There's a skate park, an open grassy area, a full basketball court, a trail around the perimeter of the park for walking/running, a play ground for smaller children, and I believe I saw an area for BBQ. Sounds good doesn't it. Well what brought the quality of this park down was the bad kids that occupied nearly all the spaces I mentioned above. The high use of profanity, marijuana, and just some reckless behaviors changed everything for me about this park. A group of kids actually had a pistol out in the open, I don't know if it was real or not, but at this point it wasn't about to the activities one can enjoy but more like a safety concern now. Had it not been for the people, this park would of received at least 4 stars from me. I'm not into playing with the safety of my son, or my loved ones life. You won't find me here again.

Tonight's sunset is 7:15 p.m., so I figured they would close the park around 7:00 p.m. or so. My two year old and I walked about a mile to the park, arrived at 5:15 p.m., and found the park locked on 162nd. We figured it was probably open on the other side, so we walked into Hawthorne and around to 163rd, and found that it was also locked there, too. I called the city to find out what was happening with the hours, and they shared that new hours were being enforced where the park now closes at 5:00 p.m. That's great for nannies, but working parents will only have the option of using this park on the weekends. It's absolutely adorable! Wish we could have gone in!

They have a amazing fan that starts entertaining at 6 PM until the fireworks show starts. They have multiple food trucks with great food to experience and plenty of activities for the kids. There's two jumpers and you can play whatever sports you love in the grassy area. They also have a hill, and if you have a box, you can slide down it to your hearts joy.

CLINK , CLINK !! & one rock right into the face of LAHSA STAFF !!!!! The park employees continue to cut and sling rocks into the pain of my car , the machine got stuck and he still proceeded to bang it on the ground to what seems like to unclog the tool . I politely drove away not even addressing the gentlemen ! ( On several other occasions I have been asked politely to move ) I went to the office , asked to speak to someone in charge , simply about the damage to vehicle & the rocks slung in the LAHSA Employee . The gentleman asked me what was going I explained & he was immediately helpful . While speaking to the helpful gentleman, the 2 gentleman that were slinging rocks drove up in company truck aggressively ( SEVERAL WITNESSES, Adults accompanied by staff were standing there trying to figure out what's going on ) speaking to me through the window saying ( the older man) " we was gone blow it off you ain't have to do nothing " I replied . Listen you don't have to speak to me at all , please don't speak to me , he walked off with an attitude . The second younger gentleman with tan khaki suit with black LA HAT hopped out and said we was gone blow it off you ain't have to go and do no weird shit ! I stated I can do whatever I tf I want to do , he pulls up his pants becoming visibly hostile squaring up to fight a female , where his coworker had to pat him and try calming him down ! He say he's not going to argue with no female while I firming another coworker what he was about to do and who he was about to call . I told him you're at work supposed to be conducting yourself ina certain manner . I'm utilizing the park chilling you , you staging with someone utilizing your job !! What do the dead homies have to do with that . You were wrong !! I reached out to a MR. Basques whom is I believe in charge of grounds he took my statement and said he would investigate and call me back . I have yet to receive a call back . We came by to watch a Little League game a couple of weekends ago…read more This is a well maintained park with a nice playground area. The bleachers near the baseball field were typical of the other Redondo Beach parks...comfortable enough to sit on for a couple of hours. But no shade, so wear a hat and sunglasses. There was an enclosed senior center also. Didn't get to see inside, but it's a nice benefit for the residents.

This is a well kept park that's clean and inviting. Squirrels practically own these grounds. I would recommend coming here for an easy stroll or picnic or for anything park related activities.

It was an amazing day and perfect for a baby shower. There was hardly no one there. No disrespect at all but there was no thugs or transients hanging out. It was perfect for the children to play . In my opinion it was very safe just like it was in the 1970s. It's a great location for family reunions and gatherings especially if you want to save money on paying for venue. All in all a wonderful day was had at Ladera Park.
