't need to be, and it doesn't need sauce either which means it's good meat to eat alone. Brisket had all the desired flavor but loads of fat. I don't like paying for gristle and fat when I pay by the pound. Otherwise, they are one of the few places up here who can get flavor right. Big Bad Wolf in Aston used to make great burnt ends with delicious flavor but quality waned last time I tried it. All in all Sterling Pig is pretty good and if you're not used to weeks of GA BBQ every year like we are, you're definitely in for a treat among local options.
