BEWARE- Do not go to Holistic Healing-- its a scam business. I. agree completely with Steve's review - I just had the exact same horrible experience with Holistic Healing in Valhalla , NY. 1 star is too good - they deserve a negative rating . I, too, bought a groupon and had a miserable time reaching them to make an appointment and finally , after weeks and leaving a strong voice mail message, Angie called me back and made an appointment with me. I put it into my calendar instantly and set reminders. When I went for my 5:15 pm appointment , the owner, Kim, ( in a very rinky dink depressing office) said I was too late and was a no show and basically called me a liar - said they never made or give 5:15 pm appointments . She was rude , and spoke like an uneducated truck driver from the bowels of the Bronx. ( nothing against truck drivers or the Bronx) After reading Steve's review- who I do not know- I believe they did this on purpose, probably because I left a sting, almost irate vm message after the 6th time I called to redeem the groupon. Ok. Here is an update. This was a Groupon Gift Purchase. I'm still not sure what has happened because the vendor nor Groupon told me. Even if it was a misunderstanding about the date if appointment, I'll never know. Regarding the vendor, the customer service was a three out of 10. No one every called me about my complaint last week. It took weeks for someone to call me back to make an appointment and weeks to schedule one. Way too much time wasted on three separate occasions where a reasonable professional response should have been provided (generally 24-48 hrs). I will say the service (massage) was outstanding with Kim and was exactly 50 minutes as promised. The issue of the complaint never came up by the vendor, I was never even asked if I liked the service. Due to that alone, I would not return though I was looking for a new therapist. Mine is retiring. What a shame my concern wasn't ever addressed. I have stayed with my last massage therapist for years. read more

There has been alot of bad feedback because of the whole groupon fiasco and deservedly so. Basically, it's a one person shop and if they sold 300+ groupons there is no way on earth the amount can be facilitated in a timely fashion. I also attempted to cancel my groupon but groupon did not allow it. After much work and several attempts I did arrange for a massage which ended up about three weeks from the time of my call. The person on the phone took my information as well as my cell and would text me as a reminder. That did not happen. I came into the massage with negative feeling because of all the issues and timing that was required to get an appointment. However, the massage was excellent and well done. The location is in an office building with plenty of parking and easy to locate using your GPS. You'll be asked to complete a form and indicate where you may have issues or problems physically. This was beneficial as the exact areas I stated were taken care of and worked with great care. The masseuse is Kim and she's friendly enough and professional. The massage table is high-end and motorized and can be adjusted in multiple positions to assist in the process. Be aware that the massage can get a bit strong at times so do not be afraid to ask for it to be softer but in my case it was perfect. I was given the full 50 minutes and felt great afterwards. The staff will attempt to sign you up for additional massages but for me I need someone to be available when I need them not in a week or longer. The massage was 5+ stars but unfortunately the business practices and timing get 1 star. read more

This organization is very poorly run. The vendor does not track its clients and doesn't remember talking with people. I indicated that I bought my second groupon for a massage with the vendor in a phone call a few days after purchasing it. They did not call me back for weeks! I called again, and said the same thing and indicated once again that I wanted to schedule a massage and had bought a groupon for the second time. No response. Finally called a third time and got the owner on the phone. We scheduled a massage (again after saying this was my second time using groupon to purchase one), and then the day of the massage it was cancelled because the masseuse was sick. A few more phone calls later we rescheduled it for February.. and I left work early, drove through nasty rain and fog for 40 mins and was refused the massage after all that. Very annoying, irritating, and not good business practices. I will not purchase from them again, and suggest you do not buy from Groupon as they cannot fulfill their groupons in a timely manner. I bought this groupon in NOVEMBER and only got it scheduled for FEBRUARY and then it didn't even happen! :( read more

