This is my honest review as a first time customer to Hollywood Rides and the experience I had dealing with this business. To start; I rate this company 1 Star, and I personally would not recommend anyone to give them your money or time. To explain; All businesses make mistakes, it happens. Accountability and transparency should be expected when when they do happen. In some cases, they'll offer a form of incentive to acknowledge their error. They'll encourage customers to come back and allow them to make up up for their mistake. However, my experience with Hollywood Rides, was literally the exact opposite when they messed up. It's not the actual mistake that makes me oppose their business, app its how they handled it. Matter of fact it was far beyond poor customer service. To explain, Hollywood Rides offers rentals for some of their vehicles. When I booked a car to pick up, I was informed they "leave the office around 6:30ish" I was planning to arrive a little after that due to traffic, and I was traveling about 30miles to pick up the car. I ask them if it would be okay that I was going to be arriving a little late due to the traffic, They respond by text "sure, worst comes to worst we are gunna leave the key in the cupholder and you can just text us when you pick up the car" I respond "that would be amazing" They then say "okay it's going be in customer parking, you remember the plates?" I respond "yes I do, I have that info on the app" So when I I arrive, the gates are locked and there is no access to the vehicle as I was told there would be. Note: I already paid them for this rental. Instead of acknowledging the mistake they made, they ignored my following calls and texts, matter of fact I would never hear from them ever again. *****Yes, they took my money, told me where the car would be with the key inside, locked the car behind a gate and I would NEVER hear from them ever again.***** I'm 30 miles from home, with the rental car I paid for locked behind a gate and instead of answering my calls or texts. They ignore them. Instead of fixing the problem they made; they decided TO BLOCK MY NUMBER !! I was respectful, and more so confused to how or why this was even happening. I've never seen a business handle a mistake they made this way. As I stand in front of this business, I'm realizing my plans for the night were ruined. Done. Unable to find another rental car at the very last second, let alone; they still have my money. The only thing left to do, was go back home. Wasted another $30 Uber ride, and still no rental car. The did however cancel the rental car out of the blue, the following busniess day. And eventually refunded my money, the following business day. Of corse I was informed the refund won't reflect my account for seven to ten business day. Leaving me with no rental ruining all plans I had set. And the money I spent to pay for this rental, withheld from me for 10 business days. To break things down. *They flat out lied to me about having access to the car that I already paid for. *Upon arriving, they ignored every attempt I made trying to reach out to ask about the vehicle that is locked up. *They did not inform me they were canceling the rental, and gave me zero explanation for canceling it. *Ruined all plans I made with this rental. *They took my money and I never hear from them ever again. *They block my number to avoid the problem they made. This is the type of people who run this busniess. Completely Classless, unprofessional; zero courtesy, zero morals , zero respect, no dignity, con artists. I attached a screen shot of the text messages to prove validate everything I've stated above.. I recommend everyone to AVOID this place at all costs. *They're only action* was to ignore my messages, take zero responsibility screwing up, and to block my number so they did not have to confront the error they made. Pathetic excuse for a company. Pathetic excuse of a human being. And btw... I challenge you- Hollywood Rides to disprove me. I challenge you to gain some self respect and some dignity. After all, if I'm lying; This would be proof libel, defamation of character. You could take me to court for libel, even slander because I'm verbally letting everyone know about the type of business you guys do. Let's see if you acknowledge your error, and take any accountability for this. And if you would rather do acknowledge you're cowardly ways in private to avoid the pubic humiliation of attempting to respond to this review, try unblocking my number first.

I was shopping for Porsche Macan S for about 2 months untill i ran into Hollywood Ride's Listing, Hector was very helpful over the phone and allowed me to take it for pre-purchase inspection. It was my birthday a few weeks ago and no one had told me, but I was well aware my parents were searching for a vehicle as a gift for me. My credit is not so extensive but with my parents co-signing they were able to secure a hot deal with Hollywood Rides. They surprised me with the car and all of the cool necessities that it came with, include seat warmers, well equipped sound system, as well as leather seats that was pretty much the best package you could get. It drives so comfortably and seems to be reliable from every type of road I travel on. I was so happy with the car and the fact that they gave me a good monthly payment with pretty much fifteen hundred down, which was standard. Definitely come check these guys out you will most likely love their options.

