After the check cleared his phone stopped taking calls or was disconnected. I heard from him maybe a week later from a new number, this was never explained. He finally returned, did more work and pleaded for more pay claiming he couldn't pay his laborers to continue. He does not have a car as far as I can tell. I ended up picking up items regularly spending $1600 out of pocket which he never reimbursed. He did not have proper equipment for the job and mostly relied on my tools and my assistance. His workmanship was poor and he would continually do unsafe things (to the house and his worker) to which I would intervene. He eventually said the work was much harder than he anticipated and I would have to finish the job myself or pay him more money than we agreed to. I realized this was likely because he created a huge problem by cutting the beam in the wrong spot. His lines were all over the place and 3" off the mark meaning there was not proper bearing below. His cuts not square and angled. He completely damaged all ceiling joists by cutting them wrong and created a structural issue. Long story short I am suing him. I ended up finishing the job myself which was about another week of work and correcting his mistakes. I am very experienced with construction and know poor work when I see it. I ended up paying more than the total contracted amount despite doing more than half the work.

Antonio felt as if he could bully, intimidate me into removing a negative review because I felt that he wasn't providing adequate service. I can attest to the fact that Antonio is NOT customer service oriented and should never interact with customers because his doing so will definitely hurt a company that really has good values, reputation and that is growing financially. As a result of Antonio's antics, I ended up writing negative reviews and even contacting the BBB to file a complaint. I thought that Antonio was the only person who could address the problem but was I so wrong. Robert contacted me on Friday, September 1, and I could tell that he was very concerned about what was happening with my roof and ceilings. He showed up on Saturday morning, with his crew, and he actually walked through my kitchen, upstairs bedroom and the attic space, reviewed the video and the photo's that were taken, and even did the water hose test. Very thorough because he actually cared and wanted to find out what the problem was. He listened to me, and for that alone, I was appreciative. He wasn't condescending, he was patient, kind and caring and thorough. He didn't treat me like I was an idiot simply because I was not a roofer. I even had to leave for a scheduled meeting and I was absolutely comfortable leaving him and his crew at my home with my kids, and of course my neighbor. He followed up, told me the next steps, scheduled the time and they showed up. No changes, now showing up when they wanted to, and a very detailed, step by step project. On Tuesday, two of his contractors showed up, and from the moment they met me, he knew my name and they were so polite, and clean, they knew their stuff. I didn't expect all that was done but after they cut through the roof, he showed me the water stains on the wood but everything was dry, then they replaced the ceiling in the kitchen and painted my entire ceiling. In addition, they went to my son's room and replaced the rotted wood wall panel that was molded, and painted it too! This was way more than I expected. Those two guys worked hard, and until they were finished. I tried to buy them lunch but they were so humble. We are praying that the leaks are all fixed (none so far) and, if anything does happen again, I know that I can reach our to Robert and He will be there! I will always contact Robert for any issues, new jobs or projects that I may have, even for my company as I am a property manager and will float their company around my company. Northland, please take this advice, Robert should be the face of the company. His customer service is outstanding and soothing. Our interaction on the phone and in person was so easy and pleasant that I almost forgot about the issues I had with Antonio. I can move on now, and trust Northland because of Robert and his crew.
