Holoholo Bike Rentals is such a heartwarming family-owned local business, conveniently located right on the bike path in Kapa'a, the service was top tier with such genuine and friendly employees! You get to choose from a great variety of different bikes, all in stylish colors, along with the process being quick & easy. While you're there, you even have a chance to stop & shop at their store with a bunch of nice merch to bring home, we got to take our friends on such a fun & much needed bike stroll to see the beautiful views of Kealia

Great business owners. It's located the most north of Kapaa so you can avoid the traffic and cars if you head north towards donkeys beach. It's exactly in the middle of the bike path which is convenient. Good pricing. Fresh lemonade and melona bars available.

Ka 'imi is amazing person and have excellent customer service the bike are amazing for the trail

We rented two bikes from this lovely bike rental and were thrilled. The path is amazing and the rental place literally backs up onto it so we took our bikes and rode. We did a lot of things in Kauai, the Nepali coast, Waimea canyon, but this bike path was our #1 and we were only able to do it because of Holoholo

Dad & son spread Aloha here! Super friendly and helpful. He suggested a gear bike for me & husband chose a cruiser - perfect! He adjusted our seats, checked tires & we were off on a beautiful oceanfront bike path. It's been at least 15 years since I was on a bike - so fun & easy! Cute gift shop too

Quick. Easy. Sign a simple form, pay for the rentals and be on you way. The Electra Beach Cruisers are perfect for this path.

We decided very last minute to kayak up the Wailua River to the hiking trail that leads to the falls. It was already late Saturday morning & the options were few. My husband had found the Holoholo Rentals named in a trip advisor blog, so we decided to give them a call. They had availability to rent a 2-person kayak & could drop it off at the boat launch area for us too! Not to mention they beat the competition's prices. We just need to stop by their little kiosk & sign the waiver & we were on our way! We texted them when we were back & they were there very quickly to pick up the kayak. They also provided life jackets & a dry bag. I would definitely use them again!

Great Location! The owner is responsive and friendly and his prices are great. But....don't expect high quality or luxury equipment or any extras. We rented bikes from which we hardly had any options to choose from. Two of the four bikes ended up having some issues. Gave me the impression that they don't inspect their bikes before they rent them out. Also, they don't give you any information on what to do if you have a problem while you are out. Pretty much same situation with the kayaks which we also rented. Three of the four seats they gave us were broken and missing parts which made it challenging to get setup. I recommend if you rent equipment that you check the quality of everything possible before you leave on your adventure. Lesson learned for us as it would have reduced some of the stress associated with some of our problems. Luckily, we were able to still have a great bike excursion and kayak adventure. A few tips for the owner: it would be great if water was available for customers and also a bathroom. Also, there was religious music blasting both times we were there and the entire shop was all religious items for sale and really nothing else which I found off putting.

All i brought with me were my swim fins and an extra bicep leash I had. I was looking for a legit bodyboard rental and the shops I had been to and/or the beach side rental shacks had boards that just werent up to par. I was down the road at Tamba buying tees and the guy there (thankfully) referred me to Kapaa Beach Shop when I asked if he knew of any places that had quality bodyboard rentals. He told me Mike at KBS rented Mike Stewart Science Bodyboards.... The look of shock on my face was probably photo worthy. I couldnt believe the type of place I had been looking for was just down the road. It was already my 2nd time in Kapaa by that point. Kapaa Beach Shop is on your right side along Kuhio Highway if you are coming from the Lihue area. It's right after Chicken in a Barrel BBQ. It has about 4 dedicated spaces out front in its gravel driveway. They rent everything from beach umbrellas, chairs, bicycles, diving and snorkeling gear... You name it. You need it for the beach, he has it. It was jamming with customers the both times I went there but Mike was gracious and helpful with all of us. I was able to rent a hybrid Mike Stewart Science bodyboard which I used at a few beaches on the island. It was great. Thick board with lots of float to it, making catching waves easier. It also came with a Gyroll bicep leash... It was like a setup I would gladly have every day back home. I'm thankful to Mike for the Aloha and just being super cool in providing a quality rental. We chatted it up a bit and you can tell he is legit and really knows his stuff. I HIGHLY recommend you go see Mike at Kapaa Beach Shop for all your beach rental needs. He is the man. Mahalos Mike! Shout out to Chaos the shop dog at KBS. Chee!

Not many businesses like this anymore and it's that kind of thing we need in this world. Sean is a local who lives the lifestyle a lot of us dream of living and he is an AWESOME dude. He offered a lot of advice about where to go on our bikes (local hidden gems) and we were so taken back by his willingness to help out a couple newcomers to his side of the island. Usually, in these kinds of places, the locals hide these things from us "mainlanders" but not for us. I am not saying he will give up these spots for you but if you treat him with respect and kindness, he will do whatever he can to make sure you and your crew have an amazing time WHILE using his bikes. On the other hand, if you are snotty and mean, I could see him sending you on a 10 miles uphill bike ride . For us, when we are in Kauai, we will ONLY use Pedego for our bike rentals. I feel like I gained a friend and felt like I had known him for a very long time and if that is not hospitality, I don't know what is. Pricing was very reasonable for a 2-hour rental, and helmets were included, even though they were required anyway. The ride itself was beautiful--lots of scenic views, and we easily had enough battery to cover several miles. The bikes had great speed and throttle and were really easy to use.
