Generally speaking, we weren't the easiest people to work with, and Mariusz (and team) were great. We had a siding contract that went south a number of years ago, so we had a lot more questions this time around, and we wanted a lot of specific info before making any commitments. Mariusz was very patient with us and reassuring, he was always available when needed, and informative. Just like with any contractor sometimes you need to be available when the actual work is being done in order to make sure things are completed to the standards you may have in mind. We had to follow up with Mariusz to finish some lesser priority items which was not a big deal, and there was damage to one of our shingles from their ladder. They did try to repair the damage, and finished everything promised. Holda services may be on the higher end of pricing, but it's worth it if you want the job done well, and the warranty is solid. We are very happy with how our house looks. I would recommend them, and already have to some of my neighbors. read more

We had a leak show up in a ceiling area and Mariusz responded quickly and took a look at the roof and siding and thoroughly explained what would be involved in the repair. The work was done a couple days later with high attention to detail and efficiency, even when it was more involved than originally expected. Once the siding was off for the repair, there were signs of more water damage and some rotted out areas. The wood was replaced / repaired and the area was properly sealed and channeled so that water would drain correctly when it rains. I feel much better that the repair has been done and have peace of mind for the next time a storm rolls through! Thank you for the prompt, excellent, and efficient work! Used Angie's List to get three roofing quotes and Holda Construction was the only one who would not give me a quote until they inspected both attics. They wanted to make sure that there wasn't any mold or surprises when they quoted the job. Mariusz and his time were prompt, careful and did a fantastic job. I had some questions after the job was finished and Mariusz came out first thing the next morning and walked the property to make sure I was happy with everything. We contacted Mariusz to reside our house. He was very responsive to our initial call and said that we should have an estimate shortly. After several weeks without any communication, we reached out again to see if the estimate was forthcoming. After almost a week, he contacted us and apologized for the delay adding that he was very busy with the recent storm damage in the area. We let him know that we understood, but we needed the numbers to secure financing for the project. He thanked us for working with him and that we should expect the estimate shortly. It's been another several weeks without any communication. I'm concerned that the lack of communication could extend to "what if we have an issue" scenario. Great process and work. I called and got a quick call back from the owner (Marrusz). I needed downspout repair for my house and sent him pictures via text. He replied, within the hour, with three options for repair/replacement. I chose replacement and Marrusz replied with a timeframe for repair, which ended up being within 5 days. I had contacted Holda to give me an estimate to replace my roof. A week after Mariusz was out to inspect the job, no estimate. I called him. "The estimate will be there by the end of the day". Nothing. I texted him the following day. "By the end of business"... Finally, at 11pm, I got the proposal. Over $1000 higher than 2 other contractors. If I had to keep contacting him JUST to get him to tell me how much of my money he wanted for the job, what would have happened if I had contracted with him? Mariusz and Holda Construction were wonderful to work with. We had a fairly large job that needed to be done: replace our roof and reside entire house in Hardie Board siding including rebuilding front porch and adding a beadboard ceiling. We have been getting estimates over the past year for this project and were targeting the Spring of 2017 to complete it. We had our initial choice of company lined up but decided to get a couple of fresh quotes in the spring to make sure we were still getting a competitive price. Mariusz stopped by and we were so impressed with his professionalism that we decided to go with Holda in the end. Pros: Mariusz was extremely attentive and stopped by several times as our design choices changed. He was easy to reach via text and email and never seemed bothered to quickly answer any questions. While this may seem standard, we were surprised how annoyed some of the competitors acted when we had follow-up and design questions. It was a significantly large project and Mariusz treated it that way. We had a couple of unorthodox design choices and Mariusz didn't blink at giving us exactly what we asked for. The roof installation team was quick and efficient. We have two small kids and appreciated that they took extra time doing the magnetic sweep for loose nails each day before they left. Roof looked great in the end. The siding team was exceptional. Hardie products are high quality and last a long time but it requires knowledge of proper installation technique. The installation team did an excellent job at being diligent to install the plank, shingles, and trim correctly. They were skilled at caulking and all joints were very clean. All the materials they used were high quality. The project took several weeks due to the weather and size of the job but they keep the materials and equipment very tidy around the house. Super friendly and hard working. Cons: Not many. They had a two-person crew for the siding but it likely would have gone faster with three. However, I'll take a smaller crew and a slower timeline if they are skilled and do a quality job. They were and they did! Holda does great work and will give you exactly what you want but if you aren't sure what design and colors you want they might not be as helpful as some other places with recommendations. Overall, I couldn't have been more happy with the professionalism, work crew, and quality of the craftsmanship. Are they going to be the cheapest quote? maybe..maybe not but if they are competitive I highly recommend going with them. read more

Mr. Holda was a pleasure to work with, extremely responsible, went out of his way to make sure any needed changes to the estimate were understood and agreed to by us. His workers were excellent. They cleaned up completely every day. Anything unusual needed like stacking materials in our circle drive was worked out with us. They worked long hours to complete the job as quickly as possible. Their craftsmanship was excellent. When our front light and doorbell didn't work after re-installation they fixed both even though I'm not sure it was their fault. During recent garage door replacement, the installer found the beam above the door was waterlogged and had to be replaced immediately. Of course, the aluminum trim around the door would also need to be replaced. I called Holda and explained the situation. He had someone come the very next day to assess the situation, and he was prepared to do the job. Turned out when the trim was removed, several boards were rotted and also had to be replaced before re-siding. He found the source of the leak, did the repair, and completed the trim around the door by the end of the day. Holda did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone. We had damage to our gutters and fascia on our garage after the big winter storm at the end of November. I called multiple places trying to find someone to come out and assess the damage and fix it. A number of places never brothered responding, and a couple actually set up appointments and then didn't show up. After hunting around for more places to call that were decently rated, I came across Holda Construction and I am so glad that I did. They called me back promptly to discuss and asked me to send pictures. After I sent photos, they got in touch and set up a time to come out for a quote within an hour, for the next day. Mariusz came out the next day, as promised (he even called to see if he could come a little earlier than scheduled) and assessed the situation. He explained the options and what his recommendation was- but there was no pressure to agree to the work on the spot- he just asked that I call and let him know if I wanted to move forward, His quote was extremely fair and better yet, he was able to start the work within the week. When I had questions on the contract he sent over, he immediately called to talk through them, and sent an updated quote the same day. The work took two days- the guys took care of everything, including a very thorough clean up- no debris to be found! And our new garage roof and gutters look great- and we now know that they have been properly installed, so we shouldn't have a repeat of the same issues we had experienced before. I wanted to replace siding, fascia, and soffits at my home, the gentleman came July 28, looked and told me he will give me an estimate soon. A week later no estimate so I sent an email reminding him that we are looking for the promised estimate, we were told he will give us an estimate ASAP. Now, close to 40 days later still no estimate. I thought maybe the project was too big for them, and they are used to small repairs...etc, Not sure.
