First let me remind folks ... this is a Motel 6, so there is not much to expect for what you pay. That being said, the room was very basic, it was clean, the bed and pillow wasn't that bad and the bathroom/shower was recently renovated. Things you may miss include, no closets, no dresser draws, one electrical outlet in the room and one in the bathroom (no USB ports), no alarm clock, no coffee maker, you have to check out a hair dryer from the front desk and they only provide a small bar of soap in the bathroom (no shampoo, lotion, etc.). Yes, there is a small microwave and a mini-fridge (no freezer), and that's about it. The only real issue I had was the paper thin walls ... I could hear people in the next room, as well as everything that goes on in the hallway, but thankfully I didn't hear the traffic from the freeway nearby. So the bottom line, it wasn't that bad for 80 some dollars. One major positive ... there is an Elmer's restaurant sharing the same parking lot, maybe about 100 feet from the front of the lobby entrance, so you don't have to drive around to find breakfast. read more

Pretty decent Motel 6. Same with all others, no coffee pot or complimentary toiletries in room. They usually offer coffee in the lobby, but with the current covid restrictions, they opted out of that convenience. Luckily I purchased a nice 5 cup machine at Walmart for $10, which came in handy on this road trip with our pups. Check-in was quick and simple. Staff was friendly. We were even able to upgrade our room reservation to a room with mini fridge for $5 extra. When I booked our room online, there wasn't one available, so that was nice. We reserved a two queen beds room. The room was kind of clean. The floors could use a good mopping, and the room smelled like dog. The hallway coming to our room (3rd floor) was even worse! We received a courtesy call about an hour after check in and my husband let the lady know our room smelled bad. She immediately came up and sprayed our room with a neutralizing spray. It helps quite a bit. We opened our window for fresh air, but it had no screen. The furniture was in good condition. The TV is the smallest we've seen while staying at these motels. Overall a decent experience with this chain of motels. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would probably stay here again when traveling with pets. read more

We were on vacation and decided to stay here. I liked that it was right off the freeway. We booked this hotel on orbitz 2 nights for $150. It's a very basic hotel with 3 stories but for the price I think it's reasonable. When you check in there's a computer you can use, a microwave, and vending machines. The room had two beds and a desk. Nothing fancy but definitely all you need. The hotel was older but clean. It's right next to restaurants. For the price I would definitely return. read more

Terrible! I don't understand how some other sites list this as 8/10 stars. Very dated. Dirty hallway carpet. My room wreaked of BenGay. Couldn't switch rooms bc none available with fridge and microwave)WHICH THEY CHARGE YOU FOR SEPARATELY AND FAIL TO MENTION ON THEIR WEBSITE!!). Front desk offered me citrus spray to cover it up. 3 days with window open and fan blowing and it still stunk. Room was not the cleanest. Springs in bed creaked and were uncomfortable. Lots of old people wandering the halls. Elderly in wheelchairs that looked to be permanent residents. I felt like I was staying in a nursing home. Hobos in the parking lot like everywhere else. Looked more updated than some Motel 6s. Easy checking in. Lots of vending machines. Employees wore masks. Room looked clean enough but still wiped everything down with Clorox wipes to be safe. I checked in January 24 to have surgery on the 25 and when I woke up I had a few bites from something on my left hand I didn't think of it then because I was more worried about my surgery. I came back from the hospital on the 26 after surgery and everytime I woke up I had more and more bites on me. Sunday the 28 to discovered bed bugs and staff found them too so I got moved to another room. I got treated like I brought them in but I live outside in a tent in the Sutherlin homeless camp. The manager refused me an extension on my stay with my health insurance. Now I can't stay at any hotel because I was exposed to bed bugs read more

