[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun atmosphere! Hot, though. We came in the summer. There's just big fans that blow it all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nachos with chicken and crab cakes were so good! Service was great as well - very attentive! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots to look at on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely recommend if you're staying on Stock Island!

This place is amazing! They have the BEST lobster bisque in the world!!! Great friendly service. You can eat like a local. The hogfish fillet over a bed of French fries, is perfection! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's in a marina, with beautiful sunsets![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We like to walk along the boats after. Just beautiful! [[HIGHLIGHT]]You usually can see manatees and tarpons next to the tables, while dining outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Eclectic seafood restaurant on stock island which claims to be a local spot, although IMO is tourist prices. Everything we ate here was just ok, nothing I'd rush back for. Tried the coconut fish bites, which were a unique dish & a good serving as an app. Also got the lobster bisque (eh), and tuna nachos (decent, although the kitchen had run out of some of the toppings and discounted my dish). Just ordered beers cuz the restaurant was slammed and I didnt feel like waiting for a cocktail. Overall if you're nearby and like seafood check it out, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this restaurant.

Stopped by as was in the area. The place has a nice dive feel and it is quite comfortable. Seating is covered so either sun nor rain are going to get you. The staff is friendly and relaxed Got the grouper Ruben, blackened. It comes with shoestring fries and quite a nice portion. All the sandwiches a little messy it is absolutely delicious. A little bit pricey at $25 but hey this is a treat

We had a wonderful time at Hogfish. We actually stumbled across this bar by happenstance. We were on our way to a different restaurant and this one looked so much better that we decided to stop in. It was quite busy for a Monday afternoon so we knew it had to be good. The service was quick and very, very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was lots of seating to choose from some right on the dock next to the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And it was actually quite cool in the shaded / fan area that they have near the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I loved the bang bang shrimp. I got that as my entrée because it was lunch and I didn't want to eat something too heavy. My husband got the lobster tacos and my son got the fish platter. We all enjoyed our food thoroughly that there was not a crumb left over the fish platter was quite a bit of food 8/10, and the lobster tacos were quite filling as well. The bang bang shrimp isn't quite what I envisioned. I envisioned a little less breading when I ordered it, but nonetheless, they were still good and actually kind of unique compared to other shrimp dishes that I have tried. The sauce on them is quite good, there just wasn't enough sauce. Maybe just there needs to be a side of it on the plate for other people to dip into if it's going to stay an appetizer dish. But maybe that was their point to not hide the seafood with a bunch of sauce. 7/10 My husband wishes he would've gotten the hog fish dish instead as the lobster tasted like chewy cut up shrimp. 6/10 Sadly, we don't get lobster where we are from in Washington State so he was excited to have some lobster for a change. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, it was a really great atmosphere and nice to just look at the water if I could have I would've stayed longer just to have a tasty beverage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Best local hot spot on stock island and key west! From the wahoo appetizer to the best lobster bisque I've EVER had including huge buttery chunks of lobster!! Try the hogfish sandwich or the berria burger.. both are slammin!!

So amazing we went twice in one day!! What a freaking cool little place. Amazing "island" vibe, tons of outdoor and open air seating, and the food! The food! Just amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and service was super fast. Meals were served on simple trays, but who needs fancy when the food is so good? We had the hogfish & chips and the hogfish tacos for lunch...switched up fries for onion rings for dinner. The hogfish was so, so good! Fish was so flavorful and juicy...didn't even need any tartar sauce. While all the rest of the food looked good as well...if we go back I am pretty sure we will be sticking to the special, hogfish!!

This was a tough one to score. Went here twice. Had EXCELLENT service the first time, and pretty good service the 2nd time. But on the 2nd visit a young lady who worked there kept throwing out snide remarks to us. I'm not sure what we did to upset her, but she really didn't like us. The Great: The atmosphere & weekend live music The Good: The food is really good The Bad: Everyone has a bad day, but the interaction we had with mentioned young lady really put a damper on the last visit The Ugly: same as the bad. All food we got here was yummy. The live music is so fun and the cocktails are excellent too. They always have specials too!

I've had this restaurant on my list of go to's for quite some time and we were finally able to visit the Keys and the Hogfish Grill. It's quite a ways off of the beaten path but close to where our finned friends meet their demise. Had the excellent conch chowder, lobster bisque, hogfish and chips and hogfish tacos. All worth the trip. And didn't forget the Key Lime Pie!

This place is amazing! Excellent food and excellent service. My son has some allergies and we were able to make changes to a kids meal for him without extra charges. My whole family found something we loved. I didn't get a pic of the chili dogs but they're excellent. This became our go to restaurant while we were here.

Was curious about Hogfish & Hogfish Bar & Grill fit the bill! We tried the famous Killer hogfish sandwich and stuffed hogfish. Both portions were large & very enjoyable. The atmosphere is perfect for an outside casual dining experience & the prices are not outrageous for drinks. Crowd seemed to be a balance of curious tourists & locals. Inside has display of license plates & colorful Decor

Everything we got was great. Went with a larger group of family. Had many things not pictured. Burgers, fish sandwiches, lobster Mac and cheese, conch fritters, onion rings, hog fish tacos, peel and eat shrimp. Everything was great. Very friendly and waitress was on time with kids meals out first and drinks full. Will definitely be back.

Blackened Hogfish Tacos with cabbage only due to our request.

The quest for the best key lime pie in Key West began over dinner on Monday night, when I mentioned wanting to check out Kermit's on my friend Jen's recommendation, lamenting that I never got to enjoy a truly good key lime pie during my first and last visit in 2020. The one I had then was... not good. (I now know the dead giveaway is that it was green). What followed has become a pursuit of principle: truly a noble quest I can get behind. Fast-forward 3 days, and here's our verdict so far, with one contender still to come. Tomorrow night we're headed to Red Shoe Island Bistro for dinner at the insistence of a local who claims it blows Kermit's cheesecake out of the water: 1. Kermit's - The benchmark. Bright, tart, light, and perfectly balanced. 2. Hurricane Hole - Good, but missing the extra punch of tartness that puts Kermit's over the top. 3. El Siboney - Solid, but denser and more cheesecake-like, but also lacking the light, airy tartness of Kermit's. 4. Key Lime Pie Bakery - Forgettable in a town where memorable matters. 5. Matt's Stock Island Kitchen - Overly sweet with virtually no lime (or even lemon) presence. Our slice came boxed with whipped cream and... cherry sauce?! If you'd called it birthday cake, I'd have found that a more accurate description. Might as well call it Diabetes On a Plate. The boys did say this place is located in a beautiful hotel with great view. So there's that. Tomorrow morning, a plan was proposed (that I seconded): we'll stop by Kermit's to grab two slices to go and stash them in the fridge, specifically to revisit after dinner at Red Shoe Bistro as a point of reference. If Red Shoe's pie ends up being too close to call, we'll have no choice but to bring a slice home and do a true, side-by-side comparison in real time. And in the interest of not ending the trip on a sour note if tomorrow night disappoints, at least we'll be leaving Key West on Friday morning with Kermit's key lime pie as our final bite.
