I stopped by Holly's Donuts with my dad and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. The woman working at the front (wearing a mask) was very rude and came across as annoyed when I asked simple questions. Customer service really sets the tone for a place, and this interaction made the visit uncomfortable. On top of that, the donuts themselves were subpar--nothing special in flavor or texture and definitely not worth going out of the way for. Holly's Donut Shop is on the southwest corner of Moorpark and Tujunga in Studio City, right next to Tujunga Village. Donuts are scrumptious. Croissants and bagels are delicious. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are fresh and plentiful. Coffee is hot and fresh. Prices are reasonable and fair. Service is fast and friendly. There's a nice little table and bench set outside if you want to sit down and have some fresh air while you munch. I've been coming here for years, and they never disappoint. This is a no frills donut shop but it's good. Classic assorted donuts. They're not greasy. At Holly's, I prefer their raised donuts to their cake donuts. Staff is friendly. The place is small and clean. I like their drip coffee. I mostly ask for their dark roast with a splash of the flavored brew (usually vanilla). I particularly like the fact that they serve everything for you. They pump the coffee out of the air pots. This cuts down on lots of hands touching them throughout the day. There is self service for the creamer, sugar and lids. I tried their Thai iced coffee and it was too sweet for me, but it was good. Simply don't like my coffee that sweet. I had a friend with me who ordered their Thai iced tea and they enjoyed it a lot. Limited parking in front. Street parking available. There are a couple of picnic style tables in front of Holly's to enjoy your donut and coffee. Bring a newspaper and you're your parents or grandparents. A classic, old school weekend tradition for those who grew up in the 70s and 80s. read more

I went here yesterday to pick up some breakfast for a few of us, 2 breakfast sandwiches with avocado, chocolate croissant and some juices. It took about 15 min to get to my destination. We open up the food get settled and my friend, who's been coming here for over a decade and orders the same thing all the time (breakfast sandwich with avocado) took a bite of his sandwich, the turkey bacon didn't tear off so a portion of it pulled out and as he was pulling away from the sandwich he noticed something black. We opened his sandwich up only to find rotted avocado slices that I PAID CHARGED EXTRA FOR!!!! The other sandwich was the same thing!! The avocados were black!! We were so disgusted and disappointed that a restaurant would serve this to their customers knowingly and charging them for it!! I called them immediately and took the sandwiches back to them along with the fresh squeeze orange juice which by then I didn't dare to try. I wanted her to look at the stuff she was serving and charging for, she barely took a glimpse and her excuse was, "you got this an hour ago" and "avocado turns like this when it's warm", I was taken a back by her response! I've been coming to Holly Donuts for over a year now. I come almost every week, sometimes multiple times and always order the same bagel sandwich and coffee. I loved this place, but today I didn't feel very welcome at all. I ordered my usual after being greeted by the cashier who helps customers in the front of the shop most of the time. After I paid and sat down, I assume they thought I had left because she went to the back and audibly complained about me and talked behind my back even though I was there and it really did hurt my feelings to hear.