I don't think this business deserves the rating it has on yelp. Many of the previous posts note that it is tough to get in contact with the business, especially if you are a Groupon customer. I got the groupon and was able to schedule an appt although it was 6 weeks from the day I called. Although that is a long wait time, it makes sense once you factor in that Kim only takes one new customer a day, since most of her clients are repeat, established customers. Maybe she shouldn't sell so many groupons? (IDK, business is business) In terms of the actual massage I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Kim is great at addressing the problem spots. For context, I'm a 6 ft tall dude with a semi athletic build and she had no problem destroying all the knots that I had troubles with. The massage was amazing, Kim did a great job and I strongly considered going back for a second session. However, I changed my mind after I intended to redeem a Groupon that was given to be as a gift. I had a problem finding it and I ended up paying for the massage out of pocket. Kim was irritated by the fact that I had a Groupon and it was a gifted Groupon. She continued to talk about how the Groupon should not be allowed to be gifted (well that's not my fault or my problem...talk to Groupon) I offered to pay for it and she still continued to have a nasty attitude saying I was delaying her and her customer (who had just walked in for his session) Kim is a great massage therapist, but she lacks people skills, especially towards Groupon customers. read more

This is a completely unprofessional business that went on Groupon offering a 50 minute massage. She's a one person operation. You have to wait 3-6 weeks for an appointment! I waited and she texted me the day before that my appointment was 11 AM. I went there (with gas that cost $4.49 a gallon) at 10:50AM to be sure and the door to the room was locked. I called her and she said that the appointment was for 12 Noon. I was unhappy with that answer but said I'll have to come back. I had planned my day to go a few different places and this threw me off. On the way home she called me again and said that my appointment was really at 1PM! That got me even madder in her lack of professionalism. She said " Ask Groupon for a refund...I will not put my hands on you". Completely PISSED for waiting weeks, going there and she's not there, then having her change the time three times and finally her rejecting me as a customer! read more

Don't get a Groupon for this business. They do not pick up the phone and you can't leave a message. I tried for three years to get an appointment. Groupon, on the other hand, is excellent. They provided credit for the non-expiring amount for the Groupon. When they say the face value never expires, they mean it. If you are looking for the greatest massage EVER, this is the place for you! The place is a bit odd upon arrival, located in a corporate building nestled behind a doorway unlike all of the other offices. But once inside, you are welcomed by their lovely receptionist/owner and showed into a cozy room with a fireplace. There is currently only one massuese, Kim, but she is AMAZING ! I get the fusion massage and it is combination of swedish and deep tissue and Kim somehow finds muscle aches you never even knew existed. A true talent and worth the several weeks it sometimes takes to get an appointment :) read more

Hello. I had purchased a Groupon Voucher for this business back in March of this year 2013. The business was so busy, that the woman who called me, I believe her name to be Kim, was so busy with these Groupons, that I could not book an appointment until around the time of my birthday which was in the month of June Technically, the Groupon value expired in April, but because of the over flow of clients booking, she was honoring the Groupon to extend past April. This call took place in the beginning of April and then life happened. I lost my phone and no longer had my calendar booked in my iPhone. I called the business around what I believed to be the date I had schedule for the massage. They told me I missed my appointment and they were not going to honor my Groupon. I told them I NEVER received a confirmation call for my appointment. They told me that the confirmation was made the day that Kim and I spoke on the phone over 5wks prior to my appointment. I asked to speak with Kim, the woman told me Kim did not need to discuss this matter with me I told them, I am in the beauty industry and how is it that they do not do confirmation calls?!?!!?!?!?! The woman was very unprofessional. The company took my money and never gave me customer care at all. Even after I explained my situation and what had happened and how sorry I was, they did not care, they were not going to accommodate me. Good luck to anyone trying to get appointment with Holistic Healing. I was trying to make an appointment using the Groupon my husband bought for me as a surprise. Essentially the answering machine states "leave a message and we'll get back to you." The response is not timely. When I did not receive a response after 2 days, I contacted Groupon and left a message on Holistic Healing's answering machine expressing my concerns. Not knowing this establishment, I was worried about the quality of the business. Kim did get back to me after these messages. We agreed that I should get a refund for the Groupon (not that easy as it was purchased last October): I have no interest in having a service as personal as a massage from Holistic Healing. If not, $39 is a relatively low cost life lesson. While the one other reviewer fstates this is "the greatest massage EVER" there are many other places in Westchester to get incredible massages and an appointment.
