Amazing, fantastic, incredible. It's a pet store but it's mostly dog items (which is why I love it since I have 2 dogs). They stock EVERYTHING for dogs and I think there is also a cat section. It's so much better for me than PetSmart or PetCo which are huge and it there is no help. This place, the staff is on point. They are like experts in every product, it's incredible. So smart, so nice, and very caring and helpful. I come here in tow with my 2 dogs and they let me browse around and answer all my nerdy pet questions with a smile. read more

I also feel like I am providing my fur babies with high quality food and items. Hollywood Feed offers free same day delivery on purchases over $50, which is super convenient. The self bathing stations are set up for you to either slip and fall or hurt your back. First of all there is only one mat in the entire room to keep you from slipping on the wet floor. I had to put down towels on the rest of the floor because it was so slippery. Second and to me the most important- I was told I was not allowed to use the force dryer on my dog in the tub. Meaning I had to take my senior age 60lbs wet dog out of the tub and lift her up onto their groom table to dry her. This wasn't easy! There are no stairs or ramp to the table and even lowered all the way down I had to help my old her onto the table (which resulted in me getting soaked). This is a dangerous situation for lots of reasons. Are they just requiring this because they don't want to have to clean extra hair out of the tub and drain? So instead they force people to move wet nervous dogs from tub to table ? Bad plan. Third they don't have aprons for their clients to wear while bathing their pets. That seems like a pretty standard thing to supply- every where else that has these bathing stations has them on hand so you don't get soaked. And 4th... Customer service... I asked an associate if they had larger sizes of a sweatshirt for my dog in the back and she was beyond rude to me. So much so I decided not to buy anything at all that day. Over all this was a very frustrating disappointing experience. I won't be returning. read more

The Smell. Yikes! I purchase dogfood at Hollywood Feed upon occasion when I need to shop close to my house. The layout is good, the products are reputable, the employees are nice. My issue is the smell inside the store. I don't know why the company thinks it's a good idea to mask the scent of dog food and cat food with that particular scent. I assume it's some kind of pumpkin spice scent. It is awful. There is a price for convenience: If I shop there I know that I will have to take a shower after I get home as the scent permeates everything. It is in my car, in my hair, on my clothes, and on my skin. I asked one of the employees there if it was possible to tone down the smell, and he shook his head and said no. We always stand by our promise. 'If your pet doesn't love it, or you don't love it, we'll gladly replace it or refund it." That's not the experience I had yesterday, I took back a defective toy and was told that they would not replace or refund that they could not warranty the toys. Great and healthy options for your fur babies but after constantly being asked if we needed assistance after finally needing it for a product of theirs, one of the long brown haired white employees just read the instructions to us as if we were slow and didn't already do that. And it was awkward silence then she asked if we knew how much our dog weighed then proceeded to try and help. Poor customer service, but great variety. I wanted to come back to get birthday supplies but I'm not sure if I would because of her. read more

I find the prices at Hollywood Feed are competitive and may be slightly higher in some things without too many discounts however I do enjoying shopping the store vs online to be able to see the quality first hand before purchasing. Go there like once or twice a week to get food and snacks for my dog. She loves it there and so do I! The staff are super helpful there. Recently, I tried out the self wash station after my dog got filthy playing in a creek. The self wash station was awesome, way easier than doing it at home. Someone in another review mentioned there was no apron, but I saw like 2 or 3 when I was there. I will definitely return between full grooming sessions! read more

I live in the Bay Area, Northern California where pet food stores abound. Yet the customer service, selection, and pricing at Hollywood Feed is unrivaled. I've been buying Acana Singles on a monthly basis, along with choice treats and toys, and even Fiestaware bowls! Everything that Hollywood Feed sells is of the highest quality, and they stand by their products. I recently had an issue with shipping, which was the fault of FedEx, not Hollywood Feed. Even so, Hollywood stood up and fixed the issue. Immediately! If you're a customer of Chewy or any other site, don't hesitate to switch. I did and I haven't looked back. When our veterinarian suggested that our older dog needed to be on a chicken and grain free diet, my son recommended Hollywood Feed. The staff is always so very helpful and knowledgeable about the different types of food that we could feed our dogs. The worst thing about visiting the store is that their great selection of treats causes me to spend more money and spoil our dogs more than I should. What a fun pet shop. I'll be honest,... I had no idea this franchise existed till they moved to the WF strip. Parking - Hollywood Feed is in the same area as WF, Chipotle, Zoe's, etc. The lot is HUGE but beware: there are so many cars at peak time, you may have to park further away. I'd come at a random time. Space - So, I thought HF was a small shop. Nope. It's HUGE. They really made sure to be space efficient. Very cool shop just to walk around and see what toys/food a pet would want. I only stopped by because of a small Xmas gift for a friend's pet, lol. Not sure if this is everyday - but behind the register, there are 2 dogs!!! They are sooooo cute. I'm allergic to dogs, so I couldn't pet them :( Service - Super nice girls who work there. I never write reviews but my experience was so great I had to! The girl assisting me (and all employees) were so pleasant and helpful. She helped me find the right collar and the right size; she spent like 20 minutes helping me pick out the right one. I showed her my other collar that was a gift when I got my pup that was too big/my dog had chewed. She told me about their lifetime guarantee and I got a new one for "free" and it was exactly what I was looking for. read more
