Just picked up my VW id.4 from Hogan & Van (it's an EV, BTW). I had a minor fender bender which resulted in a lot more damage than was visible from the scratched bumper and slight bend in the hood. The car is back, in perfect condition, looking better than ever. More importantly, their team was amazingly professional. When I first went to drop it off for our scheduled appointment, they warned that obtaining parts would take a while, and that I was in for a long wait. Dan came out to my car, did a thorough inspection of the damage, and made a list of parts he knew were going to be needed. He then sent me away and told me to bring the car back when the parts came in. When it was finally time to have the repair done, they kept me up to date on the progress, especially about their communications with my insurance company. Because of the extent of the damage, the adjuster had to make at least two supplements to the original estimate. In the end, the car was completed, but the insurance company wouldn't pay H&V the higher labor rate associated with electric vehicles. Dan and the team went for bat for me with the insurance company (along with my repeated, un-returned calls). The insurance company wouldn't budge, so H&V put it down as "lesson learned" and didn't charge me for the additional labor. I hope I never need to use their services again, but I won't hesitate to go back if I do, and will tell anyone who asks about this. Clearly a family run business with a lot of integrity. We can always take care of your repairs and we can review our repair plan with whoever your insurance carrier is." This is not true and they flat out said they would not work with my insurance provider under any circumstances and that if I went into the shop with my insurance there's nothing they could do for me. read more

A wiseman once said "Sh*t Happens." And sometimes that sh*t involves some broad sideswiping your vehicle giving it an unsightly appearance. Thankfully there are places like Hogan and Van willing to make your car look like nothing ever happened (for a fee of course). There were so many upsides to dealing with these guys and zero downsides besides the fact I didnt have a car during this time. 1. They worked directly with my insurance so I didn't have to do a damn thing related to payments. 2. They still took my car in for repair even after my dumbass forgot to make an appointment 3. They gave me a ride to the T after I dropped the car off 4. They kept me well informed about my car's status 5. The car was returned looking good as new (well at least the part that was damaged) 6. They were extremely professional. Excellent client service. I can't speak to the price because my insurance did it all. I wasn't really shopping around so I have no idea how they compare in that category. But they do great work. If you end up in one of those crappy situations, don't fret, Hogan and Van has got yo' back. read more

I can't believe it took me this long to write H&V a review! My car got hit last year, and I was overwhelmed by the situation. I'm pretty sure I was told about this place by my insurance company, but I also had seen it a ton of times as I pulled into Atlas LQ next door. I called, spoke to one of the guys in the office. Dropped my car off, and was kept up to date with calls from the same guy- Adam? - I'd spoken to originally. They kept a realistic time line for me for the repairs, I got myself a rental for the duration ( a week ) and when it was all ready, I went to pick it up and was greeted by friendly people, and got through the paperwork quickly. One thing they forgot was my fog lightbulb in my passenger side light kit. Oopsie! I went back as soon as I noticed - which was about a week later. They replaced the light and wiped down my car so it looked shiny and new again! I would highly recommend these guys for auto repair, especially after an accident. They are friendly, helpful, and do a really nice job. If, godforbid, I have to get my poor car fixed again, I'll go back to Hogan & Van. For sure. read more

They let me know quickly that there was more damage that wasn't visible orginally and reached out to my insurance for additional coverage. They kept me updated on the progress and answered all of my questions. When my insurance was being difficult, they helped me work with them and followed up with the appraisers. Took my Honda CRV for repair at Hogan & Van after a rare ended accident. After the repairs i realized what a horrible job the team had done for the repairs. The car was returned with damage and i had to take it back for repairs. The team did not take the responsibility for the damage and asked me pay additional charges as to fix the damage. The body shop did not provide bills in the proper format and came back asking for more money as my insurance company was not ready to accept the bills in their format. would not recommend anyone using Hogan and Van for Honda repairs. read more

