I must say overall my experience here was positive but could have been better. The front desk staff was outstanding. They were courteous and accommodating. Gave a lot of helpful tips of navigating the city and good places to eat. I even had an accident while checking out and the front desk staff jumped into action to help be gather all my things that scatter all over the lobby. Let's start with the location of the Home2. It's centrally located to lots of restaurants and shopping and about a 10-15 minute drive to Augustus depend on where you are going. There is a lot of construction in the area and a hotel being built right next door do there is a lot of heavy machinery present but I was nuanced by any of the noise so that's a plus. The room was spacious and modern and semi clean. And I only say semi because the shower wasn't really that clean. There was some leftover hair in the shower from a previous guest. I did not love that at all. But luckily I only trust my cleaning and travel with cleaning supplies. The bed was hard, like park bench. LAWDDD if these hotel chains don't believe we care about the comfort of our beds, they are WRONGGG. I couldn't get comfortable to save my life and I was there for 4 whole days. The AC unit was spotty i.e. worked when it damn well pleased and I wasn't going to tell it anything different but it wasn't the quietest thing when it did decide to work. And you can hear the people walking above you, similar to living in apartment and you hear your neighbors walking about all day and night. I loved the tiny kitchen it was so cute. That area was spotless. Parking lot is too small for such a large hotel. And they have a large number of guest due to the heavy construction in the area.

But I overall found it a nice place to come home to after long work days. The front desk staff was probably half the reason why. All were friendly and helpful. Patara (I hope I'm spelling her name right) takes the cake. She was always the most excited to see us and ask how our day went. Great to see a friendly face every night after a hard day! She's so sweet.

It is what it is. I…read morebeats the pants out of staying in the barracks, but it ain't the Savoy. It is one of the old Army hotels that got privatized. Consequently it had all the charm that govt architecture has to give. The rooms are nice size, but the eco friendly ac means that they are only moderately cooler than outside. They do make an effort to have events for guests, many of whom are there for longer schools, and the laundry is free, which makes up for a lot. Between any of the barracks and this, stay here.

First - I'm pretty sure this is an old hospital. If it's not, then I would be shocked and ask the folks that designed it why they made it look like an old Army hospital. The front desk area is modern, but that's about the extent of the modernization. The hallway is creepy.....reminiscent of the movie "The Shining" (I was going to freak out if I'd seen twins standing in the hallway). The rooms are even designed in the same manner as a hospital room, even the bathroom. The rooms are equipped with fridge, stove and microwave, but I was too freaked out to eat anything in the room. My colleague even had the intestinal fortitude to go down to the "basement" in the elevator and said that it was likely a morgue in another life (drainage grates in the middle of the floor, wide hallway for the gurney, etc. The breakfast the next morning was even lacking - never been a fan of the "continental breakfast". Oh, and this lodging building is sort of off the beaten path, on a very poorly lit back road, at the bottom of a hill - total horror movie set up. Again, I get it that this is DoD lodging, but this is poor, even by their standards - I will NOT be back.

Anita Made This Stay Truly Memorable I recently stayed at…read morethe Residence Inn Augusta for a business trip, and overall the hotel checks all the right boxes -- the rooms are clean and comfortable, there's plenty of parking, and the location is incredibly convenient, especially for anyone with ties to the nearby hospital. It's exactly what you'd want from a business stay. But if I'm being honest, the thing that truly elevated this experience from a good stay to a great one was Anita. Her guest service is in a league of its own. From the moment I interacted with her, it was clear she genuinely cares about the people she's serving -- not in a scripted, going-through-the-motions kind of way, but in a way that feels warm, attentive, and completely authentic. She anticipated needs, made me feel genuinely welcomed, and brought a level of hospitality that you just don't come across every day. In the business travel world, hotels can start to blur together -- but staff like Anita are the reason you remember a place and choose to come back. She is a true asset to this property, and Residence Inn Augusta is lucky to have her. If you're in the Augusta area for work -- especially if you're near the hospital -- this is the place to stay. Clean rooms, great location, easy parking, and if you're fortunate enough to be helped by Anita, you're in for exceptional service. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip through.

BonVoy should be ashamed of charging that kind of price, especially in this economy. Seriously FU, we will not EVER stay at a Marriott while traveling with our beloved pet.

Now, it would have been way convenient for me to put out the "do not disturb" placard, but NOPE - there was not one. Very disappointing for a property that flies the Hyatt flag. Hyatt is a way better company than this property represented in our stay.
