So we arrived about an hour and half earlier than check-in and they accommodated our early check-in. Krystal was very friendly and pleasant. Upon getting to the room (#227), we noticed it was VERY dated and beat up. The cabinet doors under the sink were broken, hanging and unable to close. The cabinet where the fridge was was falling apart at the base and you could see the very damaged particle board (photos uploaded). It also looked like the carpet hadn't seen a vacuum in awhile, I mean a LONG while. Small debris was all over the floor and my toddlers feet turned black from walking on the carpet. The capper was the bathroom. There were no towels, the toilet paper rolls were empty and there were clumps of long black hair sticking to the shower wall. The room definitely was not cleaned that day. I advised the front desk and they said they would do a walk through of the room next to ours (#226) and when they were done, we could move our things into that room. Upon the walk through we moved our luggage into #226 and that's when we saw the overflowing trash can that hadn't been emptied from the last guests. It was obvious their cleaning staff doesn't care and makes no effort at all. I emptied the trash myself. The broken lamp shade and un-vacuumed floor definitely kept with the pattern of failure by the cleaning staff. The Wi-Fi didn't work well and kept dropping our Wi-Fi devices every few minutes. The pool is definitely NOT heated and there were no towels at the pool to dry off with. We had to go to the front desk and ask for towels. I was extremely disappointed with this Quality Inn and would never recommend this location to anyone (except maybe an enemy). I will never stay here again and I will be contacting their corporate headquarters regarding this property. BTW, the pictures of the exterior are very dated. The outside of the building is tangerine color now with white trim. I'm not even going to talk about the two tweakers staying in room 109... I got a room here and went to get something to eat and came back to our room. I went to use the bathroom and the toilet wouldn't quit running. I had to fix it from running. Turned on the TV and it didn't work. I went to plug in a medical device and the walls behind the nightstand and the floor behind it were gross. I went to the front desk and asked for my money back and the young man at the front desk called his manager. The manager told him to back there is a 24 hour no cancel policy and hung up on the young man. I ask him to call back the manager (Manjit Rai) and I would like to talk the her and she hung up again. 7/20/2017 Nice clean little motel. The King room was nice with lots of room and it was clean. Has a small refrigerator and microwave and a great air-conditioner. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was amazing considering this is just a hotel. They have A bigger breakfast selection than most places I have stayed. Eggs, link sausage and sausage patties, toast, muffins, donuts, waffles, and biscuits & Gravy. And much much more. Lots of coffee orange juice apple juice to drink. Everything was quite fresh and good. I give this place a good 3 1/2 stars and if it wasn't a bit overpriced for the rooms I probably would've gave them 4 stars. Still for a dog friendly hotel this was in bed. They do charge and extra 15 bucks if you have a dog. Most places I stay do not have this charge. After a full day of driving my kids and I stopped for the night in roseburg, made a reservation here and we're absolutely disgusted. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels/motels across the country and this is by far the worst hotel. When we first walked in, it had a funky smell. Shower looks like it hadnt been cleaned in ages.. if at all, the shower curtain was moldy and gross, the door looked to have been pried open at one point. I Thankfully I brought lysol spray and wipes. One of the beds had metal posts sticking out about 7 inches or so, but the dust ruffle draped over it.. my daughter and I both hit our shins on them, not realizing they were there. I happened to look up and notice that the smoke alarm was open, with no battery inside. The carpet trim wasnt even attached to the wall in the bedroom. We called AAA for a recommendation for a dog friendly hotel/motel in Roseburg and she said this would be the best place out of five that she emailed us. What a total shit hole!!!!! First off- the room smelled like cigarettes that was covered up by a heavy odor of febreze which made the cigarette smell worse! The bed and pillows are the very worst and you will hear every vehicle driving by like you had your window and door wide open. The room was still dirty upon checking in. We checked in late. Staff friendly & helpful. Unfortunately room 203 smelled awful. Someone had been smoking in the room and it was unbearable. We were in there for less than 5 minutes and all of our clothing and even my hair smells of smoke. Yuck. So we called and she switched us to another room. It was a pet friendly room right next to the lobby/office. It had the expected faint smell of pets but was clean and everything worked. Great hot shower, bed was comfortable and the fan drowned out the road noise. We tried 5 other hotels, all full on Saturday night in May. We lost power overnight and woke up to a hot room and a view of our car coated in ash from a newly lit forest fire. What was especially frustrating about this was that no one informed us of the fire, not even a note passed under the door, so we were frantically googling to see which direction we should flee. Our reservation included