July events!

What a fun place! Lots of outdoor seating (although we were there when it was too cold to sit outside) with fun events and live music scheduled almost daily (see photos). We had the slice roast beef sandwich and hamburger and they were delicious.

Came here for Sunday brunch. What a cute place! Lovely outdoor area with plenty of room. The food was awesome and I absolutely loved the pickle bloody Mary. The service was really friendly with the exception of the lady working the outdoor bar. She said that she didn't usually work mornings, which is probably smart. She should stay on evenings because she was pretty unwelcoming and blunt. Overall, I do recommend this place regardless of the one poor interaction.

Hubby & I were visiting the Show Low area with friends & we stopped in at The House on a Sunday for lunch. The place was packed with corn hole games being played, two ladies were providing live music on the stage & the staff were practically running around. Hubby ordered the Barn Burger plain on a gluten free bun (he has a severe dairy allergy) with fries. He didn't care for the gluten free bun but that was the only dairy free option they had so he tried it. He said the burger meat was cooked perfectly & had good flavor. One friend ordered the PB&J burger, but thought the meat could have been cooked more for her liking & said the green chili macaroni salad was one of her favorite things to have there. The other friend ordered the Double Dip Smashed Burger & he said it was absolutely delicious & really enjoyed it. I ordered the kid's chicken strips and fries. Sadly I think mine was the worse. The chicken was flavorless & kinda dry making the need for the ranch dressing an absolute must. No, I didn't complain as I said it was BUSY! And as we received our orders the line to order doubled in size. I'm sorry to say our experience was just okay & nothing to hurry back to the area for. Our friends mentioned they'd been coming here for years by themselves & whenever they wanted to share with friends & this time (1st time there this year) it was not up to their normal standards. If you're in the area give them a try maybe it'll be perfect for you!

Great service. Great Atmosphere. Fresh amazing food and drinks! The weather in Show Low is a perfect spot for this type of outdoor setting. The live band was a great touch, me and my girlfriends had a great time!

I visited Show Low at the request of my amazing realtor Stephanie White, who coincidentally sells the exact area I am looking for in a piece of land. She suggested meeting at The House and, being an out of towner, I obviously obliged! Not knowing what I should order, Stephanie "challenged" me to a get what the firefighters in town get. Being a recently retired firefighter, I HAD to accept that challenge and ordered the White Mountain Donut Burger! Of course I added bacon. It makes everything better! Yes, the Donut Burger is exactly how it sounds, everything you want in a burger between 2 round glazed donuts (although, I thought it was a single donut cut in half). Oh, it also comes with an egg in the burger, can't forget that part! When this thing arrived, I didn't know what to do with it!! What a delicious mess it appeared to be, which is what makes a good meal, great!! It truly was delicious, I didn't want to put it down, so I didn't! It was one of a kind masterpiece of a cheeseburger! The service and atmosphere were perfect for, not just the town, but for this customer. Having a great burger in this, not so small, town made the first impression a great one! The staff were all very helpful, happy and seemed like they loved working there! The House is a "must visit" if in Show Low and hopefully I will be a regular!

Great fries and presentation.

Very cool place with killer outdoor seating, Adirondack chairs, fire pits, outdoor stage with music. Honestly we were disappointed with the burgers, our expectations must have been too high. Bun fell apart which I hate. Bacon cheeseburger was pretty good. Huge patty but wanted it more cooked. Bacon was great but cheese was non existent. Fries were great. Green chile slaw was unique and very good.

Nice and bright!

I have mixed feelings about The House. We stayed in a bnb right across the restaurant last summer and enjoyed listening to different bands play in the evenings. We could almost tell which band was playing on a particular day by their repertoire of songs! Our bnb host graciously provided us with gift cards, so we finally used some to order a barn burger. It was good but pretty pricey (22 bucks including taxes for only one burger!). Ordered the huevos rancheros which was on the menu on Sundays, but the staff looked at us as if we were from the moon when we asked for it. It came out a gooey mess! We didn't want to give up on this place since it was right across the street from us, but every time hubby picks up our online orders, the staff would treat him like he was bothering them. The only person who was really kind to us, especially to our son, was Eli. My husband and son usually take evening walks after the restaurant closes. Eli saw them go by and turned on the festive lights outside the restaurant for them. :) We also attended the House's 10th yr. Anniversary and my 93 y.o. father-in-law had so much fun chatting it up with Chris Bennett, the radio personality. Things took a strange turn though when my in-law got lost in the crowd. My hubby got worried and started looking for him. A tall bouncer-type guy started giving him a hard time. Good thing he already located my in-law before this guy confronted him! The owner of the restaurant saw what was going on and tried to smooth things out, chatted with my hubby and in-law, and then walked away with the "bouncer".

