Communication with Jimmy was efficient. I described the job and he gave me a budget figure w/o needing to stop by. We agreed on a date and time window. Day of job, I got 2 calls from a New Mexico number which I did not pick up. Turns out the techs got done early. Later got a text from this same number asking if I could be there 1.5 hours earlier. So OK. Made that happen. The results - the outdoor patio carpet looked very good. Big improvement. The interior carpet, 3 rooms was just fair. It was old carpet and I didn't expect miracles but some of the dark wear areas did not come clean which was surprising with a truck mounted carpet shampoo. I'm mostly writing this review to comment on the fact that their truck mounted equipment generated carbon monoxide which set off my hard wired CO2/smoke alarm repeatedly. One of the techs was nice enough to help me troubleshoot the thing. This should have been a *KNOWN ISSUE* in the industry and I should have been advised to cover it up for the carpet cleaning. It took about a half an hour to get the thing to reset. The techs were easy going young guys but I would not let them leave with that thing blaring. I did find the manual but I was really upset with all that loud alarm blaring and not knowing how to silence it. So this kind of ruined my day could have been avoided. read more

I've had my carpets cleaned as well as my floors several times by them. They do a pretty good job. Not that GREAT the last couple of times, but I'm kind of a creature of habit, and it was convenient. I called to see if someone could come out to clean my carpets and each time, they increase the price. This time it was about 20-30 dollars more than i paid the last time, which was a significant leap higher and even more than the time before that. Like i said, there was one person before that was GREAT, and he's gone i think since it's been different people that last few times. The last couple of times, yeah.... not that great. When i asked about the increase in price, he said smaller jobs just aren't worth it for them anymore. I guess they don't appreciate the business from loyal customers anymore. We used this company a couple weeks ago to clean our carpets, which hadn't been cleaned professionally in a handful of years and were under the abuse of children and pets (they were dirty!). The initial estimate wasn't the lowest but likely the most accurate. Several cleaners responded with an amount ($100) that we knew was too low having used cleaners before. Due to heavy rains, the carpets in my bedrooms got wet. This happened on a Friday. My insurance company sent out Solid Restoration and they put in 3 fans and 2 dehumidifiers and left them for the weekend. On Monday they came and took the equipment away. Later in the day I was advised by my insurance that my claim was denied. I contacted Solid Restoration and asked them to come out and check to make sure my walls were dry because one of them had told me there was an area where the water had wicked up the Sheetrock. They sent out two guys who asked me where the wet wall was I said I didn't know, apparently communication was an issue there, so they went around my rooms with there gadgets proclaiming my walls dry, saying all I needed were to have my carpets cleaned. I put out the "mass" email early the following morning and Silver Olas were the first to get back to me and the only ones that could work around my bed so I didn't have to take it apart. I made an appointment. In the interim I called back to tell them there might be a problem with the drywall because it may be wet behind my exercise equipment which wasn't moved and I could feel the carpet was still wet underneath. Upon arrival at my appointment the Silver Olas employee found several spots which were still wet, including the entirety of the area behind my 5" baseboards, which were never tested by Solid Restoration. Silver Olas removed my baseboards and placed drying equipment throughout both rooms. They were able to get everything dried, the baseboards replaced and the carpets cleaned and everything looks brand new. I'm glad I told them about my suspicions. For the amount of work they did the price was very fair. I'd recommend them for any of your flooring needs. read more

I have only one regret and that is: not taking a BEFORE picture of our master bedroom carpet before Matt treated it. Although he did not promise that the white carpet would be restored to its original new condition, he DID say it would be significantly improved. We went with Silver Olas because the had good ratings and could get to us within a few days of calling. Super responsive, great follow through regarding scheduling and updates on day of service about arrival time. We have three small kids and two dogs so our carpets were in pretty rough shape. The last time we got them cleaned (by a different company several years ago), they looked great initially and within a week they were back to significant stains and discoloration. I have waited two weeks before writing this review because I wanted to see how things settled and we are so impressed. During the actual cleaning, they took all precautions to protect the rest of the floors, they spent extra time making sure to really do targeted treatment in some problem areas, and they were nice guys! We also did grout and tile cleaning in the kitchen and the floors just look so much fresher now. She was very informative and explained the breakdown of the charges to me clearly. I was happy with her estimates and booked my service. I was quite worried that my carpets would scare him away. I Have five in the household and they play many sports so we have lots of heavy traffic areas. Lots of dirt, spills, makeup, polish and paint stains. So after spot treating and using his rotor cleaner, my cream color carpets were no longer tan like from the high traffic areas. The tile had residue left over from the original grout sealing, which despite the use of several cleaners and consumer cleaning equipment items, did not come off.
