I'm always nervous trying a new salon.. however due to the fact that most salons are closed on Sunday provides limitations to where you can go. I had made an appointment for a different establishment and when I got there, they told me it would be 20 more minutes- isn't that what an appointment is for?! Anyhow I called Hollywood and they fit me right in. They had s nice selection of colors for my gel pedicure, and gave me one of the best pedicures I've had in a long time. Many salons currently nickel and dime you these days for any extra that used to be included in a generic pedicure.. not the case at Hollywood. I had a fantastic pedicure with a wonderful leg massage, all included in the price. They were clean, friendly, and accommodating. What more could you ask for?! Bonus that they are located right next to target in the Walmart plaza right near Brueggers. I will definitely be a repeat customer! read more

Received the Deluxe pedicure ($50) and regular polish manicure ($20). The pedicure was wonderful. My feet soaked in a warm jelly like substance as I sat in a massage chair. The person who worked on my appointment was great and my toenails came out beautifully. The manicure felt a little rushed and a little basic (it was just a cut and paint, no massage or hot towel like other manicures I have received). The manicure also came out great, though it chipped by the time I got home, but that was probably my fault (and regular polish just never lasts like gel). All in all I had a great experience and would definitely come back for the pedicure! read more

The technician would not cut my toenails short. I asked, but he refused. I've never had any technician refuse to do this - maybe he thought it would make me come back sooner, but I won't be back at all. Also, the nails are cut crooked and there's polish on my skin. Place should be shut down. I should have listened to the reviews but I was in the area and it was convenient. The only good thing was that it was quick but it's more like an amateur nail salon. Gel manicure chipped all over the DAY AFTER. You would have thought I just got regular polish. I went back the next day and they did fix it but the owner argued with me the whole time about how I should just get ANC which had nothing to do with why my GEL polish was chipping... so many things done wrong and the worst part is that I know for a fact my nails are still gonna chip soon. after all this, they ended up refunding me $15... but they should have given me all my money back tbh. 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE! read more

I got my nails done for my birthday and they did not turn out anything close going for I would've much rather them tell me that they could not do what I wanted and maybe find another nail salon. My nails look like they were press on's that don't fit my actual nail. I asked for a nude or a flesh tone to my actual nail for the design and my nails are pink, when I asked them to show me nudes he pulled out some thing that looked white and then told me to pick my nude from shades of pink, for me to have to settle on a pink and then from looking around the shop while my nails are getting done to find shades called naturals, but it was too late nails that already been dipped in the pink. I'm not designed looks horrendous, but this being a birthday present from somebody else I did not want to make a big deal. He also cut me with his drill, and told me it was because I was moving, I absolutely was not moving but also proceeded to continue to drill on the spot that he had cut me. The technician left my hands under the UV light for way too long, my fingers started burning , To top it all off these cost $55 and are absolutely not worth it, avoid this place read more

I went here recently to get ANC done on my nails and the service was terrible. I felt like the whole thing was rushed even though the nail salon was not very busy. After applying the ANC and filing my nails he didn't even have me wash my hands... Just put lotion on my hand and rubbed the crusty filing remains on to my arms. Not to mention my thumb was filed so hard by the skin it is now cut open and bleeding. Do NOT go here. read more

This place is the worst for a pedicure. They completed cutting, cleaning and cuticle removal in just few minutes. I felt like this person was in hurry to complete his work. He just ran nail smoother on top of one finger and no filer at all. He did massage the leg but completely ignored my foot(what's the point of a pedicure than). I went to relax myself however ended up being frustrated during whole process. Never going back to this place. Never again. read more

Well I used to come to the salon years ago, so I came to try it again. 30.00 for a pedi pretty standard. But my callouses are still on my feet, and my toes smudged. 9/28/19 update to business' response to my review: within 5 days, 6 of my nails have broken down to the nail bed due to this manicure for which they attempted to charge $35!!! NOTE: the business manager did not deny or address my account of what happened, the poor and nail damaging manicure, the salon's use of the same unsanatized buffers from customer to customer or her rude, passive-aggressive approach to my complaints when she knew the manicure was poorly done! Obviously, people like it and return there because they do not know any better. They never realize how the technicians keep all the tools on the table EXCEPT the bigger used buffer and have to take it out and put it right back in after using it.(Why not just leave it in the table and save the trouble if using it is legitimate?!) The business takes advantage of ppl's lack of knowledge about technique and the possible violation relating to the no reusing buffers on different customers.) The manager was absolutely shocked that I understand how it was suppose to be done and immediately understood her passive-aggressive attempts to deflect the poor service by blaming my nails and cuticles. A lot of salons in the area do poor work and do good business. This place is no exception. This salon would go out of business in a metropolitan area!!! DO NOT GO TI THIS PLACE! If it was possible, I would give this place negative stars. Manicurist 'sawed' my nails and did not know how to properly apply gel polish. The polish was very heavy in some areas and light in others, especially at the tips. My cuticles were not softened or cut sufficiently. His lack of technique caused little bumps that looked like crumbs in the polish. I could tell he was new and trying, but had to speak up about the bumps. He fixed 1 and a could see it in others. The manager began to fix it. When I complained about the work, she said my nails were wavy instead of the polish being uneven and requested I SHOW her what was wrong with the technique used (even though she was sitting there fixing the mistakes.) When I mentioned that my cuticles had not been well done, which she could seemy, she asked me if I had a lot of them, to imply that it was my fault that the removal was inadequate. I asked if adequate removal was required regardless of the amount and she said yes... which basically means she was deflecting their poor service by blaming the condition of my nails. I refused to pay full price and she wanted to take a picture with her cell phone, which I would not allow. Within 2 days, 3 of my fingernails split at the nail bed level because if the way my nails were filed and the polish at the tips was coming off. THE WORSE THING IS THAT THEY REFUSE BUFFERS ON CUSTOMERS! they bring individually packaged, small buffers, use them a little, then take the bigger, used buffers out of the drawers. The one used on my nails had nail polish stains on it so I know it was previously used and not sanitized. I paid them $20 for a job not worth $.20. read more

