When a business chooses to publicly associate itself with a controversial political figure, it needs to understand that there will be consequences. You cannot expect everyone to simply separate the business from the politics when the business itself has chosen to make that association. Because of this decision, Goebel Farms has lost my business, my family's business, and the business of several of my friends. We will not be spending our money there anymore. This isn't about saying someone isn't entitled to their political beliefs. They absolutely are. But customers are equally entitled to decide where they spend their money and which businesses they want to support. Local businesses depend on their entire community and not just people who agree with them politically. When you choose to take a political stance publicly, you are also choosing to potentially alienate the people who don't share that stance. For me and the people close to me, that choice has been made very clear: our money will be spent elsewhere.
