The hot dogs on butter buns looked so good that we decided to order two each. The woman who took our order was efficient and friendly. Dogs were $10 each and they were very good. We had to wait ten minutes for our order, but that's because only one employee was in the back preparing food. But they were hot and it wasn't that long a wait. We ate in the food court. An employee was moving from empty table to empty table cleaning the table tops and throwing away garbage. So it's a clean environment and comfortable. Irv's Burgers is in the food court area in the Miracle Mile Shops. My son wanted burgers so we came to the food court as there were lots of options for all the appetites in the family. There's plenty of seating in this location shared with other vendors and it's your typical noisy food court atmosphere. He ordered the Irv's Original Roadside Burger with double beef patty and a vanilla milkshake. My son enjoyed the meal although he wasn't able to finish as it was so big. Went on 7/12, explicitly because of the sesame seed bun. We were not informed the sesame seed bun was out of stock until after the significant wait for our order. When I asked, after receiving a sesame-seedless bun, where the sesame seed bun was, only then was I informed they didn't have any sesame seed buns. I don't know that I believe that there weren't sesame seed buns in that restaurant, but what I do believe is that if dude that told me they didn't have any was lying, he's going to get home with take-out he's SO looking forward to someday soon. Get ready for one of those funky bites of chicken and something slimy, I guess. The burgers themselves were fine - reasonably well made, reasonably tasty, they were...fine. The fries are made explicitly to look like they're going to be very good, but then they're actually going to taste like the CCSD junior high/high school fries. I don't know if those CCSD french fries still exist, but when you're eating lunch at 10:30am because you started school as the sun was rising, they're good fries. When they're something you chose above other options and paid your adult money for, they're kind of infuriating. (If you loved the CCSD fries, I'm sorry to tell you this is just the closest corollary, they are not a 1:1, Irv's have more of a sort of gross coating/casing) Anyway, there are plenty of places in this valley to pay $30 for two burgers and mediocre fries that are better than fine, and come as pictured and described. So, if you're here at Irv's looking for a burger with sesame seeds on the bun, or really any of the parts that would attract you to to Irv's, it's very possible they won't have those parts and won't tell you they don't have those parts.
