Whenever we visit the Show Low/ Lakeside area we always come to The House. The food is always tasty and the outdoor area is super fun. Lots of cornhole available and they had a live band playing. My daughter got a hamburger, my son got the tacos, my wife got the brined chicken sandwich and I got the burger of the day with pineapple, bacon and jalapeños. We split an order of fries and all devoured our food. Service is always top notch. Appreciate all the beer options they have and we always save room for some ice cream from Red Barn. The House is definitely a must spot for our family! read more

I've been there twice before, but boy howdy I'd forgotten how amazing their burgers were! Not sure what it was called, but I had a double smash burger with grilled onions, fry sauce and double cheddar cheese. Asked for a side of house made raspberry jalapeno jelly. What a combo! Burger was cooked perfectly!!! Messy. And so worth it!!! My side was house chips. And do yourself a favor and ask for the red pepper aioli for dipping the chips in! Fantastic patio area too. Came here for Sunday brunch. What a cute place! Lovely outdoor area with plenty of room. The food was awesome and I absolutely loved the pickle bloody Mary. The service was really friendly with the exception of the lady working the outdoor bar. She said that she didn't usually work mornings, which is probably smart. She should stay on evenings because she was pretty unwelcoming and blunt. Overall, I do recommend this place regardless of the one poor interaction. read more

Hubby & I were visiting the Show Low area with friends & we stopped in at The House on a Sunday for lunch. The place was packed with corn hole games being played, two ladies were providing live music on the stage & the staff were practically running around. Hubby ordered the Barn Burger plain on a gluten free bun (he has a severe dairy allergy) with fries. He didn't care for the gluten free bun but that was the only dairy free option they had so he tried it. He said the burger meat was cooked perfectly & had good flavor. One friend ordered the PB&J burger, but thought the meat could have been cooked more for her liking & said the green chili macaroni salad was one of her favorite things to have there. The other friend ordered the Double Dip Smashed Burger & he said it was absolutely delicious & really enjoyed it. I ordered the kid's chicken strips and fries. Sadly I think mine was the worse. The chicken was flavorless & kinda dry making the need for the ranch dressing an absolute must. No, I didn't complain as I said it was BUSY! And as we received our orders the line to order doubled in size. I'm sorry to say our experience was just okay & nothing to hurry back to the area for. Our friends mentioned they'd been coming here for years by themselves & whenever they wanted to share with friends & this time (1st time there this year) it was not up to their normal standards. The house in Show Low was a super cute place with a wonderful outdoor atmosphere, live music headspace to enjoy. We went there on a Friday night to get some food to-go, and it was super busy. Even having ordered to-go, we still waited there for our food between 30 and 40 minutes. The wait probably would not have been that big of a deal for us, had we not had our two young children with us who cannot comfortably wait that long. Felt like a very long time to wait for food but they also were super busy, so we'll keep this in mind for the future. read more

My family and I went to the House both Friday 7/10 and Saturday 7/11. We have been to the House at least 10 times in the last 2 years to hear live music, relax and enjoy the summer nights. Unfortunately, the open area for cornhole and some occasional dancing has become a place that parents let their kids play tackle football, dodgeball with sandbags and running at full speed near families eating and relaxing. We have 3 kids and we are all for kids having a good time. Unfortunately, after we had a football spill a drink and knock a dinner off the table, it wasn't fun for us. Many adults frequent the House to relax and enjoy the environment. Both nights were neither for us.! We will not be returning. The House Management needs to get control of the situation. read more

I visited Show Low at the request of my amazing realtor Stephanie White, who coincidentally sells the exact area I am looking for in a piece of land. She suggested meeting at The House and, being an out of towner, I obviously obliged! Not knowing what I should order, Stephanie "challenged" me to a get what the firefighters in town get. Being a recently retired firefighter, I HAD to accept that challenge and ordered the White Mountain Donut Burger! Of course I added bacon. It makes everything better! Yes, the Donut Burger is exactly how it sounds, everything you want in a burger between 2 round glazed donuts (although, I thought it was a single donut cut in half). Oh, it also comes with an egg in the burger, can't forget that part! When this thing arrived, I didn't know what to do with it!! What a delicious mess it appeared to be, which is what makes a good meal, great!! It truly was delicious, I didn't want to put it down, so I didn't! It was one of a kind masterpiece of a cheeseburger! The service and atmosphere were perfect for, not just the town, but for this customer. Having a great burger in this, not so small, town made the first impression a great one! The staff were all very helpful, happy and seemed like they loved working there! We stopped in here for dinner. Super tiny interior but a ton of outdoor seating. I bet its poppin' in the summer. This is an order at the counter type place. Staff was friendly and helpful with options. They have burgers, sandwiches, salads and fries. I ordered the soup of the day which was taco and the Cooley and Clark salad. Hubby got the barn burger with fries. Staff brings out your order in to go containers which I thought was pretty genius. My soup was yummy like a tortilla soup and my salad had the perfect amount of dressing and toppings. Very satisfying. Hubby enjoyed his burger. Very cool place with killer outdoor seating, Adirondack chairs, fire pits, outdoor stage with music. Honestly we were disappointed with the burgers, our expectations must have been too high. Bun fell apart which I hate. Bacon cheeseburger was pretty good. Huge patty but wanted it more cooked. Bacon was great but cheese was non existent. Fries were great. The House is such an awesome vibe! Outdoor venue with excellent food, fire pits, music on some evenings and plenty of twinkle lights to set a grab a drink and stay awhile evening. There is a cute little sweet shop on site as well. One of favorites! read more