PB&J bacon burger. Delicious but needs way more PB&J.

This place was great! So great, we went twice in one day…read more We came right at openings for breakfast and the clean, bright space and fun menu made us optimistic. I had the Holla Tots -- tater tots with ham, bacon, egg, and hollandaise. Delicious! I also ordered a Mangonada Mimosa which was so fun. We ended up coming back for lunch where I shared the turkey club and a BLT. It was packed at lunch but somehow still easy to find a spot to sit. This place has food and drink options to suit a lot of tastes, great staff, and plenty of seating in a cute space. The attention to detail is clear from the fun food and drink names to the decor (especially the bathroom) and the 3 or 4 kinds of ketchup. I wish they had one near me!

"Persnikkity's Food Offers a Lot: Hits the Hungry Spot"…read more Walking into Persnikkity in Show Low (which I have done many times from their old location to their new one), you immediately feel like you've stumbled onto something the town's been keeping to itself. The place has that lived-in charm where locals know each other's orders, and the staff treats you like you're part of the club from minute one. I've made the Asian chicken wrap and twisted beef Philly my reliable go-tos--they nail that balance of fresh and hearty that keeps pulling me back. The morning totchos are a brilliant mess of everything breakfast should be, the chicken and waffle hits that sweet-savory note without trying too hard, and even their bagel with salmon comes out like they actually care about it. The vanilla matcha bubble tea deserves its own mention because it tastes like someone put thought into it rather than just dumping powder into a cup. Service here makes the food taste even better--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. The vibe is casual enough that you can show up in whatever you're wearing, but the food quality makes it clear they're taking things seriously where it counts. It's the kind of spot where you find yourself coming back not just for one signature dish, but because the whole experience just works.

But this past year they've hired a new F&B manager, and they've really picked up their game. They have an extensive menu, with entrees like salmon, steak, chicken etc, along with burgers, sandwiches and great appetizers. We were there last night for their weekly Fiesta night which featured chicken tostadas, along with the regular menu. I tried the tostadas, which were excellent, and my wife the fish tacos, also very good. I don't think you can get a bad meal here, and it's not just for Torreon residents, but is open to the public. Enjoy!

The chicken leg was so raw it looked inedible and was a deep blood red color. I asked the waitress to take it back however she came back with the chicken and the statement of the Chef saying it was "cooked to temperature" and that he was a "3 time awarding chef". I was dissapointed by the chefs decisions and won't be coming back ever. The waitress apologized and removed the chicken off of our bill, the food and ambiance was good but the chefs decisions and really raw chicken ruined the experience.

A little advice: if you are going for breakfast, arrive early--especially on a weekend. Darbi's gets busy! But whether you are waiting for breakfast or lunch, trust me, it is worth it. The portions are enormous, the food is excellent, and this team clearly knows how to serve a crowd. They have the whole operation dialed in. The restaurant itself is adorable, full of personality, and has the kind of lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes a meal feel like part of the vacation. For lunch, Dan ordered the Monte Cristo, served on a French toast bun with raspberry compote for dipping. It was sweet, savory, crispy, and absolutely delicious. We shared it, of course! I ordered the green chile cheeseburger, and it was packed with flavor. Breakfast was a whole adventure. We ordered one cinnamon roll to share, not realizing it was approximately the size of four normal cinnamon rolls! We both laughed, cut ourselves a slice, and immediately asked for a box. It was warm, ooey-gooey perfection, loaded with cinnamon and butter and covered in cream cheese frosting. Honestly, it may have been the best cinnamon roll I have ever eaten. As though that were not enough, we had also ordered a side of bacon--four generous slices--and full breakfasts. We both chose the prime rib Benedict, and it was incredible. The eggs were large and beautifully colored, the English muffin was tender, the sauce was just right, and the hash browns had that perfect crispy crunch. Needless to say, we did not finish everything at either meal. Darbi's definitely believes in leftovers! The prices were very reasonable, and the waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming during both visits. Between the huge portions, creative dishes, fun atmosphere, and outstanding food, Darbi's is a must for breakfast or lunch in Pinetop. Seated outside and received our drinks quickly from our buss boy. My buddy went with an omelet hash browns extra crispy w/ pancakes and myself the sausage link with over medium eggs home fries and toast. Large portions force you to take food to make decisions, over indulge, leave it behind, or take it to go. Thankfully we elected to leave it behind though it was all extremely delicious! We were given our check with no rush to leave but the travel plans had just begun so it was perfect. On our way out we just missed a rush as there was a line out the door so our 9:30am arrival was fortunate and awesome though we had no idea it would be. Definitely worth a morning breakfast if you're in this area!
