Second time ever eating Indian food! We went with knowledgeable friends who talked us through the menu. Everything was so good. At first the prices seemed a bit much but you got so much food. Leftovers were Just as good the next day. We were there on a non tourist Sat evening, party of six, seated immediately. So depending on when you go, your mileage may vary. Exactly what I was looking for as a vegan in from out of town wanting to get carry out from a local place. Very helpful over the phone about the options, and we went with enough food to last a few days (so far, so good). Two orders of samosas, two orders of naan, vegetable biryani, okra masala, pindi chole, dum aloo gobi and holi dal tadka have been treating us right. The tamarind chutney that goes with the samosas has been great on salads, too. The samosas were enormous, and I probably would have been happy simply ordering enough to last 2-3 days. That is how good they tasted. The entrees have been a nice mix of flavors, including decent heat on the biryani. The okra is good, and not something we usually order but did at the recommendation of the staff. Would not hesitate to order from again, and maybe we will for our last night in town. read more

Truly the worst "Indian food" of our lives. Truly the dishes tasted nothing like they should.

Ordered a bunch of food for take out, delivery was prompt and as promised, food was hot, unfortunately no plastic or plates came with it and it was a challenge since we are staying in a hotel, maybe we should have asked for it. Ordered pindi chana, good but not anywhere close to the real. Saag paneer was delicious, mutton was awesome but the yellow daal had no salt. Naans were excellent. Overall good food, definitely daal can use salt and butter chicken can be less sweet. read more

I can't recommend this place enough!! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Admittedly I do have a more Americanized palate so I do love the tikka masala and butter chicken, but let me tell you, they are both fabulous here! The ability to change the spice level of your dishes is wonderful. We also got the Holi 65 and chicken tikka, both were very good. The garlic naan was great too. Omgosh, this was an amazing restaurant. We had never been to an Indian restaurant, but the staff was helpful in helping us decide what to order. I also liked you could pick how spicy it would be. We picked a 2 out 5 and it was perfect for us. I also HIGHLY recommend the mango cheesecake for dessert. I may stop and pick up some extra pieces to take home. As I just wrote a review of an Indian cuisine restaurant in Albuquerque, I might as well review Holi in my own neighborhood. I have had several different dishes while my wife ALWAYS gets Chicken Tikka (not the adventurous one). The food here is OK to Good, somewhere in there. The first issue was that they didn't have the lentil chips that are common at many Indian restaurants, they had some sort of shrimp chips, that gave an initial air of cheapness. The food wasn't bad, the portions were decent, when we got it as takeout we thought the portions were small, so we decided if we were to eat there it would be in house as opposed to takeout. On a positive, the service has been excellent every time, the decor is very appealing as is the atmosphere. This restaurant probably suffers what our asian cuisine restaurant suffers from, a lack of competition, this drives up food quality when there is stiff competition in one's own cuisine. All that said, we're lucky to have at least one Indian cuisine restaurant in the area, so that god for Holi or there would be none. I definitely recommend people try Holi it's good, but with Covid19 in their rearview mirror they need to take that next step in order to be great. read more

Our experience was out of this world. We had a birthday dinner for my main man Jessie. We had a party of 13 and the service was immaculate. Our server was Yeskay and he was great. 10/10 service and the FOOD was EXCEPTIONAL. I should sent the beers back to the kitchen because the whole experience had me mesmerized. read more