We tried to go here and had heard great things. My Wife has a shellfish allergy and they have one item of shellfish on the menu. The hostess was helpful with our questions about the shellfish being fried in the same oil as anything else fried, that's fair. Then asked about some other items and if they were cooked with shellfish and were told yes. Then asked what could be eaten at the restaurant and not be cross contaminated with shellfish and heard the manager give the employee an attitude and ask who's asking this and we were standing right there. The house has a little bit of everything: Live music, outdoor seating, large lawn with corn hole, an ice cream shop. It can be a nice family environment or a place to enjoy good music, but it's like going to an outdoor event. If you want quiet, peaceful this is not the place. We enjoyed the food, drinks and music on Thursday afternoon. The place was busy and the food took a while, but we did not mind. The staff was very friendly and the food was acceptable. I would definitely recommend this place for the live music and relaxed atmosphere. And yes, kids do run around, but that's part of the atmosphere. read more

I have mixed feelings about The House. We stayed in a bnb right across the restaurant last summer and enjoyed listening to different bands play in the evenings. We could almost tell which band was playing on a particular day by their repertoire of songs! Our bnb host graciously provided us with gift cards, so we finally used some to order a barn burger. It was good but pretty pricey (22 bucks including taxes for only one burger!). Ordered the huevos rancheros which was on the menu on Sundays, but the staff looked at us as if we were from the moon when we asked for it. It came out a gooey mess! We didn't want to give up on this place since it was right across the street from us, but every time hubby picks up our online orders, the staff would treat him like he was bothering them. The only person who was really kind to us, especially to our son, was Eli. My husband and son usually take evening walks after the restaurant closes. Eli saw them go by and turned on the festive lights outside the restaurant for them. :) We also attended the House's 10th yr. Anniversary and my 93 y.o. father-in-law had so much fun chatting it up with Chris Bennett, the radio personality. Things took a strange turn though when my in-law got lost in the crowd. My hubby got worried and started looking for him. A tall bouncer-type guy started giving him a hard time. Good thing he already located my in-law before this guy confronted him! We decided to stay in show low for the night on our way to Phoenix. I asked the lady at the front desk what's the best burger place in town and she told me the House. So that's where we went. We each got a different burger. I had the double smash burger. My daughter had the donut burger and my son had the PB&J burger. My smash burger and half of the donut burger my daughter gave me were both seasoned well and had a lot of flavors going on. The fries were good too. The appetizer we all shared was delicious but I don't know if I would get it again because we had just too much food. My son ate every bite of the PB&J burger and that's rare so he must've really liked it. I'm really glad we got to try this place as it is a great unique restaurant in the mountains. The service was good except you have to ask for plastic ware and napkins and ketchup. Instead of it being provided with our meal. Sodas were unlimited so that's cool. We sat outside on a chilly night but there are several outdoor heaters which kept us warm. I would come back here again but if I lived here I'd probably only eat here once in awhile because it's a little pricey but not outrageous. Also didn't like the way the food served because it seems like it can take awhile sometimes for the server to find what food goes where. Two thumbs up from me though. I liked it. read more