"Eek! Methinks not" is right! I decided to stay here from the great ratings here on Yelp! I didn't actually read the reviews (TOTALLY MY BAD)! I honestly don't know how this place can get 4 or even 5 stars after my stay.. First off, checking in wasn't bad. The receptionist was very friendly, lobby area is small but clean. They have free wifi and ample parking so that was a plus. They also let pets stay free which is awesome since I was traveling with my small dog. We get to our room.. I lightly smells of smoke - even though there are no smoking signs all over the place. Okay, whatever. The room looked decent enough. The floors were linoleum but if you're not going to sweep it, might as well just have carpet. There were leaves and what looked like some type of moss that came off of someone's shoe on the floor and positioned as if it was swept partially under the bed.. We pulled off the top sheet to lay down and ONE LITTLE PIECE OF THAT MOSS STUFF WAS ON THE BED. Threw it on the ground and laid down.. The pillow smelt like smoke too. WTF! But it was light so I think it's just forever embedded in the room and linens. First thought, did they even wash this? They must have, right! Okay, I'm just tripping out. While we're on the topic of the bed I must say what a huge lack of bedding! There was that gross bed cover (which isn't even a comforter), the top sheet and one unfitted bed sheet. That was it! So yes, it was a cold night. We turned the AC off but didn't quite think to turn the heater on. I moved our car to the parking lot area we could see from our window. There were these two sketchy guys smoking out side when we arrived so I wanted to keep an eye on the car. I periodically looked out the window and from 6-9 one of the guys had left but the other was still outside walking back and forth smoking and talking on the phone. I was so paranoid I probably checked on the car 15 times through out that night. ':\ The bathroom itself was fine. Water worked well and was warm. The only thing is that a couple of the towels had hair strands like woven into it. While walking to the diner in the parking lot, one of the rooms next to us reeked of pot as we passed by. Heh. We kept hearing people walk around outside and stomp in the room above us. We just got bad luck there. Overall, yeah, we paid $70 something but I would gladly pay double and stay somewhere nice. All I wanted was a bed I could sleep in comfortably and I couldn't do that. It was cold, the bedding sucked and I felt itchy (though I'm sure that part was in my head), I kept hearing people, kept checking on my car because of that sketchy kid walking around. After driving for 8 hours I just wanted to sleep. I couldn't even get that. Also, I will gladly pay for my dog to stay at a hotel with me if it means it'll be cleaner. I know better next time. Some how using the words "upscale" and "Motel 6" in the same review seems a little strange. Motel 6 seems to be trying to move upscale. This motel is about 6 years old and located off I-5 in northern Roseburg in the middle of Oregon. You could put a Best Western or Comfort Inn sign on with out changing anything. My room was very large with two king beds and lots of room. The bath room was wonderful. WiFi free at this property (other Motel 6 charge $3.00 and it only worked for one computer), Coffee and tea 24 hours a day not just in the morning. Even though this is a upscale Motel 6 it still is BYOS, bring your own shampoo. read more

Slept just one night here. When we were trying to settle down and go to sleep, there were kids running up and down the hallway upstairs. They were doing that for about an hour when we decided to call the manager. After about a half hour of no change, I decided to go in the lobby and complain a second time. She ran to the elevator like her life depended on it, and said she'd handle it. They still stomped away upstairs and didn't stop until around 1 in the morning. In the morning, that's what woke me up; more stomping from upstairs. Besides not being able to get any sleep in this motel, it is the most unhomey environment I've ever experienced in a motel. No pictures on the wall, no carpet??, and stains on the bedding. When morning came, it was so bright in our room that we couldn't even sleep in. Also, it was bright during the night as well for the street lights outside were really bright and the curtain couldn't cover everything. For the price this is a great motel. We got here around 6 and there were still rooms available. But they filled up later so reservations are a good idea. It is more like a hotel with doors opening on central hallways. They offered free wifi and free coffee in the lobby. The window in our room opened, but didn't have a screen. The HVAC worked well. And the whole place is pergo hard wood so it felt much cleaner. The beds were comfortable but squeaky. The doors and walls were thin so bring earplugs if you need silence to sleep. I loved the tub. It's big and deep and the water was very hot. Bring your own shampoo, like all Motel 6s. Plus, best of all, there's a bottle opener in the bathroom. read more

