Came here on a whim since my daughter wanted burger for dinner. Nice place off the strip in the Art District. Drinks: My wife got the S'mores Martini and she loooooved it. I got the single barrel old fashioned and it was very good. Food: Wife got the classic and she liked it. Daughter got the Gold Standard with the veggies on the side. I got the French Onion Burger and holy crap it's the best burger I ever had in my life. Double smashed patty goodness and when you dip in the au just it puts the burger on a whole another level. Side are separate but they cook their fries in beef tallow! Gosh, if we lived in Vegas this place would be a regular for us. I can't stop thinking about that burger.
I made a reservation for 7 people on open table. The day of the reservation they called and let me know they would have to split up our party into two separate booths because they had a huge party reserve the booth that we were supposed to get. This was unfortunate but didn't stop us from coming. Parking was wild and very difficult to obtain. Especially during the weekend. Definitely utilized their 15 min grace period which was awesome. We were given two tables but ended up all squeezing into one table. Aside from that the food was amazing! Definitely look forward to paying $30+ per person. Burgers, shakes and appetizers were all so good. Highly recommend for date nights and larger parties but when they have the space for it.
We stopped by Holsteins late one night, about an hour before closing, because we were craving a milkshake and decided to order Brussels sprouts. Even though it was close to closing time, the service was friendly, and we never felt rushed. The Brussels sprouts were good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. I think it may have been a hot honey sauce, and since I'm not usually into spicy foods, it had a little more kick than I prefer. They were still cooked well, just not quite my favorite flavor. The milkshake, though, was absolutely delicious! It was rich, creamy, and definitely lived up to the hype. I'd come back just for another milkshake.
Bar/pub located in the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas. From the outside, it looks like a dairy or ice cream shop. Once you enter, it is a gorgeous bar and dining experience. We came on a Saturday. It was moderately full. We took a seat at the long, beautiful bar. Our bartender was very friendly and had great recommendations. The menu does have several mocktails. They also serve a light brunch. The drinks are very well-thought-out craft cocktails. Half the fun is watching them being made. We met with the mixologist who explained his thought process into making the menu. Very nice guy and we got a history lesson.
I was very disappointed after wanting to come to this restaurant for so long. I was happy to see they moved to the Art District. The place is really nice inside with cute cows by each table. The waitress was really nice and patient too. We ordered 2 of The Forager Burgers, the Billionaire Burger, sweet potato fries, regular fries and the cookies and cream milk shake. 1st mistake was that the burgers were not hot or warm. But we continue to eat because they were tasty. The Forager burger comes with a fried egg but on one of the burgers the egg was way too raw and caused my mother to almost throw up and she lost her appetite. They only discounted it. The Billionaire burger as expensive but not as amazing in taste, another disappointment. I truly had high hopes. The fries were hot and crispy. Why weren't the burgers as hot? The milk shake was the best part of the meal. My disappointment will not bring me back.
I was looking for something yummy for dinner on a Thursday night in Las Vegas and wandered into Holsteins. I ordered the gold standard burger, fries, and the Snickers alcohol infused milkshake. All the food was delicious and cooked properly. The milkshake was so much fun. And no, I could not finish it. Lol. Glad to go back and shout out to my spectacular bartender server, Taylor. She was terrific.
Wow! So good! Can't believe we passed this place up so many time .... never again. Burgers, dudes, drinks, shakes.... all were really good and the best part, we had an awesome server, Roxxane! Thank you.
We came to the restaurant about 2:30 in the afternoon. There was parking right in front, but you have to pay for parking on the weekends. We were seated right away in a nice booth. We were served our glasses of water immediately and the waiter came over to ask us if we had any questions. He did a great job on describing some of the favorites on the menu. He came back quickly and described the burgers, and we ordered a French onion burger, and a side of fries. The burger was $23 and the fries were nine dollars more than enough for two people to share. This is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. They melted the cheese on the top of the bun as well as the cheese that was inside with the fried onions.
After having a, ummm, challenging Caesar Salad and burger elsewhere in Vegas the day before, I wanted a redo. Holsteins was that redo, thank goodness, because they delivered. I walked up at around, say, 5:20 p.m. and was eating a Caesar Salad by 5:30 p.m. and a burger by 5:40 p.m. The Caesar looked, and was, delicious but a touch underdressed for my taste. I asked for some extra dressing and someone brought it out a minute later. The Nom Nom burger was a feat of engineering. The potato chips that came on it were thicker and fried crisp to allow them to stay strong in their role as a topping. The burger itself was cooked right to medium rare as asked, and the bun it was on was a good one. I'm glad I got my redo, and I'm extra glad I did it in a hip little place with friendly folks working there.

