I'm so disappointed with this place ! I went on Thursday and I did a pedicure and a manicure, I was there for 4 hours !!!! Workers were just sitting there sleeping! I took them 2 hours to even help me , the place was empty! After I was done I went home to get ready for work at work I realize my nails polish is already coming off from both my pedicure and manicure, so of course I call them they said to come in they will fix it so I go in the next day and they charged be 40 bucks !? It's so outrageous! I also decided to wax my underarms it's been a few days since I waxed them, they burned my underarms they have numerous of burn marks on both of them. Im only giving this place 3 stars. I would give it less but I love Kim the owner and Amy and Mandy. I've been a loyal customer for about ten years now. The last time I came here I had a really bad experience. A girl named Jenny did my gel manicure. Not gonna get into too much detail but basically a lot of the lint from the pillows they put for my hands to rest on, got on my polish while the girl was doing my manicure. She tried removing the lint with one of the cuticle removers which made a few little holes on the polish so it looked like my freshly polished nail had been poked with a toothpick. I asked her a few times to fix it and she just kept putting more nail polish over the lint and holes and eventually ignored me and walked away. Kim came and put more layers of polish on it. Honestly I was so disappointed I just left it alone, paid and left. I have tried finding good nail places in sun valley, No Ho, Burbank area and all these places suck so Hollywood Nails had been my go to place but after so many times of things like this happening, I'm just fed up and I'm not gonna deal with their drama anymore. I'm done. Today I tried Al Nail Spa on Magnolia and Buena Vista and they did THE best job on my nails anyone has ever done so it's officially my new place. I'm very picky with nails and was scared to do it at a random place but I was desperate and it was the only place that had time . When I walked in I didn't see any good reviews so I was just praying that I got someone good and surely I did . The place is a bit old and at first they were arguing as to who should do my nails lollll I was literally watching an argument but I was in no rush and just waited. Finally Amy was the chosen one . Amy is very detailed to her work and took her time . She was very nice to suggestions I was making to her and not once did she give attitude or talk in her language like other places. Pedi was excellent . My picture might not be too good but sunny did an awesome job on my fill . I didn't even look at him when he was doing it . He was a bit rough but I handled it . He was quick and knew what he was doing . He was very nice didn't talk much but I was into a movie they were showing so I didn't care . Overall sunney and Amy were awesome . My friend and I went on a Thursday for a Gel manicure and a full set. We waited so long and were asked several times what we wanted yet no one was helping us. We saw as others walked in and were helped immediately. I am specifically reviewing my gel manicure. She was trying to do it so fast that she cut my cuticle twice and four days later its now started chipping! I am so disappointed. She didn't even clean my nails or put lotion at the end. To get started I do not write yelp reviews but I honestly had to. It was my first time coming to Hollywood nails as it is close by to my house. It was almost 8:00 and I really really Needed to get my nails done. Upon my arrival Kim the owner greeted me asked what I wanted and that I had to wait until she was finished. I'm very picky with my nails and how I like them to be. I've been to many places payed top dollar and have not been fully happy. I told Kim I wanted stiletto nails with designs and crystals and she went above and beyond what I thought. Kim listened to me and kept asking me if it's okay and if I like the color and the shape. Honestly it's a small place and not high end however I have been the happiest with my nails then I've ever been. I love love love my nails!!!! Kim also stayed past closing time For me and truly took her time to satisfy me and make sure I was happy. I cannot thank her enough for that. It's been two weeks in and my nails Look sooooo stunning and I keep getting compliments. Kim thank you so much and thank you for being the best nail technician I've ever had. Giving it one star because I have to give it something in order to write this review. Absolutely terrible. Nevermind the unbearable smell of acetone that overwhelms you the second you step inside this place, but the quality of their service is poor at best. I went to this place for the first and only time ever seeking a pedicure. They were visibly swamped, so I told them that I could be back at a later time, mentioning that my feet would need a lot of care, but I was advised to stay and assured that it would be a minimal wait. I was ushered to a lumpy recliner and, true to their word, about 15 min later a woman arrived with a small basin of warm water..... from there, the race began. My feet were not allowed to soak for more than the second it took to wet them before she went to work on my toenails. Nicked me twice; no cutical care; no leg or foot massage. Filed the soles of my feet for maybe 1 minute each. The entire experience, start to finish, took maybe 20 min... including the time it took her to stop the bleeding from my nicked toe. Completely 150% unsatisfied. Will never go there again. Buyer beware.... read more

I have been going here for over a year now since I moved to California and I'm glad I found this place. They have always taken care of me, even when busy. I have never walked out of there disappointed in my nails. Sunny is the best when it comes to nails :) and I love Karen, if you want the best designs in town go to her!!!! Don't plan on going back, I used to always get my eyebrows done there 2 years ago I went back this past tuesday for a mani pedi. My pedicure was fine went well the mani was done by a different person... I was cut twice top coat didnt even completely cover my nail it was half assed, by next day my nail polish was already chipping and it peeled off ! This really stinks because they're so close to me and the first few times I had a feeling that maybe they weren't the best but I kept brushing it off as maybe I was just being a little too picky today went in to get my eyebrows waxed and despite the fact that my eyebrows came out looking so bomb the treatment that I received during and before I actually got waxed was just... It was pretty inconsiderate I would say. And waited for a period of time which is fine I don't mind. But due to the fact that during my previous visits there I've had to wait extended periods of time it was just very reminiscent of my past visit there that Hollywood nails. So here I go I'm about to get my eyebrows waxed and the thing is is that I was sitting in a chair waiting for the Lady to be done with her client so that way she can work on me. I didn't know who I was going to be working with to begin with so you can imagine my surprise when all the sudden as I'm looking in another direction from the opposite direction I feel my head being pushed back in the seat with no warning. And all the sudden I'm supposed to be getting my eyebrows waxed. It was quite a surprise. She didn't even say excuse me I'm going to be working on you should just push my head back. And that was kind of rude... No, it was really rude. So she goes ahead and begins on my eyebrows and her treatment of me with Sarah that it was somewhat painful. She done use A straight razor to shape my eyebrows and I'm not even sure if that thing was clean. It just look like something that had set off to the side. What about Hep C what about all this other stuff that can be contracted from bloodborne pathogens. I'll know when I browse looks so good I'm really just apprehensive on whether or not I'll be coming back to this place. I mean honestly my eyebrows look great but the service was just awful and I waited forever... Or at least what seemed like forever. It's also not the cleanest place it looks kind of junky. second time i got a toe fungus there, first time i did not blame them but this time i know it was that the clippers and files were not clean. will not go back, dirty chair covers and lots of dirty pillows in the chairs,, why would anyone want to use a pillow someone else had been using,??? do not even go near the bathroom, i am wondering if the workers really are certified to work , few speak any english at all, they just chatter all the time in their language, I will not go back, plus they charge you to let you use a credit card, very dirty place. read more