It was either the Motel 6 or the Super 8 off of I-5. We took a chance and went right which turned out to be an excellent idea because Sherry's was in the parking lot of the Motel 6. We checked in well after one in the morning. The roommate got a discount for having his commercial driver's license. I got in trouble for saying "holy shitballs" after the clerk said Homeland Security must be doing an extra check on the roommate after running his credit card which apparently took longer then everyone else of the evening. The clerk said I would be out sleeping in the van if I continued to talk like that. I think he wanted to separate me from the herd. Too bad I fully believe in safety in numbers. The room was clean and large. Same for the bathroom. You do need to bring your own shampoo. The boys ended up using mine. The ice machine was right down the hall- perfect for our whiskey and Cokes. There was also a laundry room on our floor. You can easily hear people in the hallway. This almost caused a fight at three in the morning when a guy kept saying, "I got the ice!" and an older gentleman was not having it. He threatened to call the front desk. Heard it all. read more

My pups and I stayed here in late July 2012. It was a long, hot day on the road and we were all ready for a break. This Motel 6 was very clean and modern. The bed was super comfy and the AC worked wonders. We got a corner room which was quite handy for taking the pups out to use the spacious lawn area to go potty. The human bathroom was very clean and utilitarian. I ordered dinner through the Motel 6 at the Shari's next door for take-out. All Motel 6 properties are dog friendly, allowing two dogs up to 50 pounds for no extra charge. This is why I stay at Motel 6's so frequently. I felt very safe here. read more

I often stay at Motel 6 properties when I travel. That said, this one is very nice even compared to their other upgraded properties. I walked into the room and had trouble believing it was a Motel 6 because it was so much nicer then I expected it to be. The room was very clean with no cleaner smell. The bathroom was very nice - I liked the good-sized tub in the room. I was also surprised to find a microwave and a fridge in the room which was also nice! And the other huge plus - free wi-fi! We got a newly renovated room, with hardwood style linoleum flooring, which is really nice to walk on compared to old, dirty carpet. The room was clean and tidy. Great variety of channels on the TV. Good parking room for a car and small trailer. The woman at the check-in desk was super friendly! Alicia was bubbly and welcoming and she even called us once we settled into the room to make sure everything was okay. She definitely made this motel experience fantastic. The bad: no microwave or fridge. The walls are thin, but it wasn't distracting or annoying. The beds are springy and there are no fitted sheets, so the sheets came up easily, showing a who knows how old bed (kind of gross to think about). Also, this morning I found a yellow stain on the sheets I slept on under/near my pillow that we couldn't see in the dim lights of the night, but shown well when we opened the window shade. So that was really disturbing.... Overall, it's definitely a motel, but it's a great price for a decent room. We recommend it. read more

My complaint is not toward this particular location but the Motel 6 headquarters. They have charged me 3 times for one room where I stayed one night at this location. They charged me twice to begin with and then when I complained, they said I would get a credit but instead, they charged me a third time. I am so frustrated! We needed a room with 2 queen beds, the first hotel was a Best Western..they wanted $156 & some change for 1 night ( it was already after 10pm) I can't tell you how excited we were to find Motel 6, it looked nice & there was a 24 hour restaurant next door & a Dutch Bros across the street. The staff was very nice. It was very clean. That is why it gets a 2. There are no amenities the only thing in our room was 1/2 a roll on TP, towels, and 2 slivers of soap. If you want coffee in the morning, which is the only time you get it,hope you like it black because there is no sugar or creamer. You won't be charging your phone at bedside since the only plug in is across the room that way you can't use as a clock since there isn't one in the room. Bed lumpy, room hot and noisy, thermostat locked, fridge non existent. The fan and light is one same switch in the bathroom the fan is loud and doesn't work. Then I got a call at 2:00 in the morning asking who I was and when I check in. It's a motel 6 so some might say you get what you pay for. But I've stayed at other ones and I expect it to be clean. It's not. It's not renovated like some properties. Beds are super old and sink. Very uncomfortable. The staff if hit or miss. Some clerks are nice some aren't. The have bathtubs which is a plus. But carpets look like they haven't been cleaned in forever. Rooms are small and cramped. There was blood on the night stand by my bed. Awful to lay down and see that. Only plus is it's in a good area. read more