a hot breakfast in the lobby but, because of the power outage, hot breakfast was cancelled today. When I mentioned that we had already paid for the breakfast in our reservation, she pointed to two half-empty boxes of shelf-stable donuts and told me to help myself. This would, of course, be disappointing for anyone who had been expecting scrambled eggs or a pancakes, but what made it worse was the lack of care shown by staff. They could've at least put out some paper plates and napkins and some bottled water or juice, so I wouldn't have to carry 3 powdered donuts in my hand as I walked back to my room and tell my family. They also could have provided a healthier food option than pre-packaged gas station donuts. This wasn't such a big deal for me or my wife but we have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old and we're trying to teach our kids to make healthy food choices, especially for breakfast, but can't do that if donuts are the only option other than not eating. This is not the end of the world, but at the same time, I can't figure out why someone would only offer donuts when whole fruit like apples/oranges/bananas are cheaper and more nourishing, not to mention some sort of hotel credit/refund for the missing service. read more

Meh. I was honestly a bit dissatisfied and disappointed with my suite. There where stains on the walls and ceilings, the TV didn't work properly, the lamp by the bed didn't work, and the bathroom setup was wired. The light and fan in the bathroom are not separate switches, so if you just wanted to turn in the light, you got the loud AAAAAAAAAHHHHH of the fan. The kitchenette or whatever it's called was actually nice though. The bathroom was really dirty though, mold on the shower curtain, stains on the tub and walls, don't even ask me how there is HAIR on the CEILING! . Very basic hotel. Not updated in a long time. Rooms weren't dirty, but felt dingy. Breakfast was a non event. A few prepackaged items from Walmart, some of which were moldy. Orange juice, and the ever present waffle maker. That was it. Oh wait, there was instant oatmeal, but no bowls. We just needed a place to sleep for the night, and it got the job done, but certainly not worth coming back to. They do have wifi, but you have to ask for the password. Anthony and the other young guy at the front desk were super helpful.... even though they had no idea why those extra charges were on there. They had nothing to do with it. This is simply the worst hotel experience I have had in my life. The desk clerk was friendly and tried to be accommodating but I was sent not to one not two not three but four dirty rooms in a row. This included dirty bedspreads hair left in the sink and in the final room which was supposed to be their pet friendly suit , a bathroom that smelled like urine the way a New York subway smells like urine. When I asked for a refund the clerk said this was not possible because I had booked through bring Fido.com. I understand that times are tough due to Covid, but a hotel that cannot present a traveler with a clean room has zero right to be open. I felt it would have been unsafe to stay in any of these rooms. My wife and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Central Roseburg (427 NW Garden Valley Blvd.) on Aug 21. We have stayed at various Choice Hotels properties in the past and have been satisfied. We choose Choice Hotels because we travel with a small pet and many of the properties are pet friendly. This Quality Inn in Central Roseburg was disgusting. It is an older property so the rooms do not have an adequate number of electrical outlets. I sleep with a CPAP machine so I had to move the nightstand away from the wall to access the outlet. There was trash, debris and dust between the nightstand and the baseboard that obviously had not been cleaned in months. The fan switch in the bathroom was broken and there was not adequate ventilation in the bathroom. When I took a shower, the whole room got steamy and humid. The mirrors in the room got fogged up. There was extensive mold accumulation in the bathtub / shower. Worst of all, we were on the ground floor and the window had no latch or locking mechanism. It had obviously been broken previously and never replaced or repaired. We had to sleep in the room with no way of making it secure. We felt unsafe. Normally I would have requested a refund and gone elsewhere but we had traveled all day, were very tired and did not want to risk not being able to find another hotel. Under no circumstances will we ever stay at this hotel again, and most likely at any other Quality Inn ever again. read more

Horrible place to stay at, horrible!! The room they gave vus looked poorly cleaned. The bed sheets had coffee stains. The carpet was sooo dirty that the bottom of our feet turned black from walking around with no socks for a little bit. Thr WORST thing, they didn't clean our room, although the cleaning lady came in the morning as we are leaving, and asked if we need the room done. We said yes and explained that we would like our sheets replaced, and we need new towels. We came back at night to be surprised that the room was as we left it!! She didn't clean or even did the bed!! Completely unacceptable. The breakfast is limited due to covid-19 regulations, so you have to ask the receptionist to get you a yogurt or an apple from behind the counter, so not really a breakfast. read more

