Called to schedule an appliance pickup. I told them someone may pick it up but they said the only way to get a pick up onschedule was to pay ahead of time. I did. Then called and told them that someone picked it up and cancel the service. I asked for the refund since there was no service taking place, they refused. After which I said that makes no sense and that there is no where on the website that indicates that, nor did the original person I talked to mention it. The lady said her manager was on a call and would call me back........of course that was just an excuse to get off the phone. This place is unethical and like the other reviewers mention, you should steer clear of this business. I can't imagine how terrible they are if one of the products you purchase from them doesn't work. read more

Bought a refrigerator from them in October that was damaged in delivery. Called several times and finally went in was told they would order a new door. Waited several weeks and no door, called several times and was either promised they would call me back or left a am. Went back in twice and each time was promised it was ordered but no door showed up. Went back in again and promised again that a door would be delivered. Finally 4 weeks later I get a call that the door is and and they will come by to install on Friday. They show up and the new door is more damaged than the original one...aaaarrrgh!!! I have been a customer of SRA for 25+ years, up until today I have gotten good value and decent service. We needed a fridge as ours had packed it in. SRA had what we wanted on Saturday, but not at the price (they turned down our admittedly low ball offer) , we were told that we would need to speak to the boss on Monday. Today (Sunday 9/15/2024) we went to back buy a cheap fridge, as a stopgap until we can get what we want. We found what we wanted, cheap, no frills, we would haul it, fine, just what we need to get by. While we were doing the paperwork, the employee we had dealt with the day before came in and subjected us to an Anti-Semitic slur. While I was deciding not to resort to violence, my Wife jumped in and told him that his language was offensive and not appropriate. Her words were somewhat stronger than that, but I'm sure you can figure it out. The man then said that he was sorry, and that he didn't know we were Jewish. She is not, but I am! As you can imagine his brush off of his offensive behavior did not make us feel better. Even though it cost us money we turned around and left, with some unpleasant parting words. We will never shop there again, even though they are pretty much the only game in town. We will be vocal in encouraging our friends not to shop there as well. My son went to recycle a chest freezer at this place because he saw a sign that said free appliance recycling. When he drove up and asked a person outside if they could recycle the freezer, they said "sure." Then they took it and crushed it and told him "By the way, there's a $35 charge for recycling" This is information that should have been provided BEFORE they accepted the appliance and crushed it. Basically they provided an irreversible service without disclosing that there is a fee for it. I called them to talk to them about it and their response was basically that my son should've asked AND that their employees are told to tell people to check in in the office which they did not do and there's no reason to ask if there's a sign that says "Free Recycling". What really P**sed me off the most is that the person in charge came into the conversation and I brought up the free recycling sign and no fee being posted anywhere, he said "your son should've asked. That's what's wrong with this generation of kids." That was beyond unprofessional. Then when I called him out on it he tried to save face and told me I was twisting what he said. On another note, they "recycle" appliances (including those they charge for) and recondition them then sell them at practically new prices. I purchased a stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator in November. The refrigerator was not cooling, a repair person came out to fix the refrigerator, it started cooling. The temperature kept getting cooler and cooler to the point it froze all my Thanksgiving food. The repair person came out two more times and not able to fix the refrigerator. He stated a part had to be ordered, it is going on three months and I still do not have a working refrigerator. I have called several times and absolutely no response. My mother has purchased many many appliances from this outlet. She really believed that they were great at their craft. My experience so far has been pretty awful. My dryer broke and I needed a new dryer. Like many people during covid my work schedule has had me stuck at home and on zoom meetings but my mother was sweet enough to take the drive from Seattle to Snohomish for the purpose of seeing what they had on hand. This was two weeks ago. It was a Friday around noon and the sales person and my mother called me and we discussed what appliances they had on the floor I asked if the appliances were brand new (they said YES) and I asked the salesperson to send me pictures (front, back, sides and inside) for my viewing. I never received any photos. My mother is 80 years old. After we were off the phone the salesman somehow convinced my mother to use her credit card to hold / purchase both a washer and dryer for me. They assured her that they were brand new and if I was unhappy that they would undue it all until it was correct. My mom then expected me to write her a check for the merchandise. Which I would 100% do. The very next day (Saturday) I still never received the photos. As a result I drove to the Appliance Recycle Outlet and asked to view the appliances. The original sales person was very busy and didn't have time to explain anything or slow down to talk to me. He was fast talking and a bit rude. Another sales person was very sweet and asked me how he could help. He really did offer his time and attention. He told me that he could have sold me that same set that my mom looked at for $400 less than what was offered to my mother. He also told me that those items were 100% not brand new, so the original sales person was dishonest about that. That's not good. These white whirlpool appliances were also electric and not gas. Ughh... The new sales person said he would correct it all and "I promise to take care of you ladies". He even found me a better appliance option which was a brand new silver whirlpool gas dryer and he stated that he would refund my mom's card and then properly charge me for that new silver gas dryer (after they made sure that it was properly functioning). This would only take a day. None of that happened. I was expecting this dryer to be delivered to my house the following Tuesday because this is what the new sales person said would happen. Instead the sales person went silent. He called and also was texting all of these details and promises and then stopped communicated. No communication, no dryer, nothing. I have called multiple times and zero response. I was told that the "boss" would reach out to me but I have never received a call. Holy smokes.. I just wanted a great dryer. Be mindful of the pricing games. Be mindful of the merchandise and what they claim to be new might not actually be new. Don't expect follow up or clear communication. And you might need to just let yelp, your credit card company, the better business bureau or an attorney help you communicate the service that you deserve. Got the order after MONTHS AND MONTHS, and it was missing the dishwasher. They said they would personally deliver it, and yet again we are having the same issue. Do not buy from them. I have been going to the Snohomsh appliance recycling outlet for years now. Had to go today because my dryer stopped working. Took it in 4 them to look at. I was in and out in less then 10 minutes. They fixed my dryer and it only cost me 20 bucks. I guess the heater went out. So they replaced it. Awesome customer service. Scott helped me an was great to work with. Everyone there is very friendly and professional. Highly recommend going and giving them a visit if you are needing to replace any of your appliances in your home and want to save some money. read more