I went here two weeks ago to get my nails done for my anniversary that weekend in Las Vegas. I wanted a full set, almond shape, and was hoping to get a chrome color. I showed the man who 'greeted' me an inspiration picture to which he just replied "no" and handed me ANC color wheels instead. I figured that maybe it was just the chrome that wasn't doable which I could understand so I picked black and he proceeded to begin. He said he would put a tip on the one nail I had that was broken to which I replied that I'd like tips on all of my nails for extra length and I specifically said I wanted an almond shape. Not only did he not give me any additional tips or length, he made my nails thick, rounded, and utterly horrible looking. He didn't trim my cuticles, the ANC didn't even cover my entire nail, and it was uneven and splotchy looking with bits of black on my cuticles and around my nail that I couldn't remove. I was so upset when I left and I removed them all the next morning on my way to Vegas and had them redone by an actual professional at the resort. It seemed like they had a stream of regular clients coming in when I was there so perhaps it isn't always awful but the nail tech I had just didn't care at all. The first photo was taken after I left this salon and the second is from the fantastic manicure I received in Vegas. They should use this as inspiration for what they should strive to provide to their clients because what they're currently doing is unacceptable. This place doesn't even deserve the one star I'm giving them, or the money I wasted on the two separate occasions that I graced them with my presence. The first time I went I had to tell the nail technician just before he went to airbrush my nails that nearly every one of my nails was crooked. And even after he "fixed" it, they still weren't entirely straight when I got home. Not to mention the fact that within days nearly all of them were lifting and I just ended up ripping them off myself. The second time was today, and I went in for a pedi and a polish change on my fingers. I ask, "how much for a polish change on my fingers with the pedicure?", the technician doesn't know what I'm asking so she turns to the person next to her who responds "$31 all together". So I ask, "how much is the pedicure alone?" and he says "$35". Because THAT really makes sense! I gave up pursuing that topic after that, because it was an entirely different technician who took over the nail polishing, of which I could (and did) do a better job myself at home. He proceeded to attempt to make my already short nails "square" and just in turn made them look crooked and weird. And when he didn't know what I was saying when I asked him to fix it, I ended up having to file my OWN nails with HIS file. What did I even pay for? I just finished repainting all 10 fingers and toes myself because of the thick, bubbly polish job I walked out with. Don't waste your time or money!! read more

I come here pretty frequently. I am actually surprised that some of these other reviews are so terrible! I am a repeat customer. Hollywood Nails is the only place that I will go to get my eyebrows waxed. They do an incredible job, and it's consistent! I've also had my nails done here, and always come out feeling like new! I wish I had read the reviews before I stopped in to get tips put on and a pedicure. First, The decor and layout leave a lot to be desired. Home Depot must have had a sale on Pepto-Bismol colored paint. There is a lot of clutter and it looks like the whole room could use a good cleaning. I had wait with my feet soaking for a half an hour while the two technicians worked on two other people. If they had told me it would be that long, I would have went somewhere else. The technician did an adequate job on my pedicure, but I had to ask him twice to ease up during the massage. It hurt! Tips were put on haphazardly and crooked. No hand and arm massage, but the technician did plop a huge glob of lotion on my hands and tell me to do it. I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I stopped in to have my nails filled while my car was getting new tires. I thought i'd try a new salon, Opps. Let's call him smokey the texting tech was the man doing my nails. As he started doing my nails he starts texting, I ask if I should get a magazine while he's busy, he stops texting for about 15 minutes and starts textng again REALLY!! AH he's finally done with my nails and I go wash my hands to find him gone when I return to the nail station. Oh there he is he's returning from outside having a smoke break (yes in the middle of doing my nails like the texting wasn't bad enough) I'd like to pay for the nails now and go " you not get your color yet" I can't spend an other minute in this salon you may need a break between nail coats. I came in for ANC. Ended up here because the place I usually go was short staffed and had a long wait. There was no wait when I got there. Only 3 other people in the place. The place definitely needs an update. Equipment is old and the place is not the cleanest. The person who worked on my nails did a decent job and worked quickly. My nail already cracked and I went less than a week ago. Usually my ANC lasts for at least 2 weeks without cracking. Can't comment on any other services they have but I am not that impressed with my ANC. read more

I was home for the weekend and my friend and I wanted a pedicure to relax. This was NOT that place, I will never go here again. The service was beyond awful. Not only did the guy cough all over the place without covering his mouth, I also watched him blow his nose into the sink and wash his hands without soap. The pedicure I received was by far the worst ever. Not only do I have band aids all over my feet from the guy who went a little to hard on my calluses with that razor thing, but i watched him just rinse it with water (no soap or disinfectant) and use the same one on my friend. Sadly, I should have read the reviews of this place before going. It would have saved me money and probably a co-pay for the antibiotics I'll need for my foot. read more
