They do not have any pork products other than a few frozen sausages. 95% of their meats are frozen, although they do keep a few beef items in the front display/refrigerated case. They sell mostly beef products, with a few items of lamb. I am very disappointed that they do not have pork: Pork shoulder, Boston butt, and St. Louis or baby back ribs. I have decided to go back to my previous "Go to" butcher - "Cracchiolo's" in Woodland - they have everything you need, none of it is frozen either. Buckhorn, you better step up your game, or you won't last! You lost a customer.

They have so many unique hard to find items. Where do I begin. The have local birria mix in a bottle from the 559 area. They had tortillas raspadas, unooked and also fried; if you have been to Jalisco, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I usually bring stacks and stacks whenever I go to Mexico. So blessed to have found this item here in town. Something that stood out was the cleanliness and the quality of the meets. If you've been to Del Valle and Superior, you know their gray colored, fly infested meat is guaranteed for some instant chorro. This place on the other hand was well lit, no sign of blood pools, red fresh clean meat. I really like this place. It's small, clean and has everything you need (except pan dulce). It reminds me of going to el buen gusto (la espiga) back in the 80s. This is my new spot. Definitely recommended!

I was charged for chicharron con carne, which is $14.99/lb. Carnitas is $12.99/lb. For the carnitas, my total should've been $14.42, not $16.64. I was charged $2.22 extra. That isn't much of a difference but it's the principle. The cashier should've known given that she was the one who got my order and rang me up. It wasn't busy at all, so there was no rush and no excuses. Never going there again. Update: just got home and went through the carnitas. This is the first time it has ever been THIS DRY. It's so dry I can't even rip it easily. Most of the 1.11 lbs of carnitas is like this. Today was definitely their off day because why is it so dry?

I did not get a photo of the Badda Bing Crepe, Pizza Crepe, or close up of Creole Pot Pie but that was mostly because we were so hungry could not wait to dive in. Their first time visiting our site, ~200 people sharing similar lunch break hours meant we ended up with a 45-60 minute wait for crepes (practically the entire allotted lunch hour). Pot pies were ready to go but smaller. Only 2 people staffing the truck, one taking orders and the other making orders (2 crepe skillets). Props to both ladies though for all the hard work. Hopefully if they do return it will flow better. I personally ordered the Creole Hash Pot Pie (andouille sausage, chicken, potatoes, onion, garlic, creole seasoning) and the NuFrita Crepe (chocolate, almond, hazelnut spread, bananas). Would have been better if the pot pie was given out first since it was already ready to serve, which would have also tided me over while waiting for the crepe. The guy who ordered the BBQ Burger Pot Pie was after my order and by then it was sold out to people who didn't want to wait for crepes. Oops. The pot pie was piping hot, hand held size, bigger than an empanada but a cute little pie mold. Flaky crust, wasn't too spicy for creole seasoning but not as filling as a crepe. The crepes were served in a paper cone, kind of Japanese style to bite rather than flat on a plate for cutting. The savory crepes looked good but I gave into my sweet tooth. The NuFrita crepe was rich, yummy, and plenty filling. I did finish it all! If strawberries were in season than that would have made it even more perfect! Next time I will stick to the crepes. Their menu items/ingredients change seasonally so that will be interesting to see. Prices were generally good for the portions.

I ordered myself a "roll of cinn" which was a crepe with cinnamon, sugar and a cream cheese frosting spread. The crepe was formed into a ice cream cone type shape, which was interesting. The flavor was less than satisfying. Similar to just eating a home oven baked pills hey cinnamon roll. I also ordered their sipping chocolate since it was a little chilly out. When I got it I was excited because it came with a toasted marshmallow. When I went to drink it I realized how thick it was. It was supposed to be cocoa powder, chunks of melted chocolate and dairy. The drink was comparable to drinking a cup of melted dark chocolate. I suppose that's why it was called sipping chocolate instead of hot chocolate. Overall would not recommend. Maybe their other crepe flavors have something more to offer.