Went up north camping and fishing again this weekend....we decided to go in to town and hit up The House so I could check it off my list...it lived up to my expectations! The ambiance and vibe was excellent! Super chill and relaxing with fire features at the tables along with a few wood fire pits. The seating area outside is massive with a huge corn hole area. You order your food when you walk in and then take a number and sit wherever your heart desires. The food came out rather quickly for being busy as well. I got the Weekly Special which was a Hatch Green Chile Burger and a side or fries. The burger was seasoned and cook perfectly. I love it! My friend got the House burger with a side of Green Chile Mac Salad...also happy with it. On a scale of 1 to 10, if you're ever in Show Low....don't pass this opportunity up! Definitely worth a visit. The ambiance is charming and inviting, making it a great spot to hang out. You place your order with the cashier, during rush hours, the wait is about 20 minutes, which is pretty reasonable. The menu boasts a good selection of beer and delicious burgers. The bonfire shrimp was a standout--absolutely delicious! The cornballs were also quite good and worth trying. However, I was a bit disappointed with the prime rib, which was overcooked and chewy. One hiccup during our visit was that one item on our order came out incorrect. Oddly, we were charged to reorder the correct item, which seemed a bit off to me. Despite this, the staff was friendly and the overall experience was positive. They also offer live music and mixed drinks, adding to the lively atmosphere. This is a fun area. I didn't realize until we got there but this is a 4-in-1 experience. There was the restaurant, a bar in the back, sweets in another area, and an entertainment area with lots of corn hole available to play for free and (at least tonight) there was a stage with a live band. The ambiance was good vibes. It was definitely busy and pretty full and although you walk up to a counter and seat yourself we were able to find a picnic table for 5 in a great spot by corn hole. My family and I are not good at corn hole but we had fun. There were a lot of kids there hanging out. I have to say I was very disappointed because the whole reason I wanted to come to this restaurant was for the donut burger, but they ran out of donuts right before we got there. Still the burger had good flavor and the fries were good. The chicken strips were meh. I got one of their signature drinks the blueberry lavender something and a pickle shot. The drink was good. I wish the pickle shot was colder but it was still decent. Those two drinks were $18+ tip so a little steep I think. I would enjoy coming to this place again. read more

Dining here is like hanging out and having a BBQ in someone's backyard. I have had this place spotted out to visit for some time. The House has both indoor and outdoor seating. But if you are going to visit this place, you must hang out in the grassy area outside. Especially if it is a lovely day. They have plenty of patio games, tables and live entertainment that make this place family friendly. Here at the House, you get in line and order your food in the little shack out front. Then you find a picnic table to enjoy your meal when it is ready. The House has a food menu that consists of appetizers, burgers, salads, chicken and items for the kiddos. Because they are dog friendly, they even have a small menu for your pet. There is an outdoor bar for craft beers, wine and cocktails. The Yard is where all the fun is at. The House has corn hole boards lined up for play and will hosts tournaments from time to time. There are picnic tables all around the grassy area and fire pits for those chilly Show Low evenings. The House has a small stage set up for musicians to display their talent. Check out their website for the live entertainment schedule. If you are craving something sweet after your meal, walk over to the Red Barn next door for some homemade ice cream. I enjoyed my first experience here at The House. It is the perfect setup for a town in the White Mountains. I ordered their Hot Mess appetizer, chili, a sandwich and a beer. Everything was delicious and I enjoyed the community feel of this place. Our 2nd time here was Father's Day and they had a nice brunch menu (I believe they have it every Sunday). We ordered inside and the servers were nice and friendly. Sat outside and the shade from the umbrella helped to keep us cool enough in the heat. It was a pretty lively crowd and the hd a Bloody Mary bar, which we will try next time around. Been here more than a few times, but this last time was my favorite! I have always had rough weather when visiting The House so I've never been able to sit out side or hear the live music. This place does a great job creating a welcoming environment for groups and long visits. Stayed for a while and enjoyed some live music while beating the heat down south. My burger was somehow simultaneously burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Additionally there was no ketchup beyond the individual packets, a surprise for a place focused so heavily on burgers. Wait time was reasonable for a place this busy, and there was live music provided. But you also must self order: there is open seating and no dedicated waiters. read more

My wife and I wanted a hearty lunch since we fast in the morning. The House did not disappoint! Heads-up...the servings are huge! I could easily have split my daily special Gravy Burger with my wife, especially with the macaroni salad side order (which was absolutely amazing, like no other). Their fries and salads are so good. Their ranch is delicious! The property is amazing with a huge outdoor area seating. Pet friendly which so awesome! When we travel up to Showlow this is one of our favorite restaurants. Ambience - This place is relaxing yet offers some fun entertainment too. You can sit inside or outside. we enjoy sitting outside even when it was cold. They have heaters by the tables and it just felt more relaxing outside. Inside they have a few tables but outside there are several tables. They also have entertainment on some days. Service - Everyone is always super friendly. They are welcoming and always willing to answer any questions. Food - The food is consistently good some of our favorites are the hot mess and the corn fritters. My husband and my son always get burgers and they love them. They offer a full bar. I tried the pickle bloody Mary, which was made with pickle infused vodka. You can literally see the jug of vodka with the pickles submerged in it behind the bar. Absolutely loved it so I had two. They have a great variety of alcohol and drinks to choose from. On another occasion, I had hot chocolate with Baileys. It it was perfect because it was cold outside and kept me toasty. read more

It's my first time in Show Low and what a great first meal! The staff were so welcoming as soon as we walked in and the ambiance was so cute. The patio had Christmas lights and a bunch of heaters/fire to keep warm. I got the meltdown sandwich and it was so yum. The cheese,bread, and bacon ratio was perfect. The sourdough bread really takes this elevated BLT to the next level. The homemade chips came with my sandwich and were so crisp and salty.
