2018: Mariusz and his team provided exceptional customer service and quality products that ensure my roof and gutters will stand the test of time and weather. It's not easy finding and deciding on a contractor for most things. Mariusz brought to the table a straight forward approach as to what he could provide and that, in the end, everything was my call with no pressure. With a price in line with local averages, I could have asked for nothing more. *UPDATE* 2023: I once again had Mariusz and his team to my home for a project, this time being the siding. And once again, the result was PERFECT. The process of working with insurance took years but Holda Construction was extremely patient and didn't push the project. A call every couple weeks to see how I was and to let me know he was always ready when I was couldn't have been better. Mariusz made multiple trips to the house to help the process move along and was instrumental in getting us to where we are today. I would highly recommend taking Mariusz's advice on the things that could really change how you see your home. One major recommendation was to not simply side up to the windows but to put in BEAUTIFUL window borders that not only take the look of the finished project up 10 notches but sealed the home better than anything. The team Mariusz sent could not have been better. They tolerated an overwhelming amount of questions from me and walked me through everything that was being done. Not only did they finish the job but went above and beyond when we discovered 6 leaking, previously installed windows by someone else, were not installed nor sealed properly. They immediately removed the windows from my home and reinstalled them correctly and did so happily. THIS WAS NOT THEIR JOB! The team simply wanted to do the right thing and fixed someone else's mistakes so that my home could be at 100%! Here we are, 2 weeks later, and my home feels BRAND NEW. At the beginning of August this year there was a hail storm that ripped thru the West Ridge/West Rogers Park area that did a number on our roof and many other homes in the area. There were "ambulance chasers" in our area immediately soliciting business and offering $500.00 to put their sign in your yard as advertisement - NO THANK YOU!! I did my homework and found Holda Construction and reached out to them about our needs. From the moment that I spoke to them until the end of the project I KNEW that I picked the correct contractor to do the job. This isa family owned/operated business and you can tell how much they care about the task at hand as well as the happiness of their customers. I worked with Mariusz (President/Owner) and Carolyn the entire time and feltlike I was part of their family from the very first meeting. I never felt any pressure during the entire process and sought out their opinion on what would be best for our home. Mariusz was honest and told us what would work best and what wasn't really necessary if we didn't want to spend the money. He never tried to "sell us" anything! He answered all of our questions and was very patient with us during the entire process. We've never had to replace our roof, gutters and siding before (thank goodness) so it was a learning experience for my family and couldn't have asked for a better one. The crew that worked on our house was very prompt each morning and worked late each night - easily putting in 10 hours or more each day. I wasin no hurry for them to complete the job because it's the roof of the house and I wanted to make sure it was done properly and with care. Mariusz Holda and his company (Holda Construction) did a fantastic job! I found them on Angie's list and they did not disappoint. I had them redo my soffit, fascia, and replace the gutters around my entire house. They were on time, efficient, very professional, and did a great job cleaning up after the job was done. They did miss replacing the fascia over a small narrow spot above my back door and one of my windows but it was an easy spot to miss because of the location. When I pointed it out to them they quickly apologized and installed the missing piece w/in the week. They fixed the gutter on the front of my house so that the downspout now was draining in a better direction. I was so pleased with their work on the house, I hired them to replace the roof on my shed and garage. New gutters were also installed on the garage. Both jobs were done in the same timely, efficient manner, and again, they cleaned up after themselves well. I was most impressed with Mariusz's dedication to not only the quality of his work, but also the aesthetics. He saw the color choice I had picked for the garage gutters and took the time to tell me in the politest, most professional way possible that it was going to "stick out like a sore thumb" and that it would not look very good. He suggested a different color and I went w/his choice. I was glad I did; it looks fantastic and I can see he was right about the other color being wrong. Many other people wouldn't have cared if the color was going to look odd as long as they had their money. I appreciate the time he took to talk to me and to make sure that I would have gutters that not only worked well, but also ones that complimented the overall aesthetic of the house and garage. I cannot more highly recommend Holda for siding projects. On the Saturday before Easter, a small section of fascia detached from my house and was flapping in the wind. I called several different companies, without luck, before I saw the reviews for Holda. I called and easily got ahold of Mariusz. I sent him pictures of the damage on my house, he was able to assess what needed to be fixed, and we agreed that he would come out on Monday to make the necessary repairs. However, the winds picked up and more of the fascia detached from my house and was smacking against my siding and windows. Mariusz was awesome about coming out and helping that same day when I was concerned that more damage would be done to my property before I could have the fascia repaired. A member of his crew was here early on Monday morning to replace the piece of fascia and tack down the trim around my house. The crew member was timely, courteous, and thorough. I am super happy with the quality of the work, the customer service provided, and the cost of the project. I would use this company again without reservation. read more

