In order to hook up my cell phone to my car stereo, I thought I needed a new stereo, which would have been about $700-800, but Guillermo showed me that I had an auxilary line I could use. Problem solved for about $4. They could have kept me in the dark and sold me an expensive system but they were honest and didn't do that. I took two seats in from my '69 Triumph for repair. Work was great. But went I went to pick up the seats, Dave tried to charge me $300 over his initial quote. When I told him he had quoted me so much less, he immediately dropped the price by $200 but it made me question his integrity and desire to squeeze as much money out of a customer as he can. He took me out back to get the seats and they were covered in dirt and dust, lying on their concrete floor. Lack of care was disconcerting. Again, the work was great. I needed get my car windows tinted and was given this referral by my auto insurance agent. Mind you, I had researched Yelp but was still unsure of who to go with. I trusted my agent so opted to contact Hoglund's. I spoke with Andy on Monday hoping I could get in that week. My schedule was so crazy, but Andy was patient enough to see what would work and what he could work around. Needless to say, I dropped it off that evening and they started work the very next day (very cool!). I got a call Tuesday morning from Auto Tint Man, Steve. Could not answer the call at the moment so he left me a message. I didn't get a chance to check the message, but I returned the call. Steve was super nice enough to explain the whole ordeal to me again. Apparently, they had to do something extra that would cost a little more and he had wanted to obtain approval prior to forging on. Since, it took me a while to return the call, he pressed on (very cool). I completely appreciate the fact that he wanted to give me a heads up on the extra charge. I also appreciate the fact that he completed the job and didn't wait on me. I mentioned that it would be several hours before I could pick up the car which was no problem. A couple hours later, I received another call that the car was ready and the lady gave me a total (I can't remember her name), but she was very nice. The tinting on my Mini Cooper was exactly what I had requested. Steve matched it up to my back windows. Hoglund's left me with a page of instructions so that I wouldn't jack up my tinting. Andy went over the instructions to make sure I understood everything and answered all of my questions. AWESOME work! AWESOME customer service. EXCELLENT communication! GREAT price and reasonable too! I really didn't expect that level of customer service, but I'm glad I got it!! Typically, you might get that type of customer service from a dealership (not all the time), but it's because they are after the almighty dollar and it shows! Not to mention, dealer's always give you the "hosing" price. I would definitely come back here again! I asked about installing a louder horn and they said they could do it - right on! So I came to this place for get my new car's windows tinted because my dealership was able to get a discount price. I had heard of them before and my friends had gone here and always had great work done. And this is why they get 3 stars. But the customer service SUCKS here. I called here before my dealership got the deal and they quoted me almost $350.. Next day my dealership called and got a quote for $269. I went in to see the tint shade options and the front desk lady was on the phone yelling at someone saying "no! It's a dealership deal they need to pay you or we won't give the keys that's how it works we would never do that price come on" ... Umm coming from a dealership that didn't make me welcome. The rest of the visit was fine but the next time I came again horrible service. They slammed my keys down and were on the phone the whole time and tapped at the price because they were to busy on the phone to talk to me. So if you want a good product and not customer come here! read more

Ok now... here is the thing they did a good job on the leather..... the second time. I got leather put in and the first time and when I got my car back after 3 "it should be done Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday" the car had gotten the leather seats put in but the leather wasn't tight and no heated seats were put in. Then upon sending it back it was a fest of his fault her fault finally i got a hold of a guy who had been there forever and he started saying the same thing then finally said " but right now it doesn't matter i just wanna get your car back to you" THANK YOU SO DO I. So far the leather is great however it rubs on the center consul making an annoying leather on plastic sound so i'm not sure what i'm gonna do with that yet. So after 3 weeks of delays and mishaps i finally got it back and it was in shape. But due to the delays and issues i wouldn't recommend this place. Hopefully they'll change my mind later on but we'll see. read more

