She was checking up on me constantly she even put my back massager on which I don't think any other Nail place is that on top of making sure their clients are receiving the absolute best experience. I will absolutely be coming back here. Lily did an amazing job. I believe that was her name I had called in right now to see what her name was to make sure she gets the credit that she deserves for being so kind to me. She was so kind. I had a horrible experience i this location. The technician was a liar and double charged me without even doing the job for my daughter. They are asking for Zelle payment so that you can't do anything after your transaction has been processed. Please be aware. She took advantage of my trust for this place that I've been going for the past 15 years and the manager facilitated the unethical behavior for her as well. The manger told me that these technicians are under 1099 therefore they can charge their own price !!!! How would a customer know that?! When I went back to address the issue, the manger was hiding despite my request to talk to her and the technician called police.I was not even talking to her due to her extremely low manners and lack of honesty. i knew police won't due anything as my husband is a sergeant and I know how things work, this was a business dispute and police wouldn't do anything about it. I was under the camera and she wasn't even able to accuse me of anything such as harassment or .... although she tried to take that route not knowing that police would look for footage of the cameras and I told them to pls do so! But police knew what was going on and who are they dealing with however please be careful with these people! They are capable of anything without even knowing how things work. Some low class, greedy technicians that are capable of doing anything for just $10-$20. I'm letting everyone know so that no one experiences what I had to deal with over a kid's manicure! a service that is for $15 she charged me $30 plus didn't even remove a single cuticle just did a horrible , lousy painting on her nails. I have been coming here for a number of years and highly recommend Amanda for pedicure and Lisa for manicure. Such kind and caring people and do an excellent job. The locations convenient and prices are not the most expensive in town. Lots of good options with OPI polish, gel and dip. I am the kind of person who isn't too creative with my nails and like the same thing almost every time. White gel pedicure lasts a good amount of time and my feet feel great after. They do continously try to upsell you throughout the experience. With just mani/pedi and a sub par massage, they are definitely the pricey side and with tips is like $240. I've been coming here for the past couple months and every time the experience is worse and worse. The final straw was getting a manicure from Clynn, genuinely the most rude and disrespectful experience. She tried upselling me multiple times throughout the entire process and made fun of me with her coworker assuming I didn't have any money to spend on her additives. She ignored me anytime I tried making conversation unless it was to ask me for a tip. In general, you'll be waiting a decent chunk of time before even being helped but that won't be communicated to you. I've sat there before for 45 minutes before being addressed. The work is sub par, will get the job done depending on who does it. But the customer service, the lack of effort in their services (massages and scrubs) , and the environment that they create makes you feel like a burden for being there. read more

A great spot for a mani-pedi -- stopped by for a friend's birthday and got a gel manicure and the 'Papmer' pedicure and it was SO. NICE. The technicians are super friendly and nice and the manager walked around to check on us and help answer any questions. The lotion and scrub for the pedicure was AMAZING, honestly one of the best I've ever gotten! They have such a cute selection of nail colors and were able to find the perfect match for gel nails when I selected a regular polish color. I can not in good faith recommend Holly and Hudson for a number of reasons. It seems like if you have a dedicated nail tech some people love it. However, after dropping in, being swindled to up charge SIXTY dollars for dip after refusing multiple times, the service being painful and not turning out well it's not worth it. In more detail: i came in for dip nails and toes. The toes were great. The nail tech insisted i do dip instead. After about 6 back and forths I said fine and at no point did she tell me it's a $60 up charge (which i only found out at checkout). She had such a hard time with the dip that she did about 5 layers, only to try (and fail) to sand it down. They were still thick in some areas and so thin in others that she had to do GEL ON TOP. It was so bad that even the pedicure technician was asking her what she was doing and trying to figure out how to help (only furthering my stress unfortunately) On top of it all, she did not do the massage guaranteed, cut my cuticles so bad my hands hurt to move and THEN asked me to Venmo her (rather than use a card?!). I should not have had to pay, much less tip for this god awful experience. read more

Overpriced, rushed service!! -- don't waste your time 1 day after, finger polish is already chipped! Made an appointment days before for me and a friend to get a mani/pedi. Sat us right away at our appointment time which was great. Gave me their color wheel, and the 2 colors I chose they were "out of." Had to chose another color and they decided to use a different color on my toes without confirming with me that it was fine. The girl doing my pedi, didn't offer to trim my toenails NOR did the girl who did my manicure. The gel manicure was rushed & feels super thin. She didn't ask me if the color was correct, then filed my nails after she painted them and left ripples on the top of my nails leaving them feeling rough. Pedicure....immediately stepping outside I looked down and my big toe was half smudged off. They quickly fixed it but honestly looks horrible (see picture). $83 later ... won't make another appointment here read more

I keep going here, it's always had issues here and there (rushing you, chipping within 5 minutes of leaving) but lately I've had nothing but bad. Gel polish that chips the very next day... something isn't right. Not to mention they are more expensive than surrounding nail salons, they don't have a good color selection, and they don't take their time applying. Once had acrylics removed here (they had also applied the acrylics) - and it was so painful the person who did the removal literally used a credit card to ply them off because she was in such a rush. I can't believe I went back after that... But the last one was really the last straw. Asked for a shimmer nude and they didn't do a nude base coat just the top coat x 2 layers - I said while she was doing it that it didn't look right so she added another layer and it looked like I had nothing on. Queenie always does a really good job doing my gel nails. She always has a smile and an eye for details. At the outset, let me say that I'm no stranger to nail care. I've had decades of acrylics and switched to gel only for the last few years. I've been going to the Newport Beach location for about 3-4 months, every 14-18 days. I know the process. Since I'm very busy, I generally book an appointment the night before, or morning of, with "available tech." I've had excellent service up until yesterday. My appointment was at 2 to remove old gel polish and to put on new gel polish. I was seated immediately, but the tech never actually got started until about 2:15. She started with the nail grinder, which is typical. Except that when she used it on the first nail there was a kickback [indicating her control wasn't good]. But this can happen, so I dismissed it. When it happened the 3rd time I asked her if she had much experience with it. I couldn't understand her answer. This "kickback" happened with at least 5 nails and each time the "kickback" damaged the end of the nail. By this time I was cringing in my seat, waiting for that grinder to rip my skin. was wearing a mask that day, which I normally don't. Good thing I was. Over the next 40-45 minutes she continually had my fingers in bowl of fluid and constantly was applying acetone, dipping in bowl of solution, applying acetone......... Never did she apply that sticky substance from a bottle to help remove the old gel after grinding off the first layer of old gel polish. The acetone smell was awful and she was getting nowhere getting the polish off. I did tell her I didn't want her to use the grinder anymore, but I assumed she'd use a file or that triangular scraper. No file. She really put heavy pressure on the scraper. By three oclock she finally had most of the old manicure off, along with the ends of my nails, requiring her to cut them down really short ad then even them to a somewhat standard length. By 3 PM she hadn't even started with gel polish which takes considerable time - and I was out of time. The fumes had really gotten to me. I told her to charge me for a manicure and put a clear coat on. I paid and left. A while later I called to complain....not to get my money back...but ask them why they, given their prices, would hire such an inexperienced person. I got nowhere - they weren't listening, or maybe didn't understand. They did offer to have me come back in and they'd fix it. I was out of time and my headache from the fumes was really bad. I had a migraine-like headache with nausea until the following evening from the fumes. There was no excuse for this. Management: you need to make your staff wear name tags. And you certainly need to hire experienced people. read more
