    This was a very nice antique dining table

    If I could do a zero I would!! The entire story is too long to post, but the bottom line is just DON'T USE THEM! I paid a lot of $$ to have them move me to Wyoming. They either broke or 'lost' everything that I own. They have ignored my phone calls, emails and even a letter from an attorney requesting that they respond to the claim that I filed w/ them. Their 'insurance' obviously means nothing. Their statements about they'll 'take care of you' also obviously mean nothing. I'm sure Carl believes that because I'm out of state I can't do anything. Well, I may not be able to get anything done in CA, but I'm filing a complaint w/ the FMCSA and will write negative reviews on every possible site that I can find to keep them from doing this to anyone else! Shame on all of you at Hollister Moving and Storage for taking advantage of people at one of the most vulnerable and trying times!!

    I tried to support the local team with my move and greatly regret doing so. On the day of the move the team arrived short at least one planned laborer so they quickly found themselves behind schedule. It was a local move, so this led to a late start unloading at the new home. I ended up having to help unload and they still worked well past midnight. The team did not use any protective coverings, so there wasn't a corner or doorframe that wasn't scratched or needed repainting. They reassembled a bed incorrectly (which later collapsed when a house guest used it). When leaving they drug the lift gate of the truck down the driveway (causing gashes), drove through and damaged a retaining wall and irrigation system, then backed over the mailbox. The claims process took months and they low-balled the repairs claiming no need to fix the driveway since there were other blemishes on it. I've decided it's not worth my time to go to small claims court, but would highly discourage anyone from utilizing their services.

There were a few significant challenges on the move-in side to my 2nd story rental unit. Two 90" sofas were innovatively hoisted from the truck, up and over my balcony, through french doors, and into the living room...done and done. My dining room table includes two acrylic pedestals and a very heavy (and breakable) glass top. Crated and uncrated carefully, the crew took extra time and care to place the rug and assembled table precisely centered under the existing chandalier. As it would be difficult for me to make adjustments later, they far exceeded my expectation on this important (to me) task. I appreciated that my beds were set up, including bedding, all clothes in wardrobes were hung in the closets, and then those large boxes taken away. I was happy (and relieved) that my final cost came in slightly under estimate. I sensed that Leo and the team were carefully working on my behalf to reach this goal. In…read moreour move last week, the team of Cardinale was beyond a 10-star rating...pre-moving assistance; on time; within/below estimate; white glove performance (without the gloves); easy paperwork; not a scratch to the house or the furniture; securing sensitive/breakable items; BUT, most importantly, the 3-person team that literally did the heavy lifting (Sammy, Art and Leo P.) were the most courteous, friendly and thoughtful people that quietly went about their business and tasks. They definitely keep up the great reputation of Cardinale, in fact so much, that we have requested to have these 3 gentlemen to handle the 2nd part of our move (delivering the stored items to our new home at the end of July).

    South Bay Moving Systems overcharged us by over $4,000, violated their contractual delivery…read moreguarantee, charged for services we explicitly declined, and then completely ghosted us when we attempted to resolve the issues. We are now forced to dispute the charges through our credit card company and file complaints with federal regulators. What Went Wrong 1. Massive Billing Errors & Overcharges Original contract: $7,284.89 (later adjusted to $7,194.78 based on actual weight) They charged us $10,244.04 on July 25th - nearly $3,000 MORE than the entire contract amount Added an unauthorized $650 charge on July 27th for repacking services we explicitly declined via email Issued an incomplete refund of $6,509.08, leaving us overcharged by $1,575.18 They admitted to the billing errors but have not corrected them 2. Broken Delivery Guarantee Contract explicitly stated: "guaranteed delivery within 5-11 days from pickup." They delivered on day 12, forcing our family with two small children to sleep on air mattresses and eat takeout because we had no kitchen supplies. There was no apology, no compensation, and no accountability. 3. Complete Communication Breakdown Promised on pickup day (July 16th) that we'd receive delivery scheduling information Went completely silent between July 18-25 despite our calls As a family moving cross-country with small children, we had no idea when to expect our belongings Had to repeatedly call just to get vague "within 11 days" responses 4. Management Refuses to Respond After the billing disaster, I attempted to resolve directly with manager Justin Jenkins - who is the CEO's son. I have had to pro actively reach out to him every day for over two weeks and nothing has been. He promised to put me in touch with the CEO which has not happened. We are 2 months past the move and they still have our money. This was a challenging move with a…read moredifficult house to move out of and into, and the crew handled it professionally from start to finish. The team worked efficiently and packed the truck expertly--everything was secure, and nothing was broken or damaged, which really speaks to their care and experience. Toward the end of the move things did slow down a bit, but we were also coming up on nearly seven straight hours of work, so that was completely understandable. By the end, most of the large furniture items were placed inside the house as requested, and the majority of the boxes were left neatly in the garage, which will make unpacking fairly manageable. Overall, great service, strong work ethic, and a crew that clearly knows what they're doing. I would absolutely recommend Peninsula Pack and Move, especially for more complex moves.

I moved from an apartment to a furnished home only 15 minutes away. I supplied approximately $200 in moving materials, yet the move still took 7 hours and cost $1,200 (Paid Zelle to avoid another 5% added). In total, my move today (pictured here) was $1400, two boxes of kitchen supplies(as I again, am moving into a furnished home), my clothes, and my daughters room belongings. Two men = 14 hours of labor for this? The math is just not mathing for me. Billing also began before any actual moving started, which added to my frustration- they parked on the wrong street at said "arrival" time on paper. I move an average of 1-2 per year and I have never had service take this long nor be this expensive. I would not hire these movers simply because you can find people to give you a great service and work very efficiently.
