I came to check this place out. Cute shop with sweet employees. One lady stated she had just started working there and thanked me for my patience as she was ringing me up. I loved the variety of clothes and designs. The spiritual wear didn't bother me at all. Everyone has a right to their opinions, beliefs and faith. This store is one of my favorites. I always find cute, unique, and high quality baby gifts. you can tell they pit a lot of thought and care into curating their collection. I went in for small business Saturday shopping and to use the gift card my bf got for me last xmas and the gift card showed as "used". I'm 95% sure I didn't use it, I don't shop there often. I believe the owner was there and said there was nothing they could do about it. Didn't even offer any discount for the full price item I bought. I told my bf to not buy a gift card from there ever again. They do have cute stuff but not as much as they used to have. read more

I've been hesitant to take the time to write this review, but today was the final strike. I usually try to be extra patient with small businesses, as I myself was a small business owner in the women's retail space. I understand it's hard to find great labor. I understand the logistical challenges associated with inventory and shipping. So, I do have a level head about my perspective and none of this review is emotionally fueled or written to target an individual. It's simply a few words of advice and a look at how being your customer feels. For credibility's sake, I have probably spent upwards of $2,000 at this store. In the past, the gals aren't the most attentive or connected to customers. They make you feel brushed off, ignored, unimportant. There is one gal at Smokey Point (blonde, always has fantastic long nails) who is extra sweet and recognizes me, so she gives me special attention. I really appreciate that. The others however, need to take notes. Other local shops that I frequent, remember me, try to engage with me about sizing/things that I'm looking for. I remember that about specific stores, and I'm further motivated to support them because the consistency of their work ethic is sincere. Perhaps part of the issue is that the employees are not being treated well. I once worked for a bridal boutique and turned my boss into the Department of Revenue, for embezzlement and for not paying me. Anyway, today I was thoroughly appalled. I was trying clothes on in the dressing room. I overheard a customer gush over some tank tops that she adored, and she was ready to pay for them. After she tried them on, and went up to the counter to purchase said items, the worker goes "oh I'm sorry there was just an online order for that" and proceeded to take the items from the customers hands........ If this were me, I might have had a mini b**** fit and stormed out. Inventory is merchandising 101, if you don't have the inventory to support a website and a physical store, something's gotta give. Marlowe Boutique in Bothell does not have a website purposely because they cannot move inventory slow enough (meaning things sell out in a snap, like they do at Hoity Toity). Because of this, all customers have equal access and opportunity to shop. When you revoke someone's motivation to support you, you are singlehandedly cannibalizing yourself, at your own expense. Maybe your owner told workers that online orders are priority, but that is STILL no way to treat a customer, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that. The vibe of your store is elitist and cocky. Today was my last $250 haul. For those reading this, Arlington Hardware, Ladders Clothing & Co, Marlowe Boutique, and Adored Boutique are all excellent alternatives, if you want to be treated like a human :) read more

Love love love this store. As a bigger girl, it's super frustrating going into small boutiques like this and not being able to find clothes that fit. No they don't carry plus size clothes, but a lot of the clothes actually fit me. I am normally a XL/2X and I actually have been able to wear a M/L in most of the items here. The girls at the Snohomish store are great! I'm always down to support a small business that supports your freedoms as an American! read more

I've been hesitant about giving a poor review to a small business, but it's hard to ignore when every time I shop there I get uncomfortable. The staff have never been very friendly or genuine, and they sit there quietly staring at you while you shop. Today I ran in to grab an order for pickup, and just as I walked up to the counter the girl made eye contact with me as she picked up her phone to take a personal call and strolled off. I've worked a variety of customer service-focused roles and can't imagine ever doing that myself while a customer stands patiently waiting. Very cute clothes but be fully prepared to get in, get what you need, and get out as quickly as possible. read more

What an awesome shop! My friend recommended me to stop by and pick up some unique shirts and maybe some jeans. Wish I didn't wait so long to stop by this gem! I had such awesome service today (around 12ish) and a sweet gal who picked out tons of pieces for me to try on! I got so many things out of my norm, I can't wait to wear them. Also they have Farm House Fresh products - grabbed two masks! Everyone was working to put new clothes out and the shop was super clean. Super impressed and can't wait to come back! I'm always very hesitant about going into boutiques. It can either go really well or really bad. And my experience at Hoity Toity is almost always really bad...Their clothes are so cute and I even follow them on Instagram, but the 4 out of 5 times I've gone in at the Marysville location I've been ignored. This last time I thought the store was empty, but instead the lady at the desk just looked up at us and then looked down at her IPad...not once did someone ask if we were doing okay, needed any help, etc. Worst experience. Felt awkward shopping there. I won't be back to that location. I also read another review they only offer store credit which I had no idea. Overall they need to communicate to their customers and be more friendly. read more

Every experience I have had in these stores have not been nice. Hoity Toity is not inclusive when it comes to sizing. Not to mention you can find the exact brands for 1/4 of the price just about any other store. This company does not share or post any customers or models of color, they seem proud of how whitewashed their staff and marketing is. They are pretty much the Hobby Lobby of clothing and its gross. read more