Due to high winds in my area the past couple of days, some fascia had come loose on my home. I found Holda Construction on Angie's List and they were my first call. Mariusz was at my home within 2 hours to take a look and quoted a reasonable price for the repair on the spot. I decided to get a second opinion but it turns out that I was wasting my time with the second quote. Holda Construction was out the next day to replace the fascia and I'm thankful because a winter storm is happening today. Mariusz went above and beyond to get my business and his crew did great work at a reasonable price. I will also say I'm very impressed with the entire transaction as a guy who works in IT. Holda Construction is very tech savvy with their entire operation. I love the docusign that gets sent for the quote and payment was easy, made with the Square invoice that was emailed to me. I was a little hesitant at first to contact Holda Construction after seeing the large size and scope of the roofing, siding, gutter and downspout work described in their (all excellent!) reviews, given that the only work I needed was the replacement of a few wind-damaged pieces of aluminum fascia. After speaking with Mariucz, both by phone and during his personal visit to provide an estimate, I felt confident that my small job would be handled with the same quality and professionalism of any other Holda Construction project. Based on my great experience in working with Mariusz, I hired him to re-install a couple leaky windows, along with adding flashing in my gutters. Mariusz Holda and his experienced team were great to work with. We had a bay window on our 80-year-old house that had started to leak. Mariusz was able to come up with a solution that solved the leak issues by replacing the roof and siding to the bay, reconstructing the eave detail and also seamlessly matching the existing siding on the rest of the house. During construction they discovered extensive wood rot from water and carpenter ants. We needed to expand the scope of the project to address the structural issues that were uncovered. Their prices were fair, the team of carpenters was skilled and Mariusz was a pleasure to work with. The finished bay looks terrific and will likely last another 80 years. After getting a number of estimates I decided to hire Holda Construction. I appreciated all the time Mariusz spent explaining exactly how they would repair/replace the rotted wood and destroyed siding around my chimney and house where I had a deck removed. It was not a typical re-siding job and had lots of detail work. The job had a few glitches in the beginning, but Mariusz again took time helping me decide how we could complete the job so it would look best and I'd be satisfied with the outcome. Knowledgeable with excellent customer service and great prices We had Holda Const come out and give us an estimate to fix our rotted wood soffit a few weeks back. Around the same time we had a few other companies come out and give estimates. Holda was the only company that offered to do exactly what I asked (at a comparable price to their competitors) AND they gave me some other ideas that would help solve the issue for the long run. We discussed switching from wood to aluminum soffits to eliminate future rot, adding a downspout on the current gutters to reduce water damage where the rot was, amongst some other options. We needed seamless gutters for our house. The house is 50 years old. HOlda Construction took off the old gutters, which had numerous leaks, and put on the new gutters. The quality of the new gutters was excellent. The workmanship of the two installers was excellent. The gutters were carefully affixed to the fascia with screws, and were pitched correctly, so that the water flow would be correct.. The project was completed in one day. The representations made by Holda Construction were absolutely accurate. The price for this project was quite reasonable. I am glad that we chose Holda Construction for this project. Awesome siding contractor. This was our last and 5th estimate. Contact e-mail was answered same day. I was asked to download a measuring app, not being an app person I was thinking about bailing. The app was very easy and the app itself actually helped me walk through the process. Holda was attentive listening to our concerns and completed some custom trim work that made our Anderson bay window look brand new. We hired Holda to replace our gutters, soffit and fascia. Mariusz contacted us immediately after I left a message to request a quote, and met with us within the day. The work began just as the weather turned extremely bad (sub-zero temps and snow), but the crews missed only a few days. (We couldn't believe they were out there when they were.) The completed project is beautiful, the work is very well done. The workers were all extremely gracious and considerate, kept the work site very neat, and did an excellent job cleaning up. I could not be happier with Mariusz and his team. They worked very efficiently repairing my house.
