The outside is very unassuming but..... it is a gem inside. Food was good, fast, hot, and tasty. Salsa is fresh and service was speedy. Server was wonderfully polite and well versed. Carbs asada tacos are a must!!! Fajitas caught me off guard but tasty. The meat was chopped in with the vegetables. It was more like a casserole. I just know how to order them better next time. Ok, we need to talk. This mexican restaraunt? The best thing I have ever had. We come here like once a week and the servers know our order by heart. I got enchiladas and my boyfriend got tacos and they were amazing. I brought my baby cousins with me and the owner came out and gave them a bunch of candy. Had a very good experience here! They changed the name from El Nopal to Hola! but my server said it's the same ownership. They plan to make some changes to the menu. I was greeted by two very friendly employees and got a table right away. I never tried the restaurant before the name change; I can't compare to El Nopal. Chips, salsa, and drinks were brought quickly and tasty. I ordered the Al Pastor Burrito (seasoned pork mixed together with a variety of grilled vegetables) and it was excellent. It was served with rice and a side of lettuce, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The pico was not really seasoned, mostly diced tomatoes. Overall a very good experience at Hola, and a very good meal. This restaurant is central to my life. If I had a dollar for every time I mentioned this place around my friend group and then everyone responded with "oh man it's been a while we NEED to go there I am CRAVING that food" I'd be richer than Jeff Bezos. But jokes aside, their food is ALWAYS phenomenal and the service is always amazing. Their margs are good and I am in love with their queso. I've had so much off the menu and even things I thought I wouldn't like I've found myself enjoying too much. If I could eat here every week I absolutely would. Their prices are good for the amount of food you get and I've never left hungry or unsatisfied. This is truly the place to go and I pray to god that when I eventually move out of this town that I can find a place half as good because if I can't I will likely be depressed for life. Just not that good at all. The vibe was eager to please though. But everything just fell flat. Prices are cheap, but I would rather spend more money for a better experience and tastier food. Margarita was not homemade, taste like a premix. Food took FOREVER to come out. It was not a complicated order. Two taco salads and a order of carne asada tacos. We got full on chips and salsa. Our waiter forgot things that we ordered too. He seemed new and was trying really hard though. There was a lot of staff around so it seemed puzzling for such a bad experience. I'd say let a few of the staff go to save money and beef up the quality of service and food with training. Less items on menu to hone in on quality. Too many options. This might overwhelm the cook and patrons of restaurant, and you're wasting money. We don't need two full pages of food items. Also a drink menu? There wasn't any. A few signature drinks and make them home made. Also remove the selling of blow pops by the register for 50 cents. It seems too desperate for a buck. It's not the time or place. Quality should be over quantity. Case in point: the salads we ordered were full of chicken. Yes that's right, too much meat. Where's the experience of a salad? The ratio was way off. Also can we get a different lettuce other than iceberg? Trust me people will spend a little more money for tastier food and a better experience. With all of this said the carne asada tacos were delicious but you don't need the rice and beans to go with it (restaurant can save money or choose to give romaine over iceberg). Being from the Southwest, it's really hard to find really good Mexican food in Missouri (where I now live) It's all Mexican-ish. This restaurant was pretty good. For Missouri Mexican, I would give it five stars, for Arizona Mexican I would give it three. Hence my four star average. The Cheese enchiladas was five star no matter what state, but the rellano was stuffed with meat instead of cheese- it was good (not great) as well as were the tacos. A great little Mexican cantina in Eureka! Went in for dinner after a long, sweaty day at Six Flags and we were pleasantly surprised with the food and service. Owner was very friendly, and the fajita steak was very good. We both had the one with bacon mixed in (I forget what it's called) and it was very tasty. I'm not a huge fan of house salsas that have a lot of cumin, but it wasn't bad. Would go back for sure. Outdoor patio looked nice too. read more

This was some fantastic food. I ordered the steak fajitas alambre with no tortillas. After a long day at the local theme park, my boyfriend and I stopped in at 9 pm on a Saturday. We checked the local reviews and opted for Mexican over barbecue. The patio was still quite busy at this time, which I took to bode well (or they had cheap drinks). The service was great, the gentleman who waited on us was very friendly and engaging despite our less than desirable state of hygiene after being out in the sun all day. I got the impression that he was the owner. They were out of Pacifico beer so my boyfriend opted for a Tecate instead. I had so much leftover fajita, I got a to-go box. They actually forgot the tortilla shells and the owner personally delivered it to our house and gave us complementary chips and salsa and cheese dip. From the beginning our waitress had a short fuse and prioritized other customers. We ordered within 20 min, and it took over an hour to get our food. My daughter was served last which is unusual, usually kids are served first. The waitress barely visited and barely made eye contact with us. It felt like we were singled out to be profiled as stuck up. We had to ask the bar tender about correcting our drink and when the food would arrive. We also tried to flag down other wait staff but we were ignored the entire time. When the food did arrive the waitress spilled salsa all over my mother with no apology and it took her way longer than it should have to help her clean it up. She continued to not make eye contact or acknowledge my mom when she spoke to even thought they were in ear shot. Although we were extremely disappointed I did my part in cleaning up after ourselves and I finally got eye contact and a decent acknowledgement. But the time I go back to pick up the rest of it, what they forgot, the rest of our meal gets cold and soggy.