Called and put a pair of boots on hold for pick up- girl said no problem. I made it clear I was driving 2 hours to pick them up. (For my birthday) They took down my phone number and name I even called a second time to double verify and again no problem boots were there and mine. Not a single mention that if someone ordered them online they'd sell them out from underneath me. Or else obviously I would've just ordered them online.. or paid via phone. Upon arriving im told they sold them online within last 30 minutes and they gave me NO notice or phone call which was "there bad". Last month I ordered a dress they charged my card then refunded me apologizing they didn't have the dress I was like ok, I understand. Been a long time customer since they opened but after the absolute disrespect of the girl working today and how they didn't even care to try to correct their mistake I will no longer be recommending them or being a customer. I was in on Sunday and purchased some clothing. I also made a reluctant purchase of a oil diffuser kit for $125 including tax. I walked out of the store and discussed the price in more detail with my husband and we decided it was to much to spend. Within 10 minutes or less I went right back into the store with item still in the bag, and was told no returns, only gift card credit. I just wanted it put back on my credit card. 'Can't do it', was the answer. I can see this policy with clothing, but a boxed household item? Your return policy should be clearly stated and posted when it's so strict. I now have a $125 gift card to a store I don't usually ever shop at, and really don't care to in the future because of their unreasonable return policy. Will not be going back to that location. As soon as I walk in the door an employee comes up and asks me if I need help finding anything. I said no thank you. No less than a minute later another girl comes up to me and asks me if I need help, and asks what I am looking for. I once again said no, I am just looking at the moment. Again moments later, I am approached by a pushy employee who tries to entice me into buying some ugly terry cloth booty shorts. I had NO interest in them what so ever, and she wouldn't leave it alone. Even as I walked away from her she followed me to the display area where all the jeans sit, and kept on trying to get me to buy something. You can't walk two feet in that place without someone coming up to you and bugging you. It's obnoxious really. The sales people follow you around the entire time and it's uncomfortable. read more

I walked into Hoity Toity an hour after purchasing my second house. I saw a beautiful dresser that I wanted to purchase for my new home. I was not dressed very nice. I had sweat pants on and was wearing a pony tail. My appearance should not have mattered because I was a customer. Ready to purchase an expensive item at that! I was treated like I wasn't worth talking to. It was a struggle to get any of the employees to help me at all. This store is the definition of Hoity Toity...... Snobby! Love, love, love this store! They have a very well curated selection of chic clothing, accessories, body, and home products. The clothing is stylish, high quality, and reasonably priced. Lots of neural colors and timeless pieces. The employees were really nice and take the time make conversation with you. I picked up an amazing room spray that smells like bananas and suntan lotion, and my friend got a super cute pair of mules. I was in heaven sniffing their candles. My first experience with this beautiful boutique was amazing! I fell in love with almost everything they had. The sales girls were so sweet and helpful. They helped me gather up a lot of items and set them up in a room for me. I probably tried on 50 items. She would run and get me a different size or something in a different color. I tried on a dress that I fell in love with, but the only one they had was too big. They called the other store and put it on hold for me. I found so many items I loved! I was able to go to the other store the next day and pick up my dress. The girls in that store were lovely and helpful too. Overall - it was probably the most fun shopping experience I have ever had! I love the clothes and I had wonderful customer service at both the Marysville and Snohomish locations. I will for sure be back! read more

Have visited store many times all with the same experience... Rude! I have never felt so bad about myself when visiting a retail store. Asked if they had an extra large in a flannel shirt I wanted to buy and sales girl responded... We don't carry those sizes! Well then. I guess I'm just to fat so shop there and spend good money there. Guess I will buy my clothes somewhere that can treat every guest regardless of size politely. My daughter and I had the worst customer service experience here, we wanted to buy a gift for a relative on Thanksgiving and was unsure of the size. We were told by the staff that we could buy the sweater and return it, If it did not fit... Well of course it didn't and we went to return it 2 days later unworn with tags and the receipt and apparently they do not except returns only in-store credit. With such deceptive sales tactics we will never shop at this shady sales tactics store, shame on you! read more

I've been into this store several times and each time the staff are totally friendly and helpful. They do have a very strict return policy and only give store credit or exchange for unwashed unworn items with tags still attached, and only within a certain amount of time after buying (30 days I think). This escaped me at first, and like someone else here said, I could have SWORN the sales person I bought from said I could return the items I bought if they didn't work out (baby clothes). It came as a complete surprise to me that I couldn't return but as I was making the exchange I did see that the return policy is displayed on a little sign at the checkout so I must have missed it the first time... They have a lot of cute items for women and for babies. I would definitely recommend this store if you are totally sure you either want the item you are buying, or are completely comfortable with their exchange/store credit policy. One of my favorite items they carry are the Z-supply t-shirts. You won't want to return those at all! read more