Absolutely terrible experience -- I feel completely misled and taken advantage of. I purchased a vehicle from Hollywood Rides, and after buying it I discovered serious damage on the roof that was never disclosed to me. There are visible dents/holes and signs that someone tried to cover or hide the damage by coloring over it instead of properly fixing or disclosing it. This was never mentioned before the sale. What makes this even worse is that they later replaced brake pads without my authorization or approval and charged me around $900 for it without clearly informing me beforehand or getting my consent. I trusted this dealership and expected honesty and transparency. Instead, I feel deceived, pressured into paying for things I did not approve, and left with a vehicle that had undisclosed damage. Please inspect any car VERY carefully before buying from this place and get everything in writing. I would never recommend this dealership based on my experience. read more

Purchased a vehicle from Hollywood Rides. It was a 2008 BMW 545i. I was a new buyer, never financed a car before, I was juked. They told me that the car had check engine due to a faulty secondary air injection system, they had the part. Not a month into the purchase and the check engine came on. Still same code. Turns out its a VANOS issue, followed by the valve stem seals, the car was smoking so much at every red light once I put my foot on the gas. I learned a very expensive lesson. If you are going to buy used, buy something reliable, go to a reputable dealer, the hassle from buying from these entry level dealers is just not worth it. read more

I'm pretty sure the 53 reviews on here are from family and friends unless I should have asked for this Paul guy instead. Bobby is the most unprofessional rude car sales man I've ever dealt with 2 days to get a response? C'mon at least say no. Oddly got approved at another place right away.... Bobby text me asking why I gave this review.... well now you know. Stay away. Shady shady. Beware of this car dealership. I rented a car from Hollywood Rides via Turo. I drove it for less than 24hrs just test driving a car I was thinking of purchasing, and I drove it less than 60 miles. When I dropped off the car, an employee at Hollywood Rides inspected the car and said it all looks clean and good so I was good to go. That night, I got a message from Turo saying that Hollywood Rides was opening a claim against me thru their internal claims process. They said I did damage to their car when I barely even drove it and they even inspected it and said it was fine. Their claim was denied so by Turo, and so Hollywood Rides tried to charge me a "cleaning fee" so I lost my security deposit on the car. I spent the next 6 weeks arguing back and forth with Turo for my security deposit and finally got it refunded. Anyway, all in all it was a very negative experience. Be careful with these guys, they may try to screw you... read more

Had an accident earlier this year and Pavel was very helpful in the entire process. He ended up giving me the best rates for a car rental as well as guiding me through the body shop repair. It did not take long to repair my car back to normal and he was nice enough to upgrade my rental. I highly recommend going to Hollywood Rides. read more

Called on a Saturday morning to inquire about a car they have had listed on their site for over a month. Israel was the associate I spoke to and he said "yeah the car is still on the lot and had completed all inspection and emissions testing". I called again at the end of the day on Saturday to confirm the car hadn't sold and arrange an appointment for Monday at 10 AM. I travel almost two hours to view the vehicle and when I arrived it was parked in the back of the lot, blocked in by 2 cars in every direction so I wasn't even able to be test driven. Even worse, Israel completely LIED and said the car passed emissions when it still has not. I couldn't even buy the car today if it didn't have issues that were not disclosed. Some of the issues on the car included the door handle not working, different tailgate with broken handle, wrong seat material listed in ad, misaligned driver side door and the coolant was almost empty. Do not buy from here or waste your time viewing a vehicle unless you plan on buying a project car or lemon. read more

We have been quoted all sorts of different prices with different amounts of down payments by just about each and everyone of them. After stopping by and seeing the way these guys at Hollywood Rides do business, and the methods they use in teaching you about the purchase you're making, we were more than certain that we wanted to use them instead of the other guys. They do not try to lie to you and have you settle with something you really do not want or need, they are patient and let you make the best choice that fits your budget. read more

The best price in town!!! Before I finally got my car from this dealership, I called in Lexus of Glendale, Lexus of woodland hills, and Lexus of Cerritos. And none of them gave me the deal I just had. it was a great experience. The ambiance, their customer service, and effort really made me feel happy about my purchase. They even recommended an insurance guy for me so I had everything done on the same spot over the phone. Would highly recommend this dealership! read more

Bought a Subaru Forester over the weekend from these guys. Overall the experience was pleasant, a little bartering here and there but all as expected. They even agreed to give me a full tank of gas. I'd say for customer service I'd give them 4.5 stars. Now the bad. After driving off the lot, the TPMS went off notifying me that I had a flat tire. I told them that there was a nail in the tire at the lot but we both forgot about it - both to blame. But next day I open up the hood for a thorough inspection and found an oil leak, low fluids, and windshield wiper reservoir empty. This car looks like it will need a head gasket job, haven't confirmed but that's about $2000 extra on it now. There were no leaks on the ground at their lot, so I assumed it was okay, but after crawling under the car at home with a flashlight, the underbody had oil all over it. This definitely was a slow leak they should have caught. So for their vehicle inspection... 1 star. I don't think they checked the vehicle, even your oil change guy would note the low fluid levels, the radiator needed a quart to bring it back to the recommended levels. This would normally be a 1 star review but the price was pretty good for the car. For anyone who doesn't know how to diagnose vehicle problems, I would be careful. If the place wasn't so far away from me, I'd go back and see what they can do. But I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do anything to fix it so no point in making the drive. I'll update this review if anything changes. read more

