The playground is full of garbage from kids who toss their trash and parents don't bother to pick it up from being on their phones. The parking lot had a few on the trashcans and we thought that maybe maintenance was low and decided to go onto to the water to take a look. Not even a couple of feet into the park thousands and thousands of roach like bugs on the ground just crawling around. The trees were beyond infested and i think can be a root cause to them being at the park along with the water.

There are about 10 un-housed people that live here. They won't bother you too much except to tell you about the child predator that also visits there and to watch your kids. Occasionally, the Marshall will show up for a visit. The icecream man comes back sometimes and there is a taco truck around the corner at 711. Good people watching at the 711 around the corner too, and you can grab some cheap hotdogs for the game. They do have a pretty large dog park here that I don't see being used very often. More often than not, there are just random dogs running around. They also have a basketball court and just recently fenced off the kids play area. I suggest taking mosquito spray if you are wearing shorts after it rains.

Or I see him pooping and then by the time I get over there I cannot find the turds i know i saw him drop. #phantomPoops So what do I do? pick up other people's poop to pay it forward so that we're not all just out here dodging land mines of poop. There are a fee trees that clusters of locals gather under to have arbitrary conversations about the latest sully. which means i must bake in the sun cuz i refuse to get sucked into dog owner small talk. If you're hoping for any quiet UV protection in the desert, bring a hat or an umbrella... or walk into the talkers circle in the shade with headphones on. they dont even have to be on fr fr. just walk up and start rapping an E40 song and u should be okay. but anyway, its very NOT SHADY. you & ur dog will burn alive by noon. all this... And yet... I still love this place. Why? Because like I said... it's massive. airplane-hangar-meets-football-field type sh@t. And no matter how crowded it gets, there's always a patch of dirt and grass you can claim like the antisocial homesteader you are deep down.. This is a lifesaver for me but even more so ... my dog, who, bless his obsessive little heart, is deeply committed to his one true love: the ball. He's doesn't arrive at the dog park with a friendly attitude and wiggly tail ready to sniff butts or make friends. Oh no. He runs in with a stank attitude and prays he doesn't see his enemies Puppies & High-energy dogs. It didn't smell bad the way some dog parks do. There is a large dog park that is long. It has a nice planter area and a large tree to sit under. The medium dog park is nice as well, smaller but clean and didn't smell. The last dog park was "closed for maintenance" and we had a whole herd of dogs with us. Not many people there made it nice and we brought all the dogs into the large dog park and they ran and ran. I like how quiet this park is, how well it is taken care of and the dog parks being well maintained. I feel like this park is a hidden gem in our neighborhood.

Come out to the wetlands and see parts of "Vegas," one could only imagine. There are no casinos . It's park of a walking paved trail system, but you are able to detour and walk off into the mountain area. So much to explore here . Be mindful that no bathrooms exist. This is not part of the park system. You can walk off and get lost . The wetlands area is huge and has lots to offer . Be prepared ahead of time. No casinos here . We are going out to the wilderness . It's water and food type stuff you need. It's truly a blast. Remember where you parked. You're going to get those steps in today. Let's see where the day goes. Not only are these walking trails but bike trails too. Be careful and remember those around you. Your in nature and wild animals exist. You can sit on a cactus or something. Have fun and enjoy yourself and those among you.

So that leaves me with my only option of grouping my dog with much larger dogs that are 25lbs or more which is dangerous for my tiny 10 pound mini dachshund. In my experience being here a handful of times, I have a found that about half of the owners are careless and do not take responsibility for their pets behavior. My word of caution if you have a small pup anywhere from 6 months to a year old and you want your pup safe just avoid this park. But if you do decide to take your pup to this specific park then I'd suggest you leash them at all times, which kind of defeats the purpose of going to a dog park. This was my experience and sadly at this moment until many things improve, I cannot recommend Kellogg Dog Park.

We found this dog park randomly through an Apple Maps search for "dog parks." Chose this one…read morebecause it seemed the most open and spacious. Turns out it was. Great open space with real grass. Pups enjoyed chasing the birds. There's public park bathrooms nearby which is very convenient if you need to use the bathroom or just if you'd like to wash your hands - there's both soap and water as well as sanitizer. The dog park has several concrete benches throughout the park both in the shade and in the sun. We started in the shade but then it was too chilly so we moved to a nice bench and got some sunshine. It wasn't a busy day. We went on Thanksgiving Day. Several dogs came and left. The few people we met were very friendly and talkative in a neighborly way. Dogs are required to be spayed or neutered and over 4 months of age. A good policy to have for any dog park! There's a spacious large dog side and small dog side. Each has its own poop bag stations and water fountains for pups. Trash cans are abundant throughout the park as well. Overall, it's one of the best dog parks in terms of cleanliness, convenience, spaciousness, and design.
