We have traveled around the world and utilize lots of different types of lodging. One of the reasons we enjoy staying at B&Bs versus hotels is the interactions with the owners. It's a great way to learn more about the area and people and creates a more memorable experience. And our stay at Terraluna Inn was exactly that and one of our favorites. We stayed for one night on our Oregon road trip after a day at Crater Lake. From before our stay even began, we had good communication with our hosts. Generous house tour and beautiful garden. The owners have thought of every little touch and the attention to detail from a service and hospitality perspective was superb. Welcomed with blueberry sangria, a treat after we returned from dinner and ice cold water at bed were just some examples. We would absolutely stay here again.

Their warmth, kindness, and attention to every detail made us feel more like cherished friends than guests. Our room was comfortable, beautifully appointed, and featured a private bathroom with king bed along with a lovely porch where we could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Every morning, we were delighted to find fresh coffee waiting outside our door, followed by an absolutely amazing gourmet breakfast served in their formal dining room. Each breakfast was beautifully prepared, incredibly delicious, and made with obvious care and creativity. It was the perfect way to start a day of exploring the breathtaking waterfalls and hiking trails of the North Umpqua. The hospitality didn't end there. In the evenings, Gail treated us to her delicious homemade pastries served with a wonderful port wine. Then, after returning from a full day of hiking, we were welcomed back with freshly made mojitos--a thoughtful and refreshing touch that perfectly capped off each day. These little gestures made us feel truly pampered and appreciated. James and Gail are exceptional hosts. They are warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making every guest's stay memorable. Their passion for hospitality shines through in everything they do. We cannot imagine a better bed and breakfast experience. TerraLuna Inn combines outstanding hospitality, incredible food, beautiful accommodations, and a charming historic setting into something truly special. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to our next visit. If you're planning to explore the North Umpqua River waterfalls or simply want a relaxing getaway, we give TerraLuna Inn our highest recommendation. Thank you, James and Gail, for making our stay so unforgettable!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!!!!!…read more I took a road trip with my young son to roseburg for a fun weekend getaway and to visit the wildlife safari. After being on the road for hours, we approached the hotel, I literally said "I hope this isn't our hotel." It was. We arrived and immediately noticed the extremely run down, dated, and dirty building. The grounds have not been well kept whatsoever. My son and I both felt uneasy. We made our way to the lobby to check-in and I instantly had a pit in my stomach once I saw the front desk guy, Johnny. There was something about him that seemed so unnerving. My son tightly held my hand and we took our place in line. In front of us was a very sweet older gentlemen and the way Johnny spoke to him made me instantly want to just turn around and walk out. The older man said "no, thanks! I won't be needing that!" And Johnny gave him a nasty look and shoved the card towards him while saying "ummm this is your key." The old man said "oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was the WiFi code." With a blank stare. I could tell the older man felt embarrassed. It was our turn and we approached Johnny, still feeling uneasy. He glared at my son and I was so confused. I seriously was like "what the hell is going on around here?!?" I told Johnny we were checking in. He was unbelievably rude and treated me like I was unintelligent and like I was his greatest inconvenience, which I found to be quite funny and was mostly just confused while having a "there's no way this is actually happening" thought. He asked us if we wanted a room upstairs or downstairs, my son excitedly said "upstairs, please!" He ROLLED HIS EYES at my son. Gave us a room downstairs. Why did he even ask?!?!? I saw my son physically cower and looked at me for help. At this point, I'm becoming extremely frustrated and want to find a way out. I was LIVID and said "great. So helpful." As I walked away. He said to the rest of the guests in line "what did that b***h just say to me?!?!" We picked up our pace because he seemed so out of control, I was genuinely afraid he would come after us!!! I take my key and we walked hesitantly to our room. Upon arrival to the room, we noticed it looked NOTHING like the photos. Small, cramped, dirty, dust on the curtains, stains on the floor. The bed squeaked when my son sat on it, the bathroom was microscopic, and the toilet was stained yellow. The curtains were so thin, I could see people staring at us as they walked by!!! I did not take pictures because I didn't even want to sit down!! At this point, I knew we had to get out of there. My son was exhausted and became emotional while telling me he didn't feel safe there. We finally found another place to go and bravely made our way back to the front desk. I calmly told Johnny that we didn't feel safe and I'd like a full refund. Thankfully, he gave me the full refund, but someone I assumed to also be working there came into the lobby soaking wet from the pool with no shirt on and said "what's her problem????" Right in front of us. Johnny said "she doesn't feel safe" in a mocking and condescending tone. We quickly got to our car and left. This is probably the biggest case of false advertising that I have ever seen!!! The lobby looks NOTHING like the pictures. They tried to make the lobby seem spacious and clean, it was not. By any means. The whole experience was awful. Thank god we were able to find a better hotel. Please please trust me when I say do not go here and do not take your children here!!!!! Especially if you're alone as a woman with small children!!!!

The facility boasts an indoor pool and hot tub with ADA Compliant assists. Breakfast is included and there is an Applebees located next door. The interior hallway of the hotel is somewhat narrow and not very well lit. Our room has 2 Queen (?) beds that have a comfortable firmness. The pillows are a very thin compression that require two or three just to raise your head a bit. .....again, no dresser but there IS an armoire with 8 hangers. The room does have a TV, small microwave and mini fridge. There is a large drawer under the microwave but the handle is missing. There is a sink and mirror counter with a very small one cup coffee maker. The bathroom is a very small afterthought with a pocket slide door that just barely has room for the shower. For the cost of this room ($200+) and the condition it's in, a comparable price would be to drive the extra 26 miles to the Seven Feathers Casino hotel. There you will get a much nicer room for the same price. But then again, this time we decided to stay here due to the convenience. Three stars for the price vs quality. Drop the price from $212 to around $80 and it would feel about right. Until then, this valuation of the room is too high.

It was spotless, including the bathroom, the bed was comfortable. I got a good night sleep. There is a desk that you can do work on if you need to. Instead of being in front of the bed, the TV was off to the side of the bed. It was on a swivel, so you could turn it toward the bed, but it would've been much better where you would normally see the TV. It did get a good number of cable TV channels and it had a good picture. There was a microwave and the fridge, and the Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but still fast enough to stream video. Plugs are a bit limited, to be able to charge my gear next to the bed, I had to pull the nightstand away from the wall, a couple of inches and unplug the alarm clock Breakfast was great. Waffles, fruit, coffee, juice, and they also had eggs, sausage, and even biscuits and gravy. The food was hot, and it was good. I paid for the room with points, but on a Friday night at the end of July, the going rate was around $125 a night. For all you get, it's a reasonable price. I would stay here again. Thank you!
