Full court with regulation high school 3 point lines
    Roger T.

This review is mainly for the basketball court are. Been hee severall times to shoot some hoop and I gotta say that it has been one of the best parks that I have been to in a long time. The court itself you can play full court or if there are too many players, you can split the court in half and play a mini version of full court for there are another 4 hoops (2 on each side) for your convenience. The court has all regulation free throw and high school 3 point lines. The playing surface is perfect. No potholes, cracks, uneven areas, etc. There are a couple of concrete benches you can sit and watch people play. The drinking fountains are conveniently located right next to the court with 2 different heights. One for small kids and one for adults. Wehn it gets dark, you can push a button for the lights to turn on and it will stay on for at least an hour. A flashing yellow light will warn you that the lights will turn off in 5 minutes if you dont hit the button again. Lights will not turn on during the day and when the park is closed. Overall I am impressed with this park. Plenty of parking, 2 baseball fields, a splash pad, a large grass field for your kids and/or pets to run in, shaded picnic table areas, and separate playgrounds for different age groups that are right next to each other. Add to that there are plastic bag dispensers to pick up your dogs poop and trash receptacles are pretty much everywhere around the park. For you joggers there is a path that pretty goes around the whole park that you can run around forever if you wanted. I dont know how they can make this place any better. The two times I have been here I dont think I saw any kind of litter or garbage coming from the parking lot to the basketball court. I would say that this place is kind of a hidden gem for it its basically tucked away in a nice community off of Weston Ridge Street. With Galleria Drive as the main cross street, this park is only about 3 miles from the 95 freeway. Yelp 2019 Review #7 750 overall

His very first slide experience at Weston Hills Park!

We came here recently for a 1 year old's birthday party and enjoyed this park so much! It's tucked away in what seems like a newer community off Galleria Drive. There was a large grassy area, a massive shade structure with tons of tables, which was awesome for a party on a sunny day, an incredible splash pad, beautiful and seemingly new playground equipment with padded ground, etc. The parking was a little bit of a walk to some areas of the playground, but there was plenty of it. I'm not sure if this place is so tucked away that no one knows about it yet, but it seemed the party had the entire park all to itself!! Not in my neighborhood so I probably won't be back for a while but, if it was, I'd take advantage of it frequently!

I normally don't leave reviews, but parents deserve to know about our experience here…read more We were visiting with friends and their 5-year-old son was getting ready to play laser tag. While we were helping him get set up, he touched one of the laser tag guns and an employee immediately got irritated and told him in a very rude tone that he "doesn't understand" and couldn't play anymore. He's a young child -- kids that age are still learning and developing at different paces. There was no need to speak to him that way, especially in front of everyone. He ended up in tears. When I calmly approached to understand what happened, the employee continued with the same attitude and dismissive behavior. Instead of de-escalating, she became confrontational, which eventually led to security being called and us being asked to leave. The situation was completely blown out of proportion and handled in a very unprofessional way. This is a children's venue. Staff should be patient, understanding, and trained to communicate appropriately with young kids and their parents. If someone doesn't have the temperament to work around children, this may not be the right environment for them. On top of that, the playground area itself raises safety concerns. There are kids of all ages running full speed through a treehouse-style structure with steep stairs and heavy traffic, which feels like an accident waiting to happen without proper supervision or flow control. Very disappointing experience overall. Parents should be aware of how interactions are handled here.

The splash pad here is one of the largest splash pad at Henderson parks. It is spread out to give kids plenty of space to splash and play. It has a variety of features too. The splash pad is conveniently located next to a set of bathrooms and changing stalls. One of my favorite things about this park is all the green grass out in open spaces. I love having all the open space to let my toddler safely run. A lot of people bring blankets and hang out or have a picnic. The playground is good for about three years and up. A lot of the climbing features would be too big for really little ones. There are also two big slides in the side of a hill. There aren't any swings at this playground. There is a large covered pavilion area in between the playground and splash pad. It's large enough to be rented out for two different parties. We attended a toddler birthday party here and it was a nice space for that. The city should put up signs that the pavilions are paid rentals though. My friend arrived to find a party happening in the area she rented. The other party didn't know rentals were to be arranged through the city. She felt bad and gave up some of her rental space because she didn't want to ruin a kid's birthday party. Another cool thing about Mission Hills is the shaved ice truck that has a permanent spot when it's hot out. How perfect to be able to grab shaved ice when playing in the heat.