The staff made you feel welcomed as soon as you stepped inside. I ordered the Hawaiian Pineapple Necktie and its a nice blend of pineapple and orange curacao that refreshes the palate ahead of the heavier burger that followed. I got the Gold Standard. This burger means business and you underhand why Holsteins has the reputation for some of the best burgers. The ingredients while simple are not simple. The patty was nicely seasoned with perfect medium temperature. I got the subtle tang of the goat cheese and arugula, but what really sings is the tomato confit. They roast the tomatoes before searing it on the flattop and the roasted flavor really comes through to the point that you could put that by itself in a bowl and you'd be content. The sweet potato fries and the housemade ketchup is light sweet with a hint of heat. Wonderful spot I'll no doubt put on my rotation to visit again once I am in town!
Stumbled upon this hole in the wall in the arts district while shopping. The food was amazing here. I had a salmon burger and it was buttery, flavorful and apparently made in house fresh. We got the truffle fries to share which were phenomenal but I wish came with a sauce to dip I settled for the homemade ranch which was 10/10. We also tried the French Onion Burger and WOW this potion was huge. My husband couldn't finish his food for the first time ever! He wanted to because the flavors were perfect! Also we tried a non boozy s'mores shake it was delicious and huge. You get a bang for your buck here. The server suggested a secret menu item and it was a buffalo chicken dip mixed with the Mac n cheese. I will be craving this dip for a while. The only reason I'm giving our visit 4 stars is the service. I got served one glass of water and never got offered a refill and every time I would see a staff member they'd zoom past. My cup was empty fairly early on in the visit and I never got check on between time by the server. I ordered through her and everyone else brought the food. Granted she was bouncing back and forth from bartending and she was nice but there was a group of 5 next to us and she was chatty and checking on them often. I only seen her twice to our table. The start of the order and the check. I'm sad at the service because we went fairly early in the day and it was pretty empty but I will recommend because the chefs definitely know what they were doing back there! 10/10 food!
This was our first visit to Holsteins since their move to the arts district. I really appreciate the free curbside parking during lunch hours . The Rising Sun burger, Gold Standard burger, and beef tallow fries were all amazing. Cute atmosphere and phenomenal service from Adrian really made our lunch a great experience.
Restaurant week has arrived and this gave me an opportunity to check out their new location as their original location has closed her in Vegas. The restaurant week menu was solid and had some great choices. The Ruben bites were terrific, the burgers were delicious and cooked to perfection. Onion rings are a must try as they're cooked in tallow. Last but not least the shakes are solid choices. Service was great and liked the decor with the old school couches.

Came here for my birthday lunch.The bartender was so nice & was also a Gemini like me. The drink she made me was perfect. She got to know us & where we were from. The Rising sun burger was so delicious & the fries were perfect I highly recommend the Philly egg rolls. The milkshake was huge & really good. You could hardly taste the alcohol which was good. Everything was amazing from the food to the staff. I received a complimentary ice cream for my bday. read more

This Holsteins is located in the Arts District among many other great places to eat. I ordered the French Onion Burger along with a side of cooked in beef tallow fries. The burger was perhaps the best burger I've ever had. The fries were great, too. I won't eat fries cooked in a seed oil. The service was great. Our server, Cailynn, was very personable and very on the ball. She's an asset to the place. The ambience is upscale and stylish without being fussy. It's full bar, so all of your booze groups are covered. The prices are reasonable given the quality of the food, the service, and the ambience. Cheers! This Holsteins is another example of my admonition that the best of Las Vegas generally will not be found on The Strip. Yelp, Uber, and Lyft are your friends. read more