A well-run business. food is always great and the staff are excellent. The menu has really good variety and I enjoy always being able to try new things. They do a good job of offering specials regularly and suggesting things I have not tried. Very low turnover on staff so easy to build long-term relationships and get to know them as friends. We rarely want to eat Indian(or for that matter Thai or Chinese) food when traveling just because we want to try more of the local kind of food than ethnic food. However when we came into town on Friday night, the places we wanted to try were not offering take out or were closed. Holi was close to our condo, so we decided to do take out and it turned out to be a great choice. The food was so impressive that we went over to dine in one night. This is a review of the food we consumed on take out as well as dine in. Their tandoori chicken is really good, the spice coating on the chicken is unique and very tasty. The tandoori chicken comes with atleast 6 pieces of tender, fall of the bone, perfectly cooked chicken. We tried their goat curry and goat dhaba curry - both the currys taste slightly different than what I had hoped for although still very very tasty. The goat pieces have few fatty and cartilage pieces in them - if you are not used to eating goat, the fatty and cartilage pieces are prized ones but of course not as prized as the pieces with marrow in it. My son loved their samosa's and samosa chaat. Their hakka noodles were just okay - too vinegary and the noodles were tad undercooked. Also the Holi 65 chicken was a bummer - it was more like flavorless chicken pakoda and I wouldnt recommend it at all. For dessert, we tried their gulab jamun and they were perfect - soft & bouncy, juicy with perfect amount of sweetness. I just wish they hadnt added the dried tutti-frutti pieces to it. My son had the mango lassi and loved it as well. Overall a wonderful restaurant to get real Indian food. Our waitress Tia was awesome and we loved being taken care by her. It was our very first time trying out Holi and it was phenomenal! There were so many options for vegetarians (me) and huge variety of meat options for my son. We ordered the Dahi Puri, Bang Bang Potatoes, Paneer Saag, Veggie Vindaloo, Surti Gotala, Butter Pan, Garlic pan, and Chicken Tikka Tandaori Dawat. Food was out of this world and service was some of the best I've had in a long time. There's so much to choose from that I swear I could eat here every night and not be tired. This place is amazing. We called ahead to ensure they were doing dine-in service, and they were. We were greeted immediately and sat at a booth of our choosing. Our waiter was Kevin who was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We ordered the samosa chaat and the lassoni gobi for appetizers - they did NOT disappoint. So delicious! We also ordered a mango lassi each and garlic naan. Also amazing. For our main course, I ordered the vegetable Frankie and my dad ordered the tandoori shrimp. Both cooked perfectly and seasoned presently. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Kevin even serenaded the restaurant with his guitar and voice. Amazing! Holi is a favorite of mine, when I lived in srb we'd go all the time. The inside is super cute, always clean, the service is pretty decent all the time. My fiancé is Pakistani, and when he would come to visit me in Florida we went here a few times together and he actually approves of this place. (Considering his family makes legit authentic Indian food, being from south East Asia not saying this isn't but ya know what I mean, I was nervous he would hate it) he said it was great though. The samosas are my personal favorite I can't even count how many I've eaten. I always ordered the Jalfrezi which changed its name to Kadai, with chicken. I've had this dish over 10 times and it's always perfect, but super spicy! So much flavor and the chicken is always juicy. He always ordered the chicken tikka the times he went with me and it was also amazing. Me and my family have tried a lot of the dishes here, and we've never had one complaint about anything, it's always the same and packed with the delicious Indian spices. Considering we were frequent customers we have a tried a bunch of different things, and have seen consistency the whole time. Some great ones are the gobi Manchurian, fried okra(app), vindaloo, tikka masala. Etc. Also can't forget about the naan, the garlic naan is the best! I typically don't write reviews either good or bad but I was compelled to write one. I had a delivery that was scheduled 12/23/21. My total order was around 285$. The following dishes were crappy Baingan Bhartha was spoilt. Dal tadka was completely burnt. Both chicken dishes vindaloo and butter chicken were not different from each other and were completely crappy. We ordered 2 of the same okra dishes but they were completely different to taste. One was okay other was completely sour. We had additional items that I can describe in detail but it does not matter about 90% of our dishes were inedible. I called the place and spoke to a manager and was told they would get back to me but did not hear. While I understand that folks doing work are human and can make mistakes but when 90% of the food u order is bad it says something. Anyways if u want real good Indian food this is not the place. Being a tourist place I understand the premium pricing which I don't have a problem paying but u expect quality which is simply not there.
