Such a gem! It's located on the side of the road and seems to be a local favorite. I ordered a Fifties burger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Standard burger but ingredients were fresh and the meat patty was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The only downside is they don't have fries. However, they do have a limited selection of chips. The owners are such a sweet couple. We had a long conversation and the customer service was exceptional! The prices are reasonable and the food is great. It's a simple place, ambiance is humble but the kitchen delivers exceptional burgers! Seating is limited if you choose to stay but as we waited we saw several vehicles come and go with their to-go orders. We were out fishing on the nearby creek when the weather took a dramatic turn for the worst. We decided this was the best time for lunch and found this place on Yelp. It's not hard to find, but it seems a little out of the way for the town. I suspect the locals enjoy it from time to time, though. The menu is very basic, burgers and tacos mostly. However, there are specials. We opted for the mushroom swiss burgers. You can choose a side of chips and a canned soda for the combo. It's a sold burger. They were grilled properly, juicy and flavorful. The mushrooms were nicely done and the earthy flavor was great. We hid from the rain in their small outdoor patio. It's really a place designed for "to-go" ordering, but the seating was perfect for two. read more

The Hole in One has probably the best burgers on the mountain but they do have a couple of problems they need to get ironed out, I just found out the hard way myself so I wanted to let people know. They do accept debit and credit cards now which is great, but they don't have a dedicated phone line for orders so if they're running transactions, which they pretty much always are, you're never going to be able to get thru on the phone. That being the case, I drove down there to get a burger (which is about 5-6 miles) to find out they had a 45 minute waiting list, as they aren't a huge restaurant and only have a few employees but for their location, they get absolutely swamped. If they were able to take phone orders that would be awesome so I wouldn't have to drive there and sit for 45 minutes, but the food is definitely worth it! read more

Wow, have to say I had one the best burgers I have had in a long time. Had the bacon cheese burger, $7.95. Hubby had the Ortega burger, $6.95. Mine was pretty perfect, Hubby was hoping his was spicer, but said it was good. They are mainly take out, only 2 tables outside. Great price and great food. For such a little shack, the food is delicious. Good prices for not having to drive all the way into town. And now they accept card! I've gotten the Ortega Jr burger and my husband always gets the mushroom and Swiss. We've tried a lot of the menu, and so far, it is all great food.