Cool, chill vibe with easy parking, way better than the Strip. Burgers were juicy perfection, onion rings were the absolute best (crispy and addictive), Brussels sprouts, mac n' cheese, and bread pudding all hit hard. Service was super friendly and spot-on. Quick note: skip the tall booth by the front door if you have back issues -- no footrest, feet just dangle (we switched seats, no biggie). 100% recommend -- killer food and great spot for locals. Okay so had to check it out. Holsteins Shakes and Buns just opened their new location, and honestly? It was the perfect excuse to explore downtown a little more For context, they used to be at the Cosmopolitan, so I was curious how the move would feel. And right away different setting, same energy. The menu didn't change at all, which I low-key loved because why fix what isn't broken? Now let's talk food because... so fresh. Like you can taste it. They offer so many delicious burger options, and everything feels intentional, not overdone. And then, plot twist, the shake. I ordered the peanut-flavored shake, and wow. Packed with flavor, rich without being too heavy, and it perfectly complemented my burger. Elite combo. No notes. And honestly, the relocation kind of made it even better. It gave me a reason to slow down, walk around downtown, and turn a meal into a whole little experience. Which, let's be real, is very on-brand for Vegas lately. So yeah if you're a burger-and-shake person, if you loved Holsteins before, or if you just want a solid food stop while exploring downtown... this one's worth it. Loved this place!! Cute little gem in the arts district we stumbled upon. It's like an old school, upscale, Vegas diner. Adorbs! Food was phenomenal, all of their sauces are house made including ketchup (big plus), and our server was fantastic. Wish we had saved room for a milkshake- guess we will just have to go back soon. The location itself is very nice, on Main Street with a lovely decor. We were greeted by a friendly hostess, and seated promptly. Our server greeted us with menus and got us water right away. They have an excellent drink selection, and full bar, but this being a lunch break, we kept it at just water. They have sparkling, bottled or "house" water. We did house and it was good, served in nice little cocktail glasses. The menu is almost entirely burgers, with some appetizerish items as well, a couple entree options, a couple salads, and some shakes too. I had the Nom Nom burger which consists of a beef patty, potato chips, thousand island, and cheese. It was cooked perfectly, everything tasted fresh and it was delicious. Fries are not included with the burgers and are a pricey add-on, hence 4/5 stars from me, but the flavors didn't miss in the onion rings with chipotle ranch I ordered. So probably worth the extra and the portions are excellent albeit pricier than other burger options I've had. All told my burger & onion rings set me back $31 + tip, but the service, decor, ambience, flavors and food quality were top notch and I left feeling like my money was well spent on a delightful meal with friends. 10/10 I would recommend Holsteins to anyone. read more
First timer at the arts district and grabbed a pre dinner cocktail here with the family. We were a party of ten who just walked in off the street without a reservation and they were easily able to accommodate us with a table in the back. The atmosphere was a cool balance of modern sheik while still being casual. The menu offerings were fun from the huge milkshakes to the plate of garlic fries and cheese curds. My vegan sister reported the side salad and vegan island shake were delicious and worth a try! A fun place to stop for different cocktails and apps. read more

I was so glad I gave this place a shot! I was craving a burger but not just any burger something more elevated. I found it at Holsteins!!! The menu is perfect with enough choices and extra toppings to customize. I ordered the Gold Standard and it was perfect, juicy, flavor of the meat was delicious and so juicy. The onion rings were perfectly crunchy and the best I have had in town. All there shakes looked delicious and I wanted a cocktail but also a shake so I am glad they make Boozy Milkshakes and went with the S'mores, the best boozy milkshake I have had. The grilled cheese and fries were perfect and can cure anyone's craving for grilled cheese. The fries were so delicious!!!! The French Onion Burger was really juicy, cheesy and flavorful!! The kids menu comes with a choice of ice cream and when the ice cream came out it was topped with Reese's pieces and fudge. The service provided from the moment we walked in to the end was great, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is set very romantic, lights perfectly low light dimmed, nice music playing, noise is good enough to hear the conversation. The whole vibe there is nice and perfect for a date. read more