In my experience Hoglund's is a bit of a mixed bag. I had two cars now that I brought to them to do various things, running boards, HID lights, tinting, etc. The folks there are pretty nice too, but as for the quality of work, it has been inconsistent for me. On my first car a couple of years ago, one of the HID lamps kept going out; they replaced it, still the same intermittent problem. In addition, one of the headlights was pointing up into the sky. I had them check it out, they couldn't fix it, tried to tell me it's the headlamp housing. So I had to bring it to my Jeep dealer, and they fixed the bulb, which was somehow misaligned, so that one cost me some time and extra money to get right. Then just recently, for my new car, I had them do some tinting on the windshield. As I drove away and turned a corner, water came running out of the housing that covers the electronics at the rear view mirror (Automatic Cruise Control (ACC), rain sensing wipers, telephone, and automatic high beam dimming). The water ran down inside the windshield, and also splashed down onto the dashboard. The instrument panel gave me warning lights that the ACC was inoperable. There was a good amount of water in those electronics. This was on a Friday, and they had just closed shop. Since I am a working man, I had to take off time from work today, go back to the Jeep dealer, had them fix and clean everything. I have a maintenance contract, so that was free, but I still had to take time off from work again. I went back to Hoglund's today and told them my story. At first they tried to deflect and blame it on the sun roof (it wasn't raining) and as a brand new car, it has not been sitting outside, it happened right after the tinting, which uses water to apply the film, and it ran into the housing and collected there. Another person (maybe the boss) came by and said yes, they use a good amount of water to apply the film and he was going to talk to the tinting guy to let him know. It would have been nice if they would have offered a bit of a refund, since I had to take off work and deal with Jeep fixing their mistakes. I spent over a 1,000 bucks for each car they worked on. Some of their work was done really well, but there are some quality control issues you need to watch out for depending on what you have them do. read more

I had a lake in the back of my car every time it rained. I took it to shop recommended by the Klein Honda, where I was given a quote (2 days later) and an estimate for a leak that was not even researched and the guy got mad at me for calling him out on it. (I know they didn't even look at it because I researched it.) My experience with Hoglunds was completely different. They clearly researched where the leak was prior to quoting me (within the day), finding leaks in places I would have never thought to look! Furthermore they answered my questions, were patient with my concerns regarding cost, and communicated throughout the repair. My auto is dry and clean now. read more

This might be long... Took my car to Everett Chevy for an issue with my convertible top. They outsource to Hoglunds in these cases. Told it may be a few days due to booking (no problem, I understand). I got a call and was told they can get it in right away due to a cancelation or something. Got a call next dat that it was ready... Wow, that was fast! Picked it up and something didn't look right, but accepted it anyway. About a week later put the top down and hear a pop. Stopped and looked but didn't see anything. Put the top the rest of the way up and took another look. the rear seal had popped out of place. Worse yet, it was the old seal with moss spores/stains (which transferred to the NEW fabric top) and a couple rips! Why wasn't this replaced? There were also scratches and damaged parts on the car! Took it back to the dealer. They said they would get it fixed properly. A week or so went by and got a call it was ready. Driver brought it around and I could tell it was still messed up. There was a 1/2 inch gap all around the rear seal! Told the dealer I was not going to accept this. After three more weeks, they finally got it looking and working right. I'm still not sure if it's right. I had my windows tinted there a couple years ago, so I asked that they tint the new rear window. Lots of bubbles still there after a few months. They did a crappy job. They should have done the tint while the top was off the car. Will never take a car there again and would not suggest anyone take theirs... If you do, good luck! read more

Hoglund's Top Shop installed a 'pop-up sunroof' in my car and did just an amazing job even when I had requested a new color for the headliner. This is the 3rd sunroof that I have had installed in 3 different cars and they did by far the finest work and craftsmanship I have ever seen with any of these installs. What's more annoying than a rainy month when you have to leave your convertible parked because it's too wet to enjoy it? Answer: a rainy month during which the mold spores that managed to invade your convertible have free rein to take over the interior. Ugh. The dealer recommended that we start with having the top inspected and upholstery removed, cleaned, reinstalled, and re-padded. They recommended Hoglund's, and $1100 later we had our convertible back in much better condition. Hoglund's did an excellent job and we're satisfied with the service and speed of their work. We'll be back to try their window tinting service soon. read more

COMPETENT & ETHICAL! I purchased an after-market keyless entry system thinking I would install it myself. After looking at the indecipherable instructions, I quickly realized it was beyond my limited abilities. I contacted at least 10 shops, most of whom would not even talk to me about anything except the brands they sold. I went to two installers before Hoglund's, was given a run-around by one and was quoted $360 by the only one who appeared to have the skills to do it. Hoglund's quoted me $150 for 1 1/2 hours of work. The actual time turned out to be 3 hrs. The system is installed, works and they honored the original quote. Any future needs, I will be coming here again! read more

