I had to write a review for them! I can't thank them enough for everything they did to make my spouse happy on her birthday! Evan and Nancy went above and beyond to make the last-minute arrangements for me so that we can surprise my then-pregnant wife with a Spa Pedicure and Manicure on her very special birthday! Evan was so nice to talk to and work with. I went there two days ago with my request and he was so friendly and helpful! I have never seen customer service like this before! Nancy was not even scheduled to start working at that time but she was so so so so nice to agree to come early for her! This was the happiest my wife has ever been on her birthday! I can not thank you enough guys! My wife and her mother are now a customer for their manicure/pedicure needs. Their work is amazing. My wife always only wanted to work with her natural nails and these guys are perfect for the job! She went there again for her maternity shoot and baby shower too. Now, let us talk about massages. I'd been having issues with my hip flexors going into spasm -- unexpected, excruciating, and I'd suddenly lose the ability to stand on that leg. I called The Ivy Spa because they said they did therapeutic massage. I explained what I needed, and got set up with Christian for a deep tissue massage. He was phenomenal. He found every knot and kinked muscle, and patiently worked it until it released all its tension. He was very gentle, but not at all timid. He used as much force as necessary but not more, unlike some deep tissue massages I've had elsewhere that felt good at the time but left me with bruises. He even told me the names of the muscles he worked on, so I could look up stretches for them. The spa is in a lovely building, with a very welcoming seating area. The massage tables are high quality, solidly built tables that are heated! I'd never had a heated massage table before, and it really helps the muscles relax. I went for a package that included a prenatal massage. They advertise prenatal massages and I made sure to tell them before I went. I'm 36 weeks. The massage table was not suited for pregnant women. They just had a pillow on top that was not deep enough for my belly. My baby is in the 40th percentile so not big at all. I had to lay on my side for the whole massage which was quite uncomfortable. The massage therapist also seemed to not be experienced in prenatal massage which didn't make me feel confident. It was more of a rub not a massage. I would never be back or recommend for prenatal work. read more

Just had a wonderful couples message with my girlfriend. The ladies at the Ivy never cease to amaze me. They provide a relaxed and comfortable environment. You truly feel like a wanted customer every visit. The business is a converted home and they have made it look great and it almost feels like you are getting a massage right in your own bedroom. My shoulders are a MESS, and I had a really wonderful deep tissue massage with Lacey today that has helped a lot. The spa has a spacious parking lot and an easy location on Route 4, right off the 90. I was warmly welcomed at the desk and filled out very brief paperwork. Lacey helped me pick out an essential oil to mix with my lotion - a nice personal touch. I like how the Ivy seems to be a cute house redone as a spa. My massage room was on the first floor and was perfectly warm with gentle music. The building was very quiet and it was really relaxing. Lacey was able to really get into all my tight spots, which is nearly impossible. I asked for a VERY deep tissue massage, and I got it. I almost cried, which is exactly what I needed. They gave me water before and after which is always a thoughtful touch. I like it so much that I am going back Friday! I was able to get in for a pedicure the same day I called. They have late hours available so I was able to make it after work for their last appointment at 645. Their nail polish selection isn't huge but they do have a relatively small range of colors to choose from. The girl I worked with was very friendly and professional. (I can't recall her name right now) Like I said, I was her last appointment of the day and I didn't feel rushed at all and she a beautiful job. The atmosphere is nice, small and quiet. Potential to do one pedicure and one manicure at the same time if both nail technicians are in. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Was here for the first time this weekend with my boyfriend for a couple's massage. I had gotten him a gift certificate last birthday and now finally this birthday we rolled around to using it--hey what can I say, we are a busy people. So, let me begin with saying it's not Kimberly's with the plush robes, huge sofas, bigger than my own house sized waiting area (and that's just downstairs). This is a small, house turned spa location with a local feel, small rooms, but it's cozy and yet offering the same services as your big name spas in the area but for a fraction of the cost. Grant it for the extra cost you get to borrow the plus robe for your appt, but you wear it for a total of 10 minutes and then have to give it back and yet you spend about another 50-100$ more in your bill than a small place like this. Inside, small rooms including check in and waiting without only a total of 3 seats between the two rooms. Upstairs massage room was small and cozy. All the colors were warm neutrals and it was very clean inside so it was a nice feel still. Our massage therapists Jamie and sadly can't remember the other girls name, can give a super massage. I can certainly say I asked for deep tissue and I got it! The girls were friendly, let us kind of run the show as far as if we wanted it quiet or to have casual conversation, and asked us about our needs (i.e. any areas to pay attention to, etc). I have been seeing Lexi for about six months for waxing and she is fantastic. I never experience any burning, irritation, or bleeding. I have very sensitive skin and am always amazed at the work Lexi does. I also had a facial with Lexi. It was heaven. It was my first facial and it will not be my last. I went on a weeknight and the next day at work, my coworkers said I was glowing. I could definitely see the difference in my skin. It was amazing . I recently had at pedicure with Nancy. She is awesome and her work is fantastic. My feet have NEVER looked better. She took her time and really worked them. She is a very personable and funny person. This is my new pedi place. It costs a little more for services, but they are so worth it. You will never go back to a chain nail salon for any service after experiencing The Ivy. read more