I walked into Holsteins for the decor... it's cool, hip, and definitely pulls you in... but I didn't realize how pricey it is. Quick backstory... it originally made its name inside The Cosmopolitan, where it became known for gourmet burgers and those famous boozy milkshakes. It closed there in 2024 and moved downtown... but it's still priced like a Strip restaurant. My friend ordered the Gold Standard burger and that was the highlight. It was really good and exactly what this place is known for. I went with the steak salad... flavor was good, but the quality of the steak didn't match what I paid. I do like the vibe here... stylish without trying too hard. I would come back... but I will stick with the burgers. read more

That was a standout burger. The French onion soup burger delivered on the flavor, and held together shockingly well for how easily it could have ended up being a soupy mess. The bun will get your hands extra dirty with the cheese melted on top, but it's 100% worth it. It's got a good blend of textures, the right bun to meat ratio, the sauce isn't too heavy or overpowering and the dip finishes the full effect of flavor. The restaurant is clean and minimally decorated in a classic kind of way. Everyone was friendly and we didn't have any complaints about the service or timing. We weren't in the mood to do a milkshake that night but will absolutely be back for one. read more
So we use to frequent Holsteins when we stayed at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. When we came back to find it was gone thinking it was in another location in the hotel but was not we were not happy. Terrible loss. So driving to the arts district we found it. As usual this place did not disappoint. The food was stellar. The beef on that burger was so fresh and tasty. The decor was nice and the milk shake was unbelievable. Our waitress was so kind and provided the best service. Now when we come back that's where we will come for our burger. My brother would love this place. read more
After an early dinner, we decided to head to the Arts District for cocktails. The first restaurant we planned to visit couldn't accommodate us, so we moved on and came across Holsteins, one of our old favorites back when they were at the Aria. We couldn't had help but to go in. The place was nice. The atmosphere was chill. We sat at the bar (there was no wait). The bartender was great. I ordered a Caramelized Onion Old Fashion (Fn delicious!) and, since I can't drink without a snack, I added the Chicken Wing Lollipops. My wife went with one of her favorites, the Boozy Cookies & Cream Milkshake. As always, everything was great. We'll definitely be back soon for the burgers and fries! read more
We were starving and in the area, so we stopped in at Holstein's for happy hour. Their "happiest meal" is a great deal. For $16, you can enjoy a 7 oz cheeseburger, fries, and drink (including beer). Such a steal! They also have this offer with a Caesar salad (vs. burger). The bartender gave us the best hack with encouraging an order of each. I would pass on the salad but the burger was a solid home run. The buffalo chicken nachos are also INSANE!!! The way they drenched buffalo sauce on this chips without them getting soggy is pure magic. The interior decor is also so chic and retro. I look forward to coming back to try that infamous steak sandwich. read more

Upon entering this restaurant, the decor is a really nice rustic with exposed wood and brick and eclectic decor, if that makes sense. It's really nice inside! This arts district area is really nice and up-and-coming. We've loved all the places we've gone to so far! The service is amazing. We didn't want for anything. Our waiter was on top of it all.! I ordered a lemon drop martini (my favorite cocktail), as I do, it was great! The food was absolutely delicious. We shared an order of onion rings that came with chipotle, ranch, the chipotle ranch is the best I've ever had! My husband got a steak sandwich and I got the Nom Nom burger. I fell in love with this spot. From the cute booths and Vegas themed cows (you have to see them). Ww didn't get to taste the boozy shakes because we're just driving through Vegas. But next time we stay we will! The Brussel sprouts were recommended by our server, the absolute best item. Everything else was good. But the Brussel sprouts stole the show. read more
