These guys were great! Fast, efficient, considerate and friendly. The carpet looks much better than we expected given what construction did to it. There was a pretreatment that smelled a bit (I'm really sensitive to detergent smells), but the steam cleaning pulls it all out. My guess is that if your carpet isn't filthy, steam alone is an option. But we can't smell any residue. read more

WOW!! Josh and Holt's are the best. After two attempts with other carpet cleaners, who never bothered to even show up, I was a little skeptical that Holt's would come through. We have a three story complicated town home that is tricky to clean as the hoses must be thrown up and over our balcony from an alley. I reserved Holts Carpet Cleaning because of all the great reviews on Yelp and I was sadly & severely disappointed. I have 2 bedrooms with carpet,1 living room rug, and 1 flight of stairs with carpet that needed to be cleaned. Holt carpet cleaners did a mediocre job. The floors that adjoined the carpet rooms and rug were left extremely wet and I had to clean up after the carpet cleaning crew. I had to ask and remind the crew a few times to wipe up the extra/excess water they left behind and they still did not clean up after themselves. Also, once the carpet was dry it was left crunchy - which means the cleaners did an extremely poor job of vacuuming the water and cleaning liquid out of the carpet. Overall this is not a satisfactory company and I would NOT recommend to anyone to use them to clean their carpets or rugs. read more