Nice clean property located just off the 5 freeway in Roseburg. My room was very large with plenty of room. There is a little road noise, but what can you expect with a location so near the highway. Front desk staff was wonderful and gave me good recommendation for a dinner. I travel between Pasadena CA, Portland OR and Seattle WA several times a year and this just became one of my places to rest my head. The hotel offers free high speed WiFi it is not wireless. The ethernet cable is located at the writing table. If your computer goes in sleep mode you will have to go through the user agreement each time. iPhone users beware there is no AT&T service for the iPhone wireless feature even though the signal strength is very good for the phone read more

I am in tears right now. It's 1am. I'm pregnant. My husband, dog and I have been driving for 12 hours. We're hungry & exhausted. I called about 10 hotels trying to find an available dog-friendly room and was HAPPY to take the one this low-budget dump offered me for $95 over the phone. When I got there, the kid behind the counter told me the room would be $103 because he forgot to tell me about the $10 pet deposit. First, 95 + 10 is not 103, but whatever. So, I discovered my drivers license is missing. He refuses to take my social security card or any of the 2 other IDs I have with my picture on it. My husband tried to reason with him while I sat in the car crying. He said he didn't want to lose his job if we tried to use a stolen credit card. Checked In late, found out from cleaning staff that the reason the first room I went into was booked already. I got lucky and the renters were gone but their belongings and trash were everywhere. So I slowly backed out. They put me in grave danger doing so checking me into a room that was already checked out to someone. Then we go to room 2, absolutely filthy, trash all over, bed not made, so I give them a third chance and I get checked into a room with a clogged toilet and oily hand prints all over. I've tried since my stay 05/26/2020 to get this fixed and they have no interest in helping their guests. I've had several employees say they will call back and never do. This was my WORST stay I've ever had in a hotel which says a lot as I travel very often. I tried to follow up with management with this hotel which doesn't exist, and woman upfront I finally got ahold of wouldn't give a name. So basically I paid to stay in a dump, my life was put at risk which is my largest concern. From the owner's daughter who kept bringing racism into the conversation I got nowhere. DO NOT STAY HERE! If you want to put your life at risk by getting checked into a room that's already checked out and stay in rooms that were barely cleaned (if at all) this dump of a hotel is for you. All I wanted was a refund for my horrible stay to give them a chance and I called over five times to get this point across to them. Still isn't clear to them as they are just money hungry and don't care about their guests. As for putting my life at risk I will follow up on making sure I get justice. We stayed in Roseburg for two nights because we were visiting Crater Lake and the Wildlife Safari. It was decent but nothing fancy. The room was clean and we had a lot of space. The washrooms were decent as well. One thing is that they could have provided a few more towels. The hotel is close to the highway but we did not hear any noise. On one night, however, one person was snoring very loudly in the room next door and we could hear it through the walls. The breakfast was just fine. There were eggs and sausages provided. I was disappointed that there were no waffles like other Choice Hotels that I've stayed in. The plug in internet was a bit slow. Parking was free. We landed at the Quality Inn in Roseburg on a long road trip from Seattle to northern Arizona. We were traveling with two greyhounds, so finding a pet-friendly motel was pivotal. We hesitated to make a reservation in advance since we were not sure how far we'd make it each day (weather was crappy along the entire West coast during December, especially in the Pacific Northwest) so we ended up calling the Quality Inn in Roseburg once we reached Eugene, OR. The desk agent let us know that they had a pet room available, and that she'd hold it for us. Once we arrived, we were pleased at how quick the check-in was, and the facilities upon first glance were clean and well-kept. Once we reached our room, we were even more impressed. Our pet room was not only quite spacious, it was clean, updated and free of any visible pet stains or smells. The greys immediately settled down on their beds (love Costco for pet beds) and we all had a great night's sleep before heading out the next morning. I've been staying at this hotel for many years when I visit Roseburg and it has been going down hill. The rooms are no longer cleaned properly and maintenance is poor. During my recent visit two of the lamps had burned out light bulbs. The front desk clerks that worked here in the past were so friendly and accommodating, I can't really say that is the case anymore. Just leaving this place and had to write a review. We came in late and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were pulling a boat and they gave us a great spot to park, drove around hoping to find somewhere that our boat and stuff inside would be safe and we found it. Have our cover on boat but nothing was messed with. My husband had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Stayed in a dog friendly room which was standard but clean and no smell of animals which was nice. Very quite and again the staff was great. Reasonable especially having our dog. Cost was 99.00 and worth it. I've book marked it and will stay again when traveling read more
