I took my car to at least 20 locations trying to sell it. I got lots of lowball offers, but when I took the car here the owner was very thorough and kind. He brought the car to his mechanic to make sure it was good. Everything was perfect on his end. I messed something up with the dmv when trying to apply for a duplicate title so we couldn't make the car deal that day even though we went through with all of the paperwork. My wife's car was totaled in an accident and the insurance company paid out an unreasonably low amount given the highly inflated price of used cars at the time. Thankfully, we went to Rockstar Auto early in our search for her replacement, and were immediately impressed by the condition of the used cars in their inventory, and the prices they were asking. On a like for like, make, model and year comparison, on every car we were considering, they quoted slightly but not insignificantly lower when compared to all the 9 other dealers in the north Hollywood, studio city, Sherman oaks and van nuys area. But what really sold me on going with them, was Gor's friendly attitude and complete lack of high pressure sales tactics when we were indecisive. Even when we were fairly sure we had made up our mind but were still waiting for the insurance to pay out, he let us reserve the car for the week with just an extremely low deposit. Low enough that we really could back out without feeling like we'd taken a big hit. His professionalism was again on display when he insisted on volunteering all potentially valuable information and imperfections on the car before he would even let us pay that small deposit. Given it would not have been possible for us to discover these very minor details before the sale, he had no incentive to do so other than just being a good guy. He also was extremely accommodating in allowing for our mechanic to conduct a comprehensive inspection. Lastly he was very transparent in pricing. Within 10 minutes of quoting us the sale price, he provided us with the full final price, with all taxes, fees, registration, etc included so we knew exactly what we'd be paying before we committed. No silly made up fees some other dealers tac on at the last minute. My wife's had the car (Kia Optima Hybrid) for 6 months now, and she loves it. She drives 4 to 6 hours a day for work, working 7 days a week. Even with those thousands of miles of stop-start driving, there have been no mechanical, electrical or unexpected interior wear and tear issues. She's getting better mileage than her old Camry. In a much larger, roomier and more comfortable vehicle. She's very happy she took his advice and went with a hybrid. A decision she probably wouldn't have had Gor not explained how advantageous a hybrid would be for the driving she does. The experience could not have been better, and if I'm in the market for a used car, there is no question RockstarAuto will be my first point of call. read more

Fantastic Dealership!! I had told Gor, the owner, I was gonna wait a few months to write a review, but I don't wanna wait any longer. I purchased this vehicle on June 11th, 2020 I had been looking for a work truck for at least a year but its hard to trust people/dealers nowadays selling used, overpriced, high mileage vehicles. So many used car dealers have terrible reviews, and I pay attention to that, as well as their responses to customers reviews and how they interact online as well as in person. I saw the reviews for this place and they had Blue 2004 Dodge Dakota SLT with 101,000 miles on it. Honestly its in pretty pristine condition a few scratches. dents but it runs solid and smooth. I can't be any happier with this purchase. They were honest, easy to work with, and extremely well priced. I will probably buy another car from them in the future as well. I recently had someone run through a stop sign and total my car. In looking for a new one in a pinch, I came across Rockstar Auto Group originally for an Infiniti. Gor was going to give me steal on the vehicle, but just due to the short timing and my personal finances- it just wasn't time for a luxury vehicle purchse. Over that weekend I went to about 7 other dealerships for more economical options. I was extremely uncomfortable with the sales tactics of all of them. The cars were decent for their price ranges, but I just could not get myself to do business with people who felt more like vultures than humans. After a very agonizing 3 days of this, my gut just said to stick with Rockstar Auto Group. I called back Gor, and he instantly met me on a Sunday evening and was so ridiculously helpful. He showed me around to the other options he had on the lot and I ended up settling with a 2010 Toyota Prius with 61,000 miles. He was very quick and honest with all of his business. There are also just a few minor (electrical not mechanical) fopas with the vehicle that I discovered, and in letting him know, he is having me come back to have that fixed. Gor and his brother are honest and just great humans who are not there to pressure you into getting something outside your means, and stand by the vehicles and their reputations. Let me start from the beginning, I work at Starbucks down the way from Gor and his brother's dealership. I have known Gor for a few years now and he became one of my favorite regulars at work. (look at photos for proof) Of course its a used car so little problems are normal, but everything i mentioned above is costing me a FORTUNE TO FIX ! I now have found a place with two brothers Harry and Gor, who are just the nicest and most honest guys you'd ever want to deal with. They are just starting out and want to build a reputation of carrying outstanding used cars, even cars that go back for than a decade or more. But each car they carry is