I took my car there for some new interior and a new roof and we agreed on at first $10 grand then soon it was up to $20 grand, I was told 6 weeks and almost 8 months later it was finally done and was told it was over $34, 000. I was never told ahead of time, nor was I kept in the know, I called once a week as well as drove over and my car was always in the same disrepair, nothing was being worked on, I would be told that there was something more important they had to do, or that they were waiting for parts, or was in a meeting and my car just sat all that time. I feel I was taken advantage of and the work performed was not worth the final payment. Another outrageous part to this was one of their workers broke off one of the new roof's locks and I was told I wouldn't be charged for it when they broke it, I was there and saw, they put another non matching one on that doesn't work and now I can not drive my car in the rain or freeway. And on top of it all they gave it back to me filthy and stuff not done that they said would be done. I didn't even get real leather, had I known I was going to be charged so much later I would have gotten the more expensive leather. I Had been paying cash during all those months and I kept asking how close were we to the $20grand only to be told no where near, and then when I kept pressuring to get my car back all of a sudden it went from 20 grand to 34 grand. All in all when it was done I went out the door paying $28 grand and some change. I do not recommend this place to anyone that doesn't know their stuff because there is something to be said about trusting just anyone and not knowing the laws. read more

I recently had Hoglunds install several new audio components and seat heaters in my Dodge Ram. They were very courteous and helpful. I went to them because I feel we need to buy local and keep our local businesses at the top of the list. I did a little shopping around and found that the "chain" stores had really bad customer service and all the reviews were terrible. Their pricing is competitive and the overall experience has been good. Brian, the installer was great and tried to answer all my dumb questions. The final bills were at or below their original estimates! That's really rare. Also, there were no scuff marks or scratches inside my vehicle. They did a clean neat install. There were a couple communication issues between me and them and they cleared everything up and even deducted some of the costs due to a mixup. That never happens! So keep them in mind if you ever need audio video or upholstery you won't regret it. read more

Hoglund's response is incorrect. The leak was immediate. The top was replaced in November 2014. I drove the car home to Mill Creek and parked it and left town on business. It rained while I was out of town drenching the interior. This was a leak that didn't exist until after the top was replaced. I reported the leak immidiately when it was discovered but was told I had to wait until January 2015 until they had time to repair the leak. While I then covered the car to keep more water from entering, I had no garage space to dry it out. I wrote the review now because of electrical problems apparently caused by the water damage. The car hasn't been driven in the last year due to these problems other than into and out of shops trying to correct the electrical damage. read more

I was referred to Hoglund's and so glad that I was!! I purchased an 07' Infinity M35x a year ago. The previous owner had an aftermarket stereo system installed. With that, wires had been hanging down under the dash.... drove me nuts. The main reason I took my car in was for the iPhone aux cable. The car came with the original cable for the OLD iphone. With that, I wasn't able to plug in my phone for music. I wanted to make sure I took it to a place that would respect my car and take good care of her while in their shop. I always get worried about parts getting scratched...not being put back together correctly...etc. I'm OCD, so I pay VERY close attention to detail and work that is done. Kevin was easily able to diagnose the aux cable issue. He ordered the replacement part (although a bit pricey, but hey...that's just how it goes with cars), and I had my car in a few days later. Although they were fully booked, they wanted to make sure I was taken care of before Kevin was to be out the following week on vacation. Dave, the owner, made sure I was taken care of from beginning to end. I swear this place could build a car from the shell out. Kevin cleaned up all the previous wiring, which I highly appreciated. All is great! Dash and parts where put back together perfectly. I will definitely be taking my car back for a few more cosmetic issues in the near future. They are a very busy business and often on the phone when you walk in, but they certainly don't mean to "ignore" you and will help you as quickly as possible. Just got my windows tinted using the Amazon deal. I had read the earlier review about the extra $50 to not leave the 1/8 inch, so I wasn't shocked to find out about that. If you are using the Amazon deal expect to pay extra for a few things. I ended up paying quite a bit in extras. It was $50 for the 1/8 inch, another $29 for getting 20% tint (the deal only covers 35%), and then another $50 because my back passenger windows are split (like most cars are) so they count those as extra windows. They said that they try to put as much info as they can in the description of the deal but they are only allowed so many words. It would have been nice to know about these things beforehand but it was worth it because they did a really great job, were very nice and professional and the tint has a lifetime warranty. Hopefully this review will be helpful to others so they won't surprised by extra charges. read more

If you are looking to have anything done on the inside of your car, I recommend Hoglunds. About a year ago I stopped in for a tint job on my Mercedes and the guy did a fantastic job, and I'm particular. More recently I went shopping for a stereo system. I actually did not remember they did stereos but when I was passing their shop on my way to another, I noticed they had on their sign that they do stereos as well. I am very glad that I had seen it too. I had been to several different shops to try to find someone who could do the custom work I had in mind. I wanted to have an audiophile quality stereo, however I did not want anything to be visible in case I wanted to leave my convertible top down. They told me that they absolutely could do that, which I had heard everywhere, but these guys had picture proof of a similar car showing exactly what they had in mind. I am very confident I had made the right choice with Hoglunds. My car looks exactly as I left it could and you would never be able to tell that anyone had worked on it!!