I really have nothing to compare them to. This is the first time in my life having autobody work done. I was in 2 separate accidents a few months apart and ended up finding Hogan and Van as a certified Nissan collision Center. the Nissan dealership next door doesnt even do autobody. They were very highly rated and close by so I went to them. I had 2 accidents and extensive work needed, plus it was through 2 different insurance companies so equally a mess. They handled everything easily and smoothly. It was professional, polite and quick to drop my car off and pick it up. The work took some time but I expected that.(plus my appraiser was part of the problem, not Hogan) The work done is fantastic. My car looks brand new, Ive had zero issues. Will something happen or pop loose eventually? who knows, but I doubt it. Even if it did they told me to come right back if I find anything unsatisfactory. So far its very satisfactory. The work appears to be top notch!! If a drunk drivers ever hit me again id definitely go back here. Added bonus, a rental car location is literally 5 buildings down. I highly recommend Hogan and Van to anyone looking for top quality autobody work. Price wise if youre paying out of pocket? I would not know, Mine was all covered by insurance. But, would you rather get a shoddy job done on the cheap or quality work? Thats up to you. Again no idea if they are on the high or low end. Might be a steal. I do not know. These guys are pros. I had a tar on paint issue years ago that involved wet tar covering the entire body of a sedan that they got off without an issue. Easily surpassed all expectations I had for salvaging the paint on that sedan. 5 weeks ago, I got rear ended by some idiot on the Zakim, and Hogan and Van did a miraculous job fixing the rear end and subframe of my Pathfinder. Awful. I repeat AWFUL! Admittedly, I do not know how their actual work is but I do know that these people demonstrate a complete lack of respect towards prospective customers. I called asking about getting body work done on my husband's car and, after asking them for an idea of what we were looking at spending, I was rudely told they could give no idea until they saw the car. I told them that I understood that the price could change but wanted to know what to expect if it was a cut and dried procedure. They then proceeded to hang up on me. And, when I called back, they would answer and, upon hearing my voice, would again immediately hang up the phone. This happened repeatedly. I am completely shocked by this poor demonstration of business etiquette. I think if people who are supposedly "owners" and "managers" are capable of behaving this way towards prospective clients than it would be best to avoid them altogether. I am happy this happened because I have probably saved myself future problems with their service. I would be very cautious of this auto body shop as bad business practices tend to translate into all aspects of a company and the work it does. read more

I'm the kind of person that will fix every scratch and dent on my car. I have gone to Hogan & Van for three repairs: one scratch, one dent, and one insurance seminar (fender bender with some minor functional damage). I have been very pleased with the result of all three repairs and my car's "like new" status has been verified by my roommate, who can't point out the repaired areas. Hogan & Van's detailed quotes have always seemed very reasonable to me, although I am admittedly willing to pay fair wages for good work. Beyond the fair price for good work, their customer service is outstanding! They provided all the possible options for repair, they stuck to their original estimates (on both cost and time), they dealt directly with my insurance company, and they even waited for 45 min after closing time while I fought through traffic to pick up my car (and then greeted me with a smile!). Hogan & Van put the icing on the outstanding customer service cake with my second repair. After the repair, I noticed a minor imperfection (only visible at a certain angle... which required sitting on the ground next to the car... under a streetlight). They not only fixed the imperfection for free, but also upgraded my original repair from the cheaper option to the more expensive option in the process (at no additional cost). And, they did it with a prompt and sincere apology! I felt that they genuinely wanted to exceed my expectations; I didn't even have to ask for the touch-up!! I can't recommend Hogan & Van highly enough and will definitely be returning to them for all scratches and dents in my future. read more

i've read a couple of online reviews of hogan and van. most were fairly negative. i had a great experience with them. so i woke up one day to find my car vandalized and my airbag stolen. not cool at all. through the whole claiming process, my insurance company suggested hogan and van. i talked to andy on the phone who was a nice guy. he took down all my information and had my car towed there. i went in the next day to see my car and find out how long it would take. the guy that was there on saturday told me to expect about a week or so until my car is ready. in my head i decided to guestimate about 2 weeks. well i was pleasantly surprised when i called on wednesday for a status on my car. i talked to george who said that my car would be ready no later than friday. i was pretty psyched. i picked up my car (they also cleaned the outside as well as the inside). it looks as good as new. hopefully my car won't need any repairs in the future, but if they do, i trust hogan and van to fix them. read more

No nonsense and just got the job done. There is a minimum charge of $60, which is tough, but worked with me to bundle things in since the work I needed done was very minor. Adam, Dee and George were consummate professionals during the process. This is an amazing place. My side mirror was broken (drivers side) and the dealer told me that it would cost about $600.00 for parts and labor which is ridiculous considering only the glass in the mirror was broken. Then i went to another garage and they said they could get me one for $400 but the paint wouldn't match. Better, but I would prefer that my 2007 Civic match as long as possible, ha. Luckily my friend had the same issue and went to Hogan and Van and came away with about $100.00 instead of whatever the dealer told her so I checked it out. Today I came away with a bill for $61.85 and they put on the mirror in under a minute. They were nice, friendly and had my mirror at the shop in less than a day. Hogan and Van. I can't say enough good things about this company. I had a repair needed on my autobody, an accident no fault to me. From the minute I called then walked into their business, I felt important. From the quick action to the thorough explanation of the process. They did everything. Since my damaged door wasn't critical to get fixed right then and there, they temporarily fixed it so the water wouldn't seep into my car. Every issue or question, they always said, we will take care of it. And they did. I have been going to Hogan and Van, as far back as 80's with my parents' car, always they took care of everyone. I just wish other businesses had their quality care with their service. So even more in today's poor uncaring dealings with service companies, they standout and it wouldn't matter if I lived an hour away, I would still go to them. From insurance co dealings with, to rental car updates, they took care of it all. I just dropped it off, they contacted rental car co. If the repair took longer, which it usually does, they worked with insurance co with estimates and I just had to pick it up and they also replaced a front grill that was hanging close to the ground, no charge. Its hard to go thru an accident but these guys take the sting away with their comforting, caring service. read more
