I got my usual classic veggie egg white omelette and it was excellent, along with sausage gravy that was absolutely delicious. What really sets them apart from other diners, though, are their potatoes -- they come out like soft potato chips, somehow crispy and soft at the same time, and incredibly tasty. The chicken vegetable soup was fantastic too, easily one of the highlights. And a fun bonus: they bring out pumpkin bread with your meal, a delicious surprise touch you won't find at other spots. The coffee was great as well, and they keep plenty of French vanilla and hazelnut creamers on hand -- a small touch that makes it my kind of place. I had heard about this place for some time that they had the best corned beef hash I've ever had. Now while not being a huge fan of corned beef hash. I do appreciate a good corned beef hash so I was sort of anxious to try this out. It was a little bit of a drive from my house about 19 minutes, but let me tell you it was absolutely worth the ride. When you open the doors, you definitely get 1970s Grandma vibes from this place. I guess that makes sense since they opened in 1975. 1975. I like it when a place sticks to their theme and doesn't try to modernize with the times. This is definitely one of those places The decor is definitely retro, some of the pictures I recognized from the late '70s and '80s, a couple of display cases with homemade goods up front and a very friendly staff. Greeting you as soon as you walked in. The restaurant itself is very spacious, we got seated immediately and ordered our food. They offer you either toast, pumpkin bread or banana nut bread. We ordered the banana nut bread and oh my gosh, it was absolutely amazing! Just for the banana bread in a cup of coffee and the waitress told me that it is made fresh there everyday. I had the chicken, fried steak and eggs, which comes with potato chips.. slightly larger than potato chips. More like home fries, so make sure you get them extra. Crispy. My eggs were cooked perfectly, and the gravy on the chicken fried steak was amazing. The only thing I didn't like about the chicken fried steak, was it really didn't taste homemade. It felt like one of those ones you would get from Costco. That aside, it was a great breakfast. I did try the corned beef hash as well, and it was some of the best corned beef hash I've ever had in my life. Lots of thick chunks of meat with small diced potatoes and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Their coffee is good as well, not too strong but definitely strong enough to give you a jolt in the morning. Experience, combine that with the friendliness and attitude of the wait staff, this is definitely a place you want to add to your breakfast list. Bottom line? At 47 years old, it's a classic diner but loaded with the visual history of Vegas. Chairs are hard plastic but comfortable and nice sized tables that were clean. Waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially telling us of the locals entrance for future visits. The meals are massive so bring your appetite- or share. For an established restaurant throughout the Charleston Blvd corridor it was a pretty cool experience. Not knowing what to expect was the feeling that you get until the adventure begins. You walk through a small myriad of different shops with notable signs guiding you through a nostalgic scene of photos and various pictures until you enter a quaint restaurant that exudes old style decorations and a very comfortable environment. Ordered the Hawaiian omelette and by far the biggest omelette I've had in Vegas. Started with their bananas walnut bread and the cinnamon bread and both delivered warm. Don't let the outside appearance fool you! It may look a little run down or dated, but the hidden gem inside is worth it. The Omelet House has been here since the 1970's and has decor from that decade to prove it. It's eclectic. Unique. Spooky. But charming and welcoming as well. First time here, upon arrival I was very confused because you walk into a shared business space and have to walk into the building to reach the restaurant. It's a decent sized restaurant but apparently they can get pretty busy and you wait in line to be seated. Service is fairly quick, we were immediately asked our drink order and they have multiple people serving drink refills, so we were never thirsty. Our waitress was friendly and not overbearing (I don't care to be checked on after I've had one bite of my food LOL). Food is delicious, and decently sized for the price. The omelet was huge like a burrito with tons of lobster and avocado inside. There was also a side of baked thin sliced potatoes, which were very tasty and fun to snack on. My husband had the California omelet with banana bread, which looked delicious and the banana bread was home made. Our bill came to $50, and the breakfast could easily be the meal of the day with uts generous portion. A take-home box was needed. The place is in the older part of Las Vegas. The kind of place that is better visited during the day. Visited 9/7/25 Sunday morning. No lines at around 10 AM but judging from the rope lines around the "mall", it looks sometimes it gets packed. This business is probably feeling the effects of decreased tourism to Vegas, which I hear is getting particularly bad in 2025. I hope this business doesn't suffer too much, since it's been around since the 70's and is also an amazing breakfast place. Atmosphere is 1970's kitsch with old 25 cent gumballs, stained glass, old photos on the wall and vintage figurines. I wish I had more time to enjoy all of the little things that make this place special. They boast the World's Largest Omelet. I ordered half a world's largest veggie cheese omelet and I was able to eat it all except for the potatoes and toast. Felt bad wasting it. It had a lot of cheese in it. Telling us there is usually are 45 different omelettes on the menu and telling us what's popular with the locals. Next thing we know, a server appears at our table and looked annoyed. Probably heard my husband, but he wasn't lying. Not a smile from the server, just gave us the menu and walked away. Husband had the biscuits and gravy and said the gravy needed more seasoning. I ordered the Rio Grande Surfer (chorizo) with potatoes. It was tasty, but OMG it was greasy as hell!! I guess no one told the cook to drain the oil. I ate probably a quarter of the omelet, because seeing all that grease grossed me out. You walk in and join the line on a busy day - if not busy you walk along the hallway to the counter. The ambiance is Eclectic filled with Raider Gear to Betty Boop! The omelets are always fluffy and stuffed with lobster and cheese and topped with cheese and avocado- and big enough for two. All of the Omelets are BIG and Yummy! We have gone here for over 20 years and it is always so good. The service is usually on top of orders and refills without asking they are there! This time the girl refilled everyone around us, didn't even bother to come to our table!!!! I had to ask her for a refill and the coffee was cold, the second time I asked, the waitress brought it and thankfully it was hot! We also got an order of French toast. Most breakfast plates come with potatoes and toast or a nut bread so we got the pumpkin nut! The pumpkin nut bread came out nice and warm with a couple butters to use. Butter was cold so we put the bread on top and it was perfect then. This bread was amazing! I wish I took a piece home! The omelet was really good. Chicken fried steak, cheese and gravy on top. But the "spuds" though! Wasn't expecting that but was pleasantly surprised. French toast was really good too.