Wow! Customer service is amazing! I buy all of my larger appliances here. I bought a washer/dryer set (although mismatched, bought at different times as my older appliances failed) + a brand-new fridge. They stand behind their warranties. They have always delivered quickly when they said they would within an hour--which as we all know, could mean a 4-6-hour window when using other services. I bought a brand new (the interior packaging was still intact) Beko fridge that retails for $2000+, out the door, delivered for less than $800. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. If you are flexible, you can find some slammin' deals here. Check it out before heading to the big name stores. You won't be disappointed. They even helped me find a teeny part for my dishwasher (that I did not purchase there) in hopes that I could DIY rescue it from a slow and painful death. They have everything! Absolutely outstanding. These guys go above and beyond. When I came in for a specific W/D, Scott told me it'd be a week before they came in, but he asked if either of mine were broken (yes, my washing machine), and then just offered to deliver and install a really nice loaner washer the very next day in the meantime. Who does that?! I was so impressed with that alone, but when the delivery came the next day, and it was actually the model I ordered, was over the moon happy! Now, the dryer delivery wasn't as smooth, as they installed a gas model instead of electric, but I reached out and not only did they rectify the situation as soon as I was available, but they surprised me with a free upgrade, and installed a substantially nicer and newer model W/D! WHAT! I am a customer for life now. Yes, they were hard to get a hold of, and the negative reviews really started to worry me, but it was around Labor Day weekend, an incredibly busy time for them, so be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt if you have a problem. They WILL remedy it. Both times I was there, the owner asked if I had been taken care of, and he seemed genuinely concerned about my satisfaction. Scott and his wife work their butts off and get things DONE, the delivery guys are great, and overall I had an excellent experience. I had purchased a couple of items there that I was able to take with me at the time and they worked out fine. However the last appliances I purchased there was a machine space gray Electrolux washer and dryer. They of course did not have the dryer in stock but was supposed to be in the following week and Scott Green( the sales person who sold me the set) said they would deliver it then. This was in October of 2020, it is now January 2023 and still no matching dryer. I have called well over a dozen times, I have talked with Scott Green, a few others and most recently a Yolanda, all have seemed sympathetic and tell me they are going to make it right, not one has called back. After 8 months we finally got our new range yesterday. Did we get it from appliance recyclers...no. No we did not. So eight months ago we decided to give Dave a shot and pre paid for him to find us a range. At the time Dave said to give him a couple of weeks, as it was summer and I like cooking outdoors I made a joke that as long as it's resolved before Thanksgiving I had no concerns. Well after five months of periodically checking in and nothing on their end I was getting frustrated. At that point he finally found a range for me to look at. It was a 10 year old gas range that needed fixing. I paid 3500.00 for a new dual fuel range. Because he could tell that I was angry I was offered a loaner. The delivery guy installed this pos with a hammer. Broken tile, completely out of level etc... Months later my tile wasn't fixed and I was tired of burning soup and rice and everything else I decided I was done. Dave Meade a really good attempt to get me into a range at that point that had none of the features or quality that we had originally discussed with zero discount. F.y.i I found that same range at Albert lee for 2k later that day. And even though Dave told me he was in constant contact with Albert lee on a constant basis they sold a viking display model with all of the features I wanted in the price range we wanted that week that had been on the floor at a discounted price for months. I went in and was very well treated and helped at the recycling center to pick out a stove a dishwasher, a microwave, a refrigerator and a stackable washer and dryer. The service there has been wonderful. We weren't quite sure when we were going to have these delivered as I am building a home. The appliance center came to deliver, and saw that we weren't ready to have the appliances installed. They graciously took the appliance back without any question and have agreed to store them for me until we know when they can be delivered I've had the pleasure of working with Colleen and our salesman, which I unfortunately have forgotten his name. Took the hour drive up to give the model and make except they don't keep inventory of their parts, a tech has to match it up with what they have on hand. They didn't have it so I lost time and gas. Told the secretary to have better customer service instead of wasting everyones time. Fell on deaf ears. Old and bitter lady who said it'd take away a techs time to look for a part. Wanna explain to her how it was still a waste of their time when I showed up to do the same thing, plus a waste of my and her own time. Again deaf ears wouldn't understand the argument. I am a recent widow on a fixed income and needed appliances when I moved. Bought a stacked washer/dryer and then on another visit, a Maytag refrigerator and paid extra for icemaker, a 5 cu ft chest freezer, and splurged on a portable dishwasher. All items came with one year warranty. Washer/dryer will not stay balanced. Refrigerator delivered was a Frigadaire with no icemaker, dishwasher was not functional and chest freezer was not delivered. After calling almost daily for 2 weeks they sent out a repairman who releveled washer/dryer and repaired connection on dishwasher. Washer/dryer lost level on first load and dishwasher ran through one full load and died when I tried to run again. Phone calls continued. After a full month they brought out a freezer half the size of what I bought as a loaner. Offered me store credit if I wanted to keep it. Called and requested refund and, as usual, they swore they would call me back and did not. So I ended up with wrong refrigerator, non-working dishwasher, wrong freezer, washer/dryer with issues and no icemaker. It has been over a month and it is obvious they have no intention of making this right or providing a refund on items I spent almost one month of income to purchase. If I want working items I will be forced to hire a repair person or purchase again from somewhere else. read more