prime. They don't carry junk, and they don't try to sell lemons that are going to break down 6 months to a year after you buy them. But the biggest thing is, they are HONEST people (a good close friend who knew them turned me onto them) and they are starting out and building a new business, so they are really cutting their margins as much as possible to give a good deal, which they did with me for a mint 2003 Toytota Corolla, 150K miles, but prime condition, engine, cooling system, transmission outstanding, leather interior, Bluetooth put in by previous owner, all the paperwork or repairs and servicing, it is absolutely beautiful. But the most important thing, the excellent condition they said the car was in, was completely true. This is the most important thing. Two brothers working together to build a clientele and continue to expand by BEING HONEST TO A TEE, and going out of their way to give you the best price possible. I knew what they purchased the car I bought for, and the margin of profit they left themselves, was MORE than reasonable. They are making the effort to sell, VERY dependable and quality used cars, for very fair prices. But it's the TRUST that are selling, because they know that's what get referrals and repeat business. I am on cloud nine since I bought this car, and I am telling everyone, especially my immediate and extended family members and close friends. After a career in the automotive industry, including working as an engineer, factory test driver, quality control analyst, and then in sales and service, I have come to expect and be skeptical of typical used car dealer hype, deception, and their frequent inclination to pack sales deals with deceptive fees. I usually do better when buying from private parties, especially when they provide a credible story of vehicle history, supply lots of maintenance records, and allow me to do a thorough inspection. Imagine my surprise when I found a very good car at this small family-owned store in North Hollywood. The 2003 E-320 had a wonderful CARFAX history, full of regular dealer servicing, and the car looked flawless. Brothers Gor and Harry Vkhkryan were transparent and completely accommodating with my nit-picking investigation of the car and its records. Gor made me laugh when on my initial test-drive I felt a slight vibration in the steering wheel as I first shifted into Drive and we both looked at each other, and at exactly the same time we both said to each other... "bad motor mount." He knew it and wanted me to be sure I was aware of this fault. He also pointed out a faulty passenger side sun visor and a loose door handle. I purchased a 2006 Honda Element from Gor in October after my first car's transmission failed and became too pricy to fix. When I went to Gor's place, I told him about my transmission problem on my old car so he would know why I am in the market for a new vehicle. When I arrived to Rockstar Auto Group, I was shown the car I was looking at (the Honda Element) and I gave it a long check, took it for a test drive (but I was unable to take it on the freeway because Gor said he had thrown out the old plates). It seemed fine, it ran like an old car. Gor told me he had taken it to his mechanic and everything checked out fine, there were no issues with the car and it should last a long time. He even said he would never sell a car that he wouldn't let his pregnant sister-in-law drive; he was really trying to sell himself as a genuine person who cares for the safety of his customers. I paid $7,500 for the car in cash, this was the majority of my savings, but I desperately needed a car and he had sold me on this one. Three days after I take it home the check engine light flashes on. Fast forward a few weeks, the car starts to have some major problems. The gears are slipping, it doesn't want to accelerate, the breaks are squeaking, and there is a burning smell. The car began breaking down on the freeway and I was very close to being stranded in the middle of rush hour traffic. The next day after this, I take it in to my mechanic and he is absolutely mortified by what he finds. The car is damaged with rust. The rust problem is so bad that it rusted the breaks in place, so they had to replace the entire brake system because it's too damaged to just clean the rust off. Then he finds that the transmission is damaged and will need to be replaced, keep in mind the entire reason I was shopping for a new car is because the transmission on my past vehicle failed, and I told Gor this so he knew. Not only was the transmission failing, the suspension needed to be replaced, and there was a leak. These were just the costly repairs that they recommended right away. The repairs needed to keep this car running were more expensive than the car itself. I tried to reach out to Gor about all of this and I still have not heard anything back from him. I need a car for work, it's an essential part of my job, and because I spent all my savings on the car I could not afford to replace anything other than the breaks (which cost me $800 due to the rust) and an oil change. The car is incredibly unreliable and unsafe to drive (I commute from the east side to the west side every day), so now I am without a working car after only one month of purchasing it and my savings are drained. Based off of this experience, Gor is an incredibly dishonest and untrustworthy salesman. If he truly took it in to a mechanic he would know these problems, so he either lied about taking it in or lied about it being a safe vehicle. I strongly discourage anyone from going to his dealership and avoiding him at all costs. He talked a big game about not wanting to be the stereotypical car dealer who is only after people's money, but this is exactly what he is. read more