Two friends and I went to The Ivy Spa to kick off a 40th birthday celebration. We each got a Swedish massage and pedicure; due to shortage of massage therapists that weekend, two got a treatment while the other started with a pedicure. For massages we had Krissy (sp?) and Lacey-we were not disappointed. They were professional, personable, and thorough. Niya, our pedicurist was awesome. At one point all 3 of us were in the private room with her and she didn't even blink. She was also a perfectionist with her work. Front reception was very accommodating and kind. First of all, I don't know what happened to customer service in this world, but one of the first things the receptionist said to me was that she needed my credit card to charge me in case I don't show up. Talk about off-putting. Thanks for that. I am glad that charging me in case I don't show is your number one priority. Lame. Aside from that I really needed a massage and was curious about this place. The man that greeted me was very sweet, the interior is nice, I was hopeful. My therapist seemed sweet, but then she would not stop talking, she talked through the ENTIRE massage! Not only that, she was working my shoulder blade bone like it was a knot. Her technique was absolutely awful. She didn't want to be there and she put all that careless energy into my body. What really irritates me now that I think about it, when our time was up, she just shot out there like a rat on meth. She couldn't wait to get out of there, after talking my ear off about HER problems. This was entirely my fault though for not telling her to shut up, but really. I don't know how this woman has a license to perform a healing service. I will never ever go here again. I hope my experience was just an off day for this woman, but the more I think about the spa credit card policy, the more I just hate this place. read more

I paid Ivy spa a visit Saturday morning 10/1/2016. I've been to the soap before but had a different Massage Therapist. First I'd like to say how much I enjoy the company of the front desk! Very personable and accommodating! The facility itself is very up to date, clean, warm and inviting! My Therapists name is Maria. She was absolutely bar far the best massage experience I've ever had. I require deep tissue massage and she really gets it!!! She really understands what it's like to have a problem with your lower back. She listens and is very effective! I decided to go to this location because it had pretty good reviews and it was close to my house. Needless to say, it was definitely a waste of money. I went to get my whole body waxed and she missed half of the hair. And everything else that she couldnt remove she told me to shave... Ive been to many other spas to get waxed and no other location has had a problem. I hate shaving, it causes the hair follicle to grow faster. It was very upsetting that I paid close to $150 to get half a wax done, and be told to shave the rest.. I would never recommend anyone to go back. Made 2 apointments for microdermabrasion for me and my spouse. I go monthly for these treatments but was in this area for 6 weeks so I booked the appointment here. The treatment was not my usually experience and I have used 4 different spas for this treatment and by far this was the experience that lacked the most. I paid about the same for the treatment, but the difference was the service. The entire treatment was completed in about 15 minutes. Normally, my past experiences with the treatments last for about 40 minutes and include a neck massage, hand and arm massage with lotion, face cleansing, and a facial massage with moisturizer. The only service I received at the Ivy Spa was the microdermabrasion, and moisturizer quickly applied. The following month I booked the same treatment at Signatures day spa, right down the road from the Ivy and Mary gave me a top notch experience, and the cost was less! Mary provided me with a relaxing experience and I will be back each month for my next microdermabrasion. The services and experiences between these two spas were night and day. By far, Mary at Signatures was the best facialist. I highly recommend her. I would not return to the Ivy because the service and value was lacking. read more