set up appointment on Tuesday for an appliance pick up. They said they would be able to provide pick up for an additional fee. I agreed to the additional fee and they agreed to pick my appliance, provided it was on the curb in front of my house. They scheduled my pick up for Friday between 12: noon and 6:oo pm. I removed the appliance from my house, put it on the curb at 9:am. Its now midnight Friday and the appliance is still on the curb. My payment was processed and no services were rendered. What a sorry bunch of people masquerading as a legitimate recyclers. read more

Need to recycle a refrigerator, have called many times over the past 2 months, no one answers the phone.

My sister lived at an apt in Everett and they had this washer that skipped the wash cycle while also spitting in sand. It was also confused and locked unlocked and was off balance for no apparent reason. She finally got another washing machine. We moved to a house in Everett and guess what washer we have; that one. First thing I noticed was sand which has subsided. Now it consistently goes fill rinse and spin, no wash cycle. It's loud and locks and unlocks and it is so confused. It's a Roper. My landlord also bought a fridge from them that leaks water into the freezer which we notice through the frozen ice there. These appliances don't function correctly, and this is probably why they are donated out for for free. Some things can be repaired if you are highly knowledgable but look at the washer and you tell me. I can't call the landlord as there are so many problems and if I say something I am problematic so here we are 3 months into this and either we pay to fix it or move. Lil read more

Purchased a stove there for our rental house. They had to refurbish it first. I came back later and asked if I could plug it in to make sure it worked well. The sales person told me that their technician had checked it out and signed off on it. I asked him then "does that mean I can't plug it in?" (My son-in-law had previously told me his story of purchasing a dishwasher from this place which did not work once he installed it. I did not want to go through all the trouble of taking it to the rental place and having it not work properly.). Well the salesman then showed he was frustrated with me, grabbed a two wheel handtruck, and proceeded to take the stove to the back room. While he was doing that, he yelled with an attitude to his fellow worker that he had a customer who didn't believe the technician, and wanted to plug in the stove. Three guys in the back room proceeded to have an attitude as they tried to figure out where an outlet was to plug it in, and showed their displeasure with me for even asking to plug it in. Give me a break. They treated me with disrespect and were rude. That's the last time that I am going to that place. I can see on other reviews that people have had the same experience. Purchased a freezer on Thursday August 18th 2022 to be cleaned up and refurbished. They said it would be ready in 4-6 days, and it would be ready the following Saturday (August 27th) for pick up. On Saturday August 27th I called to verify that our freezer was ready to be picked up and they said they would go look and give us a call back. Two hours later we still had not gotten a call back, so we called again. The woman we spoke with said work on it had not been started and she could not give us a date that it would be ready by, but she could go put a sold tag on it. At this point we asked for a refund because they had already charged our card the full amount. She declined to refund our money despite not being able to provide the product or service that we paid for. I will never work with this company again, despite them having great prices. They are clearly dishonest and don't count on getting what you paid for. read more