I saw an ad for one of their used cars on craigslist.com and the price was fantastic so I went down for a test drive. I got to take it on a long spin, and asked if I could take it to my mechanic, a 40 minute drive away. Paul let me take the car out by myself for most of the afternoon to have it checked out, and everything was thumbs up mechanically on the car, exactly as Hollywood Rides, Inc represented online. My mechanic even said that if I didn't buy the car, he might... On my return to the dealership, Paul was very professional and stayed late to make sure all the paperwork was in order. The car's registration was set to expire in a month, and he was able to renew it in advance for me for the upcoming year, which saved me some time and energy. After being denied by several other brokers we had visited we eventually came across about three companies in the local area that were willing to finance with bad credit. Hollywood Rides was the second location we visited and we did not even bother going to the last one. They were able to approve us on a lease with considerably low credit and gave us an affordable monthly payment of just under three hundred a month, this does not include insurance. We got the basic package because it was going to be relatively more difficult to upgrade to the premium with the credit level, nevertheless I am very happy with the purchase we made and would definitely return. read more

Don't go here and get screwed over! We bought a car put $9000 down and financing the rest and 4 days later it needs $2000 worth of work! Hollywood rides won't do anything to help all they said was you should had your mechanic check it out. Wtf? But when we asked what maintenance had been done they couldn't get their " tech" to elaborate on what they did. They assured all was good on the car... they are a dealer and we are to make sure the car is safe? We now have our attorney on them. Save your time and money these guys sell bad unsafe cars. Wow I legit was walking around the lot for about 10 minutes waiting for someone and they are all just standing there smoking cigarettes all looking and not helping. I was looking forward to purchasing a suzuki kisashi here but they only attend certain people i guess cause one guy approached me i asked for the price and he tells me and walks off doesnt even offer any more help. Like wow really? The only reason he walked up to me is because i was inside the car checking out the interior of the car. I really wanted this car but ill be finding it elsewhere. I really doubt all these good reviews are from customers cause they dont even attend people. I am in my car writing this review and no one is even caring to attend me that seriously goes to show the attention the give to customers. I manage a cellphone store and would never let any of my employees just let a customer leave with being attended too. I would give negative stars if i could but yelp hasnt added that feature yet. read more

I wanted to review Hollywood Rides and my dealings with Mike and Paul here. This is a small dealership. The lot is actually shared with other dealers as you'll see when you arrive. I found them though an ad in craigslist and the price was competitive. I had decided to get my own financing though my own credit union as I knew Mission Federal would have an extremely competitive rate. This caused a few hiccups though as this dealer is in Van Nuys while I'm in San Diego. Not the fault of either company and with a little persistence all was worked out. I emailed them to see if the car was available and what would be the total out the door. Ie Smog, title, tax, registration... (as no dealer advertises total price and that's what I'm concerned about) I called my insurance company put the vehicle on my insurance so that I could drive off the lot once I paid for the car and have no worries in case of an accident beforehand. I then took a train up to see them from San Diego. I figured worse case I have to take a train back but this way if things worked out I could just drive home. They are about two blocks from the Van Nuys Amtrak train stop so I'm probably not the first to do this. Good guys all around. I think it speaks volumes of them that they have multiple yelp reviews all 5 stars. I noticed in my searching yelp on dealers this is actually hard to find. I highly recommend them read more

The vehicle has been brought to the dealership four separate times for the same brake vibration concern. Each time, brake work was performed and the vibration was temporarily reduced or eliminated, only to return again. The latest explanation I received was that my 20-inch wheels are the cause of the problem. However, BMW's own published information regarding the X3 M40i states: "The BMW X3 M40i is fitted with 19-inch M light alloy Midnight Grey style 887M wheels. 20-inch and 21-inch wheels are optional." Source: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/usa/article/detail/T0334902EN_US/the-new-bmw-x3-and-the-new-bmw-x4?language=en_US BMW's own documentation confirms that 20-inch wheels are an approved factory configuration for the X3 M40i. It is difficult to understand how an approved wheel size can be blamed for a brake vibration issue after four visits for the same concern. What makes this explanation even harder to accept is that the vibration occurs only during braking and has repeatedly been addressed through brake service, including rotor resurfacing and replacement. If wheel size were truly the root cause, one would expect a persistent vibration while driving, not a symptom that appears only during braking and temporarily disappears after brake work. I have also opened a case with BMW of North America. At this point, after four repair attempts and no lasting resolution, I expected a more thorough investigation into the root cause rather than a conclusion that appears inconsistent with BMW's own published specifications. I have been a BMW owner for many years and expected a higher level of diagnostic expertise and customer service. Unfortunately, my experience with this issue has been frustrating and disappointing.

