The floor sanders did damage to the floors they were supposed to fix. They left the house with debris and a mess. Yes. A cleaning crew came back after a week, but they only fixed the obvious mistakes. See pictures. In the garage they were to replace drywall. They did a subpar job on cutting pieces that fit, damaged a piece of furniture, and left plaster and insulation debris on the workbench and did not cover anything down there. Additionally, they removed fixtures for lights and left them unattached and with wires for the fixtures plus the garage door opener hanging in the garage. Very disappointed. USAA Insurance should remove them from the provider list and Southern Ct folks should beware of the polite people who leave shabby and incomplete work, refuse to return telephone calls, and generally cancel out the nice telephone call with the abusive way they handle your home. Don't trust them. It was a waste to leave the house unoccupied for more than a week and allow them access for more than a month to sand floors and replace drywall and installation. They failed and don't seem to care about is.

Many years ago I contacted Jim after another restoration company arrived on a site of a major loss ill-equipped so called them off the job. We knew we needed someone out there immediately, we ended up calling Jim and I have to say...ARS saved the day and we've been using them ever since. In the unfortunate event you experience a fire, flood, mold damage, sewage back-up or such, call ARS. They'll handle everything from dealing with your insurance carrier, emergency mitigation, packing out our contents from the affected areas and restoring it to new.

They came over to inspect the damage, laid out the entire plan of what was needed to clean up the damage and laid down several heavy duty fans to start the drying process. They came by daily to measure the water percent in the affected walls, floors, ceilings and carpeting and they replaced the garage ceiling and insulation to prevent the formation of mould . They were very thorough and very pleasant to work with and I highly recommend them as a restoration company.

This is my first time using Roto-Rooter. This situation was extreme, my cousins(who are extremely…read morehandicapped and have an aid living with them) home was backing up with water and sewage from the drain system in the house. Keep in mind that they are not able to leave the house on there own and must be helped in everything they do( ages 64 and 66 years). I was notified on a Friday that the drainage system was backing up, so I called Roto-Rooter Service on Friday and they came right out to see if they could clear the pipe. Unfortunately the serviceman could not clear the drain system. With that he told me that the system was one that was put in many years age and it would be impossible to do it the regular way. He then called another person in the organization and asked him to come out to talk with me about excavating the pipe and repairing it. Within an hour the Sewer Solution Specialist was at the door and explaining what had to be done in order for my cousins to be able to use the facilities again. While we were discussing the job to be done another person from Roto-Rooter had arrived and waited patiently until I was finished talking to the Specialist. This person from Roto-Rooter was a restoration specialist for any damage done due to the water and sewage backup, (I wasn't even thinking about that at this time). After we looked at the down stairs bathroom and found massive problems with it, he explained that his company could take care of the restoration and he would co-ordinate with the insurance company. Well to say the least this was a great help to me and when I called the insurance company they said they would send and estimator to look at the damage. Now getting back to the Sewer Solution Specialist he gave me a price and said that he could have the job done tomorrow so the people in the house could use the water and more importantly the toilets again. I told him to go ahead with the job and the restoration guy to wait until the insurance people give me the go ahead which would be in a few days. Well the next morning the Excavation team was there on time and ready to go. Within a few hours after working thru lunch they had the pipe repaired (which was no small task) and had interfaced with the town inspector so they could cover the hole and finish the project that day. This was very impressive! In the next few days the Rotor-Rooter Restoration Specialist called back to see how the insurance company was doing. I told him I had just finished talking with the estimator and he was going to the house this afternoon. At that point the Roto-Rooter specialist said he would co-ordinate with the insurance person and let me know how it worked out. Again this was a great help. In the end I can not say enough about the excellent service that Rotor-Rooter gave to my family and the excellent work they did. I have had many contractors that I have worked with in my life and most I would never rehire again. That is not the case with Roto-Rooter!! I would recommend this company to anyone with a drainage and sewer problem!