I decided to stop at the Motel 6 because of the ratings and the price, but I should have gone elsewhere. The lobby had a very unpleasant odor that they tried to mask with air fresheners to the point where it was making me queasy, but I was exhausted and the price was good so I decided to look beyond that. When I got to my room, the smell was much better, the room "looked" clean but upon further inspection the tub was filthy and the pillow case still smelled of the last guest, so I'm pretty sure they hadn't been changed. The mattresses had to be the cheapest ones that they could find because it was rock hard and I felt every spring. If that weren't bad enough, the walls were super thin so I heard every person who passed by and the roar of engines outside. Let me start by saying I'm not that picky about where I stay for 1 night when I show up late and leave early in the morning. All I want is a clean and quiet place to spend the night. There was an event going on in Eugene so every place to stay was inflated by like 350%. Not kidding. So we decided to stay an hour away to save money. Mistake. We walked into the hotel and I swear it smelled like a dispensary. And I have been in some. I am talking reeked. No big deal I kind of don't mind the smell. Riding the elevator up still reeking. Third floor. Same. Arrived at our room. I had to check to see if it was our room because the door looked open. I mean I could see through the edge of the door right to one of the beds inside. If someone was looking they could see you. Unacceptable. Almost declined the room. But I was tired and leaving early. The room was barely tolerable. I could see out into the hall from my bed. Geez. Started worrying about bedbugs because my wife was concerned but didn't want to look too close. No problem in the morning. Good thing because I was having shoulder surgery in the morning. I wasn't going to mention that at 3:30 in the morning 3 wild girls got off the elevator howling and they seemed like they were right in our room. Well that could happen anywhere. Very unfriendly receptionist that behaved like she was doing me a favor by booking 6 rooms for 3 weeks of work related travel. I knew better, but due to COVID-19 we can't bunk together so it's a budget issue. After 1 night of marginal cleanliness, no hand sanitizer in the lobby dispenser, I'll spend a little more and go elsewhere. Rooms are beat up and the whole place needs a thorough remodel. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and needed a place to rest on my way up to Springfield/Eugene. I'm staying here for three nights. The staff here is excellent and immediately take care of your needs. They even let me use a phone since my battery on my phone had quit. Chris, Kristen, and Bastion, in particular. You get what you pay for and this is obviously not a luxury hotel but if you're traveling either North or South on Interstate 5, I would highly recommend this motel. Fair prices as well and if you're 55 and over you receive a discounted rate. Five stars! read more

Tonight I am staying in this Motel 6. My wife made the reservation through hotels.com. Confirms again why I haven't stayed in one for 10 years. This 3 story place was constructed very poorly with cheap, badly fitted doors and windows. Every noise outside from the road or in the hallway or from neighboring rooms or the elevator comes into yours. The bathroom layout means that you can't go in or out at night without a bright light disturbing others. The tub/shower is small and awkward and the door, paint and sink and tub caulking is peeling. None of the compact fluorescent lighting in the unit is dimmable. The towels are thin and worn and cheap like the bedding. There is no refrigerator or microwave. The tv video quality is poor and the remote didn't work. The maintenance man couldn't fix it so the desk clerk did it. After dark several Harleys rode up with their bikes and stereos blasting for your enjoyment. Good luck with sleeping here. read more

This was my second experience with Motel 6 and I was very pleased this time around. Conveniently located off the freeway, you won't have any trouble finding it or getting to it either. There are a handful of places to eat nearby which is always a positive. This Motel 6 has a nice little fenced off area for their pet guests to run around in and hopefully cause a little less trouble in the rooms. This is definitely the place to bring your dog and stay, pretty much every guest here had a dog or too. Our room was large and clean and had a pretty nice bathroom as well. I even left my pillow in our room after we left and the staff was helpful in aiding our pillow retrieval. Great, affordable place to stay in a quaint little town in Oregon. read more