Initially, I like shopping for a car via email and text message, until we get the framework of a deal done. He was very respectful and asked permission before actually calling me. Living in Southern Nevada and driving to CA to purchase a car may seem daunting. But Sergio made sure my experience was stellar. Before I arrived, after a nearly 5-hour drive, the car was fully detailed and looked brand new. All the expected accessories and owner's manual were in the car, ready to go. I had mentioned that this was a college graduation gift for my daughter, so the icing on the cake was he made an extra effort to put a giant red bow on the bonnet of the car! My daughter felt so special when she saw her new-to-her car for the first time! All relationships begin great...the honeymoon phase as it is known. The real test of a relationship is what happens when things do not go exactly as planned. The first test of my new relationship with the dealership happened when I took a closer look at the tires. Although they were all the same brand, Hankooks, the tires on the passenger's side were summer performance, run-flats and the driver's side were high performance all-season, non-run-flats. Of course, used cars are used cars and there is no obligation to ensure all the tires are exactly the same. It was my fault for not noticing the difference when I inspected the car...I my kids joy clouded my normal OCD tendencies! I reached out to Sergio and his manager Bernie with my concerns. They pointed out that no ill-will was intended (frankly, I knew this already) and that although there was really no obligation on their part to have matching tires, the recognized it was not ideal and offered to send me one brand new tire, that matched the summer run-flat OEM tires. So basically we split the difference, they provided a new on and I bought a new one to make a complete set. It was a nice compromise. What I appreciate most about my experience is that Sergio, always did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. I did not need to follow-up incessantly. For example, one of the keys was missing and he told me he would ship it the following week. The following week came and the key arrived via mail as promised. He even went the extra mile and provided two batteries for the keys! Great service...the little things add up! Sorry for the novel, the Cliff Notes summary is this...if you are looking for a new or used Mini Cooper, please do yourself a favor and ask for Sergio and MINI of Universal City. You will be treated with respect and the service you will receive will be second to none!

Let me start off with this... This place is no joke. Not only are their prices extremely competitive, but the personnel from top to bottom are genuine, and honorable. Here is my advice to you as I just purchased a vehicle here this past Friday. 1.) Thoroughly look in depth at the website pertaining to what you are looking for. If they have it, you will find a price that no dealership with they're overhead, advertising, and property taxes can touch with a ten foot poll. 2.) Do not haggle with the sticker price because once again, NOBODY can compete with them both price & customer service wise. That's a fact. 3.) Make sure to ask for BOBBY on the lot with knowledge of the vehicle you are looking for. I personally guarantee he will exceed all preconceived exceptions you may have in regards to a smaller used car company in the valley. 4.) I also suggest to call an hour or so ahead of your arrival time as a courtesy to let them know you are on your way. 5.) Make sure to ask for GREGORY in the finance dept. If you are looking to do a trade-in/ arrange payments; this man knows his business, and is the consummate professional. 6.) Maintain your decorum about you. I was a looking for a new car and after searching for about a month, I finally ran into Hollywood Rides website and found a car that I liked. My credit in not the best, so I decided to apply before I even went to the dealer. I called about a hour after I applied and spoke with Paul and said he was working on an approval and would call me back. Paul called me back about ten minutes later and said I was approved and could come when ever am available. I went to Hollywood Rides after work, the car was in great condition, great price and once I test drove the car, it was a wrap. The trip was great family time and it got even better when we arrived to the dealership. The lot was clean, organized and loaded with quality cars. We were guided where to park and when we got out of the car, Marcos lead us to the vehicle which was parked by itself for us to view and test drive. When we saw it, it looked great. Two years later, same story! I paid off my 2010 Prius, and called Paul to see if he had 2014. He had it, took the car for inspection just in case(car has 40k miles), paid $50 to mechanic shop next door(approved by AAA). Got little discount for some issues, and drove out by new car! Really don't understand "super cheap smart customers", who's buying a used car with more 100k miles and complaining about everything! This guys doing a good job, and I checked it, twice!
