REALLY wish I had discovered Carrie and her shop before now when I am getting ready to move out of Orange County but ladies (and gents, I suppose...though I can't recommend it first hand) this is as good as it gets. You know you love your Waxer when you come all the way from Fresno just to be smooth and hair-free. Carrie is the best at what she does. She takes her time and makes sure that you leave satisfied. Those stubborn hairs that seem to come out of nowhere have no clue who they're messing with. Carrie rips them out with enough power to make them think twice about returning. Inevitably, they return but they have to deal with a fierce opponent in this mighty Waxer. One might even go as far as calling her the Goddess of hair removal. This wax shop is owned and operated by Carrie, who is friendly and skilled, however she gets all up in your business. She said that she mostly does men, so doing women is very easy for Carrie. But I think that because she's so used to doing men, that there seems to be a lack of personal space (even if it's for a Brazilian). So here's the pros and cons: Pro: 1. It's quick and over soon. 2. She's super friendly and chatty while doing the waxing. 3. It's cheaper than normal (40 bucks for a Brazilian, and even cheaper if you got the yelp deal). Con: 1. Almost too personal 2. Absolutely the best wax I've had in orange county. Carrie was so quick and thorough- I was done in about 10 minutes with the least amount of awkward repositioning. As for pain, minimal as far as these things go. I usually have a pretty prolonged reaction to a wax (several days of redness and rash) but Carrie's wax blend and skills have left me with hardly any irritation at all. Carrie is awesome! Need a little man-scaping at a good price, then this is the place fellas. She'll work with you on getting an appointment that works for you. I got a male brazilian done, not my first so i knew what to expect. Not many places in my area offer this service for men. Other places usually take an hour and charge a lot more. With Carrie it's about 30 minutes or less and $20 to $30 dollars cheaper . Her sessions are quick and as painless as she can make it. First session with her hurt only because it's been awhile since my last. Second session was completely painless. She's very nice and personable so there's no awkwardness. Carrie has been waxing me for the last two years. After another waxer flaked out on a number of occasions, I went waxer hunting again and was not happy about it! Two years later I couldn't be more happy. Carrie is patient and carring and is really great in what she does. Being a guy I was a little nervious, but Carrie is very cool and makes the whole experience pretty easy. Don't go there expecting to get anything more than a great waxing, and don't blow it for the guys that just want an honest service. Her prices are in line with others, but she is there on time, returns calls, is professional and knows what she's doing. My only complaint is a few less Fabio pictures on the walls and a few more Laker Girls..not that there is anything wrong with that! read more